A unique and inspired shump. A nice change of pace from the usual bullet hell/danmaku offerings. Use over powered weapons to clear waves and then smash bosses. The design here is sublime and balanced, fast paced and thoughtful.
A fine little mini expansion. The addition of Neinzul units make for interesting defensive options and a few nice offensive options. The smallest of AI War expansions, it is still very worthwhile for the Neinzul Minor Factions that can be enabled. These introduce some great unpredictability into an already wild universe. While small it's very complete, offering more value than similarly priced DLC by miles.
The really great thing about this expansion is that all profits are donated to Child's Play.
The best strategy game I've ever played, with incredible support from a passionate group of devs.
I have over 300 hours in this game and it still provides me with fresh situations, scalable challenge and outright surprises. There is so much content in this game you will never see every permutation or synergy.
An amazing RTS with elements of 4X and Tower Defense games and the emergent qualities of the best roguelikes. As Dwarf Fortress is to sims, AI War is to RTS gaming.
Fun and brutal. It may seem short but a long journey isn't the point. This is for people who love perfecting speed runs. The controls are tight and the movement is intuitive. The huge, zoomable level is broken up into intense and fun challenges by the checkpoint system. Worth the asking price, finely tuned and well crafted.
Excellent and brutal speed run platformer. If perfecting a run is your thing you'll find plenty to love here. The massive zoomable level is great to look at as well as play on, with plenty of checkpoints to break it up into fun bite sized challenges. The controls are well done and intuitive and three difficulty levels will keep you busy for a while.
Just pure fun. Great pixel art, the music fits the theme well with a lighthearted spirit, the writing is really funny and the puzzles are devilishly fun. I'm really looking forward to seeing stable online multipler. This review is for the .907 pre-release version.
This is the more perfect NES homage I've ever seen. Everything about it is dead on. If you have any nostalgia for the NES era, this is a must-play. Even the manual is a dead-on recreation of the ones that came with NES games, right down to the blank Notes section on the last page for you to right your codes and tricks in!
Ten out of Ten for hitting it's goal so squarely.
Fantastic Gradius-like with awesome music.
Two of the greatest action games ever made.
Solid arcade fun with nice progression.
