Blasting through doors with rocket launchers or BFG's could be really cool

Guys I am having trouble with human hostage grabbing, moving barrels and grabbing lost souls. "E" should do the work but it's not

Two things to fix:

1. Sometimes (pretty often) I hear the sound of footsteps nearby even though there isn't anyone there and I'm standing still.

2. Cacodemon eye is still visible on dead carcass after pulling it out. Would be cool to have it in your hand after fatality. Eye needs to be fully covered in blue blood instead of being partially visible.

First of all I love this mod and I will be donating.

Now that that's out of the way, I would love to see a few things in future versions of the game like:

1. Being able to pick up heads/body parts and throwing them at enemies (i know, it would require a lot of work to design certain body parts from all the enemies to look good when the player holds them in his hand but the heads would be marvelous to be able to pick up. For body parts, arms and legs would do.). It would be cool to see the blood pouring down from the severed limbs while beating the hell spawns senseless with an arm or a leg.
Left-click attacks with limb. Right click throws

2. Picking up runes or learning spells. If the system for this would be to pick up runes, then it would be awesome to see certain monsters drop runes every now and then when they perished. Pick up the rune, and you can use the monster's ability for a limited amount of time. An imp for example would give you the fireball power up, and you would cast it like an imp with one hand. A spectre could drop an invisibility rune. A cacodemon could drop a plasma rune. Archvile would be awesome to use his ability. Hell Knight weak green attack and Baron of Hell strong green attack with possibility of throwing 3 projectiles just like in Brutal doom. The other way to go about this would be for the player to learn these spells as he goes throughout the game and to use a energy-based system where each spell consumes a certain amount of energy depending on the power and damage of the spell. To learn the spell you could simply walk over a spell book or an orb that represents the spell; just like walking over a new weapon and acquiring it. Learning the spell could bring your health to 1/100 or it could require you to take the damage of the spell in order to possess it but this is optional. You could use the same or a similar system you use for using and replenishing stamina when sprinting. These spells could be mapped on the "9" key since I believe this is the key that allows you to hold a grenade which is pretty pointless considering you just press "g" to throw it. Spells could be cool to have in deathmatches as well. Maybe switching the blue potion things that restore health to mana restoration potions instead could work for this.

3. New monsters. I love the work you did on the Centaur Hell Knight. More monsters like this, weak or strong would be an awesome addition to the game.

4. Being able to break the human shield or meat shield's neck.

That's it for now. I know it's a lot to ask for but it would be unreal! The coolest one from all these would be the spells. Let me know if it can be done! :D

Okay so I actually got it to work by checking the box in the settings menu where it says "windowed mode", even though the game is already windowed. This allows me to play the game at the 3 different resolutions that are provided in the settings menu. 1280 x 720 is a bit too small. If i change the resolution in the SUN.ini file the game automatically gives me 800 x 600 resolution instead. At least it works though at 1280x720!

I just got the mod, was really excited to try it out. However, first of all, whenever I choose my settings, the game is restarted in windowed mode and no matter what I do with the resolution, it won't change. I tried messing with the SUN.ini file and changing the resolution from there but nothing happens. Then when I try to launch a campaign mission or a skirmish the window disappears for a few seconds and then I am presented with the message "Error - Unable to set the video mode". I downloaded the compatibility patch for windows 8/10 as I am running this on Windows 10.

I've had issues with Dawn of War - Soulstorm Ultimate Apocalypse mod as well. I am only able to play it in windowed mode and if I try to full screen the game I get a crash. All of this is a bit frusturating considering I have a Nvidia GeForce 1080 GTX and an amazing computer that can't run these games properly due to video issues. I've also tried running Twisted Insurrection with admin priveliges and with Windows XP compatibility mode on but I still get the same results.

Can anyone please help?
