secondly, where is the mod located on your harddisc? try copying the whole airborn folder into your "E:\Steam\steamapps\common\unreal tournament 3\" folder, that should do the job :)

Airborn ist not Unreal Tournament, it won't behave the same. We've written a whole new cmaera system, the movement is also not just UT3.
Its an action adventure, no fast paced shooter.
Its not like most mods, we almost reused nothing from UT3. All Shaders and Models are made for this mod, right now only the sounds are unreal and some assets, like particle systems.
It will look different and it will play different as UT does, our goal was to do something different, it is not finished but it is a start.
So please don't expect a finished game, its far from beeing done, but to join MSUC we had to release it.
Yes it has keyboard inputs but they are pretty much untweaked, some features like walke to run blend don't work on the keybard (NOW) and yes you can also play it in different screensizes, but the Hud will explode and the Outlines might act different, etc. Its tweaked for 720p so better use that resolution to play the game.

Ok before anybode expects too much from our first release.
We released something because we had to, you can find the release with google, but i'd definitely advise you to wait because there are some ugly bugs in it that i'd like to have fixed first.
Having that said, the Demo is more or less a visual tech demo with very basic gameplay, but at least one quest is awaiting you so you have something to do.
The Game was meant to be a prototype for an action adventure based around console, thats why we tweaked everything for smallHD as screenres (1280x720) and a gamepad (xbox controller) as the main input source.
Look it is very simple we had to decide for possible future plans and its more likely that airborn is going console, so we focussed on that, you can use the mouse, you can use the keyboard but its not as polished. We had to decide at one point what to do and we decided to go for the controller as its the best way of controlling such a game.
Airborn is not Unreal, Airborn is no Shooter, its a total conversion thats barely builds up on Unreal Tournament. We know that there are a hell lot of things to fix and that its far from even a alpha stage, gameplay wise but it is a start and it is a base to build upon.
also did you play with keyboard or xontroller? the current build is definitely made for the xbox controller not mouse and keyboard movement... thanks for reminding me i have to put that into the disclaimer at the start...

it's on my list but has a very low priority :)
We know that, before posting the link publicly we are going to fix the last huge bugs in this build, it is now a base we can build on and add more gameplay. So far we never neded a published folder, just use the links and set them up to your files and it'll work, so i don't see why we should use the published folder just now, or does it make any difference?
However as for the team it is currently closed, i'm not sure if we are going to open it sometime soon, but for now the team is pretty much settled with 2 more coders waiting to start on it.

as said we uploaded our stuff to msuc, but the public version will get some crucial bug fixes done first, that we couldn't make in time

we have a version online for msuc if you google for it guess you can find the download, if you know how msuc works, however for the public download i'd like to have a few (6) bugs fixed, the minority are show breakers, but as they are showbreakers i think we should fix them before releasing

thats a thing the future will tell, right now, the flight is very conceptional and far from playable
would love to but we have to work on it, we changed some crucial stuff which was risky so hopefully we don't have to revert it all to an older build...
yep its the clip the bullets are falling inwards and the pressure is pushing them out if no bullet is in the clip the empty clip gets blown out by the pressure of the steam tank

Why can little link beat up giant ganon with a small sword? He is not going to use guns like a uzi, more like a slingshot.
look its as julius said just a paintover of a lowpoly model to guide the artist on the texture creation. the gun works for the normal ingame distances and has really not a big role. It's just a gun you'll see from püretty far as you are not going to hold it and even then it would be rather small as its a 3rd person game.The barrel is formed like this to at first make the silhouette more interesting from distance and also make the gun look more oldschool.
its old outdated and its a little tease for the upcoming new one ;)
