You're supposed to extract ALL of them. Like, all into the same folder, as-is. Then run TRIASSIC.EXE to play.
Works fine for me, there might have been a problem with the server.
Thanks for the input. A lot of players have complained about aggression level and animal speed and we are indeed working on fixing that. As for the Remington, it works fine for me. Just keep practicing- certain weapons are better for hunting certain animals, keep playing with it and see what works best for you.
No. This is only a texture pack, not a mod.
There are a few mods that add dinosaurs to Minecraft, though this texture pack doesn't support any of them at the moment.
This game uses Ice Age AIs and some custom AIs, these for the most part do not exist in CCE, so for the animals to work there you'll have to tamper with the order of animations a bit.
To enable cheats press ~, then type "enable debug 1" (without the quotes), then press enter. To turn cheats off do the same but type "enable debug 0".
Addons only let you add one screenshot and it gets buried after a while, plus I may add some addons to this pack to support some of the mods.
There is also a page for this on planetminecraft, you can see it here: Planetminecraft.com
Definitely looks like it! It's much larger than the original pyramids in the game, though, and also has an NPC village by its side.
Press `, then type "enable debug 1", then press Enter. This will activate debug mode. When in this mode press shift+L to enable flight.
Temporary. The skin has been changed a bit since this screenshot's release and will be available in the next Beta version.
Updated again, this time with clock, compass, water and lava animations, Iron Golem skin and some minor fixes.
I like JenDOS' one better...
New update, the 1.5.0 update was a huge setback but it should work now. All new items for 1.5.2 and almost all mobs are in. No clock, compass, water or lava animations yet though.
What map is this?
The sound patches in this game are the same as in Ice Age. For better performance, run TRIASSIC.EXE in Administrator mode under Windows 98\ME compatibility and\or install the latest sound patches for Ice Age.
Looks amazing, even though it's just a placeholder. I eagerly await the final Rahi, especially the Tarakava.
I remember those misprint masks... a very nice gesture for the Bionicle fandom. I hope you'll also make the translucent yellow Kaukau and other misprints.
Do you plan to also have the planet Bara Magna and the moon Bota Magna visible?
According to Action Forms this thing is called the "Time Symbol", it was a huge part of the storyline in "Chasm: The Rift" which was one of their first games if not the first. Since then it has made cameo appearances in later AF games including the Carnivores games.
See this topic for help:
Go to HUNTDAT and then MENU, all the menu graphics are there in TGA format. It should work the same in CCE.
Not unless you have the source code and know how to edit it properly.
Thank you all for your positive feedback. I've uploaded an update which has more custom graphics, including some new mob skins and almost all of the items. Be sure to check it out!
Mob skins preview:
It's still in there, just search carefully.
Regarding the animals speed- I agree, most of them are a bit too fast. Luckily, one of our team members is currently working on a patch that would enable us to change the animals speed manually.
The Gallimimus, Moschops, Dimorphodon and Pig are just temporary placeholders. They will all be replaced with entirely new models. Lystrosaurus and Peteinosaurus' new models are entirely functional and will be available by the next Beta release. The new Coelophysis and Placerias would also, hopefully, be ready by then.
Unzip archive into a folder of your choice, then run TRIASSIC.EXE to play. If you run into problems, setting the compatibility of TRIASSIC.EXE to Windows 98\Me should do the trick.
ModDB would only allow me to upload one for some reason... here's a few more:
Extract ZIP in a folder of your choice, then run TRIASSIC.EXE to play.
Extract ZIP into a folder, launch TRIASSIC.EXE to play. The download also comes with a readme in case you run into trouble. (nobody reads the readme file, I know...)
So vivid and colorful! Is this map available for download?
Thank you for this lovely insight into your level design process, and the beautiful graphics accompanying it. I also use Game Maker for my platformer project, it's a powerful tool, and indeed I have encountered similar problems regarding pattern repetition (though my solution was a bit different).
I have added this game to my watch list and hope to see more of it soon.
I'm curious to see how this project will develop.
Just a slight correction: Placerias was modeled by Brundle.
Is the option to switch to JJ1 Jazz sprites and interface built-in, or is it dependent on the tileset?
That's what I wanted.
About time! ;)
We do have tools actually, one of the original game's developers gave us the tools for map making and modeling.
Great progress! The only thing that bugs me off a little is that the inside of the animal's mouth is see-through...
