That thing is *only* 22.5 meters tall. It seems like the camera in CoH goes 40m high by default, which means we can easily increase the maximum zoom out without reducing the performance too much. At 50m I believe the AT-AT will be clearly visible and easy to control.
Pathfinding however will be a big problem, and to be honnest I don't think we will ever manage to have a how-you-would-expect-it-to-do walking AT-AT : destroying everything on its path, steping over buildings and stuff like that...
Well that might become interesting when we reach this step for sure !
Hello everyone, my Edain mod doesn't want to find the game although it is perfectly installed and works fine. This led to the launcher not being able to update so I uninstalled the mod and downloaded the new version to install it from scratch.
But your autorun doesn't find the game as well, which is pretty annoying because it can not finish the installation... Any ideas of fix ?
The only problem I see is that my game is not in the default installation directory... but in the past the mod worked fine...

edit : I have the mod installed on another computer and it's working correctly. Any way I can copy & paste Edain files from there to my first computer ? I don't know exactly which files are Edain ones...
edit 2 : Exact error is a message saying "ROTWK is not installed. You need the BFME2 expansion pack to play this mod. Installation will be aborted." This occurs just after I select the installation language.
Currently 5352. But it lacks optimization as there are parts overlaping that have to be deleted.
Next step is animating !
Just imagined a "out of control"... We'll find a way to disable that.
Unfortunately movement will be the hardest part and that AT-AT might not be so AT... But we'll do the best.

Hey everyone, I know the mod seems a bit dead but it's not ! I'll be away for 2 weeks but when I come back I promise I'll upload some pretty nasty things ;)
I don't know much about Ebonhawk and SirPsyco's progression but I'm sure they're doing well. Btw modding is never cool and smooth so keep in mind we will always be very slow !
Will you post gameplay - I mean in-game - pictures of your buildings soon ? Cause, correct me if I'm wrong, your pics are software rendering and I'd like to see how it looks in-game (I believe there are not all those shiny colours) ;)

I have survived a few crash landings actually... It really depends on the terrain you're falling at and the pilot skills... Crashing on trees is highly hazardous but if the pilot manage to slow the helo down enough, it might work.

I am currently developing a modified version of Elite, with the plan of making most of the Space Marine special chapters to actually modify gameplay, without however breaking the game balance.
Let me explain : in the actual game we benefit of special Space Marine chapters that are unfortunately skins only. My mod attempt to recreate these chapters in gameplay via a menu where you can select the chapter you want to play with.
The goal is to keep it close to codices ideas while maintaning multiplayer balance. That's why I took Elite mod as a base.
However, if anyone is interested in this work, I would need Elite developers to allow me the publication of a modified version of their work. So if it's worth asking them, please tell me what you think ;)

In the lore, Stormtrooper body armors make them resistant to small laser fires, which (theorically) only knock them. In the movies you clearly see them die :/
Maybe we should do 1-2 hit to kill, and then make the Stormtroopers aim like sh*t xD
Well I like Wookiepedia since there is much of the information in it. I'm not a ultra canon Star Wars fan and am far from knowing everything of it, so I take what I can find easly on the internet, which is in many cases canon and original-lore-friendly content ;)

As it seems a bit slow, we might tweek it for gameplay needs. However it will have a pretty large area of effect to counter the slow firing (wookiepedia says 8m radius, it's way too large for CoH, but you've got the idea).
Of course, if you have other sources, please share them so we can find the best balance ;)
Well, it really depends on specific scene lighting... It's right that it's a bit too bright on this picture but ingame it generally seems fine.

Also, the power/ammo pack you can see on several pics is randomly generated, which adds some more sweetness to the thing ;)
