Good question. Even the DBZ movies aren't canonical for some people. Like there's no False Super-Sayian, Broly really is just a legend, Cooler -> never heard of him. Atleast the specials are 100% in the storyline so Future Gohan should be included too..

Wait, in Open Beta, the XML files are practically containing AMXX codes?
Or it's not on OB, only on stable as .AMXX files?

But there gonna be an option to enable or disable to the old way back, right? I mean to enable or disable multiplicative powerlevel. Some players would like the new kind of PL addition and some like the older, multiplied form of PL addition. It would be nice if it can be selected when creating a server.

And it was awesome back since 2002, when it competed with the most of the HL1 mods.. and they are still doing it. Can't believe 7 years have passed since the first beta. Too bad ESF 1.3 will be the final version of this mod. However, that doesn't stops modders to add their own content, like maps and new characters.. I even wait for GT content even if it's not canonical.

How come the Saiyans (Goku, Vegeta, Trunks and Gohan) get only 1 million powerlevel when they turn Super Saiyan? (eg. when Goku has 8 million powerlevel, turning Super Saiyan will give only 1 million points after, so it's only 9 million in total then in SSJ2 it will have 10.5 million powerlevel). Before it gave double for all Saiyan characters (eg. 5 million -> SSJ: 10 million powerlevel. Is there a way to revert back to double powerlevel when turning SSJ?

How come I never saw this? The only ESF's I saw was ESF Brasil and ESF Budokai 3.0... Still we need a public open beta server for those who wants to test Open Beta with others.

You need a Source Engine game which enables you to use Source SDK, Source SDK Base and/or Source SDK 2007.

We should make an ESF Steam community group.. I could make one myself, but I'd want to host a dedicated server for it.. But I don't have a spare PC.. If just somebody had a spare PC.. or even a torrent seedbox :D

Too bad Valve didn't made the GoldSource games to be installed in a separate folder, not in your Half-Life folder, much like Sourcemods folder for Source Engine games. This way Earth's Special Forces might be on a GCF file, just like Zombie Panic Source, Insurgency, etc... directly downloadable and updatable from Steam. If you have Half-Life, then it would let you download ESF, if not, then not.

However, if you like the BT camera style, type this in the console:
cam_xoffset -20 -> if you want it on the right side
cam_xoffset 20 -> if you want it on the left side

I see. You are right. Fmodx.dll is a sound engine which mainly for games. Even Brutal Legend uses it. I peeked at the sound folder inside the ESF folder and files are in WAV but still much clearer quality. By the way, if you want to use MP3 files instead of WAV, you have to pay for license right? Or am I wrong?

You barely managed to the LV Cel Shading and EV Cel Shading, and you already made the more special ahader style, the last one, diffuse + rim lightning, which completely makes the game a brand new one (not just a simple mod). The secret behind this is that the members of ESF development team has many talented coders, model designers and map designers who can code the engine in their liking so that every little detail can be changed. I'm not sure, but you guys make it possible by editing client.dll, and perhaps cg.dll and cgGL.dll... and perhaps DevIL.dll too. Fmod.dll is 1.2.3's MP3 player extension. This versions is a much finer version which is called Fmodex.dll. I really appreciate your work guys and I hope the best of luck to make it one of the best mods alive.

For those who are playing ESF and want to have a cooler experience... I have a secret for you. Just enter cam_xoffset -20 in console inside ESF and you gonna have the uber-cool BT3 camera style. It looks cool and it's more practical to fight in this camera style. To revert back, just press the home key. I hope you will like it.

It's even worse here.. The good thing is I can order many games via SMS (but apparently not HL1..). The bad part is.. here in Romania CS1.6 CS1.6 and CS1.6. Sheesh, everybody knows here what is Counter Strike... Still.. TF2 is 10 euros just as CS1.6.. Can't wait for them to put Half-Life too.
Btw Byokugen, I think the service is working in Serbia, don't know exactly, I have to check up.

Half-Life 2 isn't mandatory. You can own any Source game that includes the Source SDK tools (including Source SDK Base). I bought TF2 standalone and it installed both Source SDK, Source SDK base and Source SDK base 2007 (aka OB). However free ATI/Nvidia bundle won't activate Source SDK.
