Just something to note one of the things that helps carry games like Grand Theft Auto which this will be compared to a lot is a significant storyline something to think about later down the line.
Dont know wether to post this here but for now im gonna link you to some more progress Moddb.com
Was having huge issue defining the lips (more practice required) fortunately the top lip is mostly hidden by facial hair on my concept which is the main issue not sure on the jaw i have thinned it out a little bit since posting this but the reference photo i'm using the guy has quite a pronounced jaw line. On the subject of the eyes though i couldn't agree more still trying to detail the eye lids. Thanks for the feedback most of this will be taken into consideration on my next character model rather than too much changes to this one as unfortunately i have a deadline coming up :/.
Is it really worth having a Bronie argument on the bb2 comments for a model pretty much most of all that has been said is just pure spam any comments on the actual content would be appreciated.
Love the cloth detail think the bottle might be out of perspective a bit though.
Great work non the less.
I don't know if this will work but i think a low poly cylinder set to follow a path might work otherwise your best bet is alpha planes of rope textue. Follow this link Forums.cgsociety.org
More fantastic work i really have no criticisms against it you are an amazing concept artist.
Whats the car? awesome looking scene btw.
steam is the best option for indies and multiplayer for them i think.
Its a possibility
Ok when you find a bucket that will hold the lava.
t'will be scary anyway :)
way too skinny to be joel but clothing is similar
I would look to a mixture of max payne and arkham asylum for inspiration in this game gives me a feeling that the character would act like that.
i can see the Franklin one but not the others.
Every single aspect of an ALPHA remember that.
The AK is already marked as AK-M rifle. Classic mode which is what is currently being shown is a recreation of the original Brain bread gameplay upgraded further down the line there is plans for a realistic mode called Survival mode.
The game is currently in closed alpha. Reporting patch updates lets the community know we are working to fix problems occurring and make the mod the best we can make it. But i get how its confusing for people outside of the alpha rest assured that if its public alpha/beta then it would be well documented.
Seems like a good base for the recreation but i feel you have missed important details such as there's a metal plate along the venting as the wall is a bit dirtier in the hl 1 one its little details that help make good textures.
Honestly its a really hard to make a mod and support yourself financially same as with indie titles people forget that us developers need to somehow earn enough to make a living while still creating that fantastic game you really want so like most things its about the money in the end and there's nothing wrong with that.
The AI will be made smarter further in development atm we are using hl2 headcrab zombie ai as placeholder.
Its music created by one of my friends.
With money you can get the engine licenses you need. :)
Love science fiction media favorite Sci-Fi game is System Shock 2 Favorite movie is Blade runner and among my favorite sci fi books is Do Androids dream of electric sheep ^^
You have some amazing concept artwork for No Mans Land
I do feel if you also revamped act one more people would be willing to pay.
Thanks for the reply i would love to know when the live stream is happening also i do feel it would help to get something on YouTube.
Im very interested in this game but i feel you are not exploring full coverage in order to reach your kickstarter goal and that occulus rift support should be a bonus not a priority maybe a stretch goal. I don't know if you have any trailers on youtube but that would be a good start and get some yt personalities a review copy maybe take a look at Greenlight just seems sad that there are far few watchers for this on moddb/indiedb as its not well known for such a profesional looking project.
