My map has progressed into something...more evolved. A full on set of goals and a final boss end-level scenario. However, I have hit a snag, the infamous ED_Alloc: No Free Edicts error caused by the spawn of too many entities. Apparently a fix was added to Half-Life's .cfg file back around 2004 that allows you to set the max entity limit yourself. The original limit is 512, but SVEN Co-Op maps allow 4096. Problem is this parameter has to be configured for both the servers AND the clients. So my question is, will the v.1700 release include a higher -num_edicts value in it's .cfg file?
Drop me a line when you get that FGD out for Base Defense. I am VERY interested in making a map or two.
I would be interested in mapping for your upcoming mod in Half-Life. I see it has a VERY bright future along with a little push from the community.
