i just bought me a ut3 version for PS3, we hope we can cook it for the ps3 :)
we have to thank you, and i guess epic does too, buying ut for a mod that has like well, optimistically 5minutes of gameplay :)
could be used as an alternative source of energy to support the interior with power, pretty much like photocells these days start to support the interior of a car ^^

as two of our members are right now in crunch on brink and crysis2, i don't think we can do all in time and quality, therefore we need to focus on what we focussed in the last demo, the base. In that case, the base of the flight not of the ground gameplay, which we focussed on in the last demo. So our main target right now is not to create the whole universe, all islands and a lot of ships etc. which is totally impossible. The target is to have a representation of the flight, having the chance to fly from one island to the other, having dogfights and a bossfight on the way there. We are right now working on the basic gameplay ideas for the flight, when those are done we can work on the finer details, whitebox the bossfight and parallel work on the digfights/freeflight.

we know that, thats beeing worked on, its pretty tricky as the jump is not one anim but 4 different anims, and we are not wuite sure where that heavy break beween the upwards motion and the downwards loop comes from

hm what if i tell you we have only one directional lightsource, nothing really fancy at all ;) other then that no object besides dynamic objects are lit ingame, the whole lighting is prebaked in maya
woah looks like all shadows are wrecked, the lighting needs to be rebuild is nothing serios, as we have no unreal prebaked lighting going on, i just forgot to remove that error, has nothing to do with your bug.
I can't say whats going on as we never had that issue before :/
hm your the first one with that issue, can't say why this happens, my best bet ist, that your graphics card is too old for the shaders? really can't say anything certain, because even on my older 8600mgs it works, with some issues but everything has shading.

does it give you any errormessage and did you follow the readme? copy the airborn folder into your unreal tournament root, make sure you have version 2.1 and all should work just fine

yes thats planned we just used it this ways so we can use a version control for our workfiles and ut generates double files and it was really hard to keep them synched, so we removed all the mod stuff and worked directly in the root
sounds like a grass issue, because there we have a lot of soft alphaed grass, hmmmmmm
and if it takes a while to load... it creates shader instances, that takes a while on first load up
could you show me a screenshot of your link?
the clouds are simple modelled and then i do some shader trickery to make them fluffy ;)

try putting "" around the C:\Program Files\Unreal Tournament 3\Binaries
if that still doesn't work, we had that issue on a xp machine and windows appearently couldn't get the spaces to work between Unreal Tournament 3 so he had to change the name to UnrealTournament3 and all went fine

could yopu please calm down? what does the error message say? are you following the readme? if the airborn folder located in: "C:\Program Files\Unreal Tournament 3\" ? if not move it there so it looks like this
"C:\Program Files\Unreal Tournament 3\Airborn"
now open up the shortcut and edit it, so instead of "E:\Games\UT3\Binaries" it sais "C:\Program Files\Unreal Tournament 3\Binaries" and thats just, relax a bit and just read what we have written it's all not that complicated after all... also read the part that asks you for the latest patch, if you don#t have it, it won't work.
Yeah of course, almost no one does it, because its so easy to do :D
Seriously, i wouldn't expect any complex story too soon, because of course we could hire a story write and make up a plot, and change it all the time we see, hm that plot will be hard to make with ut3 etc.
We are building the story for the demos around what we are able to do, and have a rough plot for the world and the current timeframe built, but really nothing that couldn't change when we see the need for it, but its not going to be the biggest story driven game ever with a thousand multiple ends, at least not the dem we are currently working on for the finals. It will have a little more story, but it's not going to be the next Outcast ;)
It's not that i wouldn't want to have the most awesome storyline ever, but we have to stay realistic and we can only tell es much story as we have gameplay, therefore our priorities are right now not very story driven.
xp or vista doesnt matter, you ut root, not the mydocuments thingie, however, also please patch ut to 2.1
