I noticed in the BaseEngine.ini the parameters
Is inserted in the "Engine.Engine" Sub-tab
Cut those lines and Paste them in the "SystemSettings" Sub-tab, over
This is awsome :) Gonna try it out later after work. Me and my friends have enjoyed your former releases of Modern Warfare, pushing World in Conflict to another level of gameplay
Add following lines in BaseEngine.ini
To Enable Cutscenes change: "bForceNoMovies=TRUE" to "bForceNoMovies=False"
that should do the trick
So awsome, thx alot... was just going through that ini :)
but it doesnt work anyway? right... found that little thing to but i still get the kernel error
Hmmm... I have the same issue, I am rather confused also as this download is under one mb as the beta download is around 8 mb in total with a bunch of dll files as well?
Is the DX10 & 11 Final really standalone? We do not need any additional files from before?
no problems, well. Do not delete the game directory located C:\program (86)\Steam..etc..
However you can delete the entire game directory located in C:\User\My Documents\My Games\Aliens Colonial Marines, As it is the location of your settings files.
However you need to reset your video-options ingame for each time aswell :/ thats the fallback :)
The error lies within the settings in the "My Games" folder, deleting the "\Aliens Colonial Marines" folder within "\My Games" will make the game start with the mod, however the folder must be deleted the next time you start up the game as it recreates on start-up...
well... can confirm that issue with crash on startup, seems to be some sort of conflict or something with the settings in My Games\Aliens Colonial Marines\ Directory.
If you delete that directory before each start-up you can play with the mod.
you can always try to set the files to read-only. If steam tries to replace/rewrite some of the files to the originals.
Make a backup of the original directories before overwriting and uncheck automatic updates through steam.
Maybe works :P
Ok, i doubted you on this one to be honest... But you sir, you pulled it off! It surely looks like dx11 and I am so pleased to see those lightsources coming from right directions etc.
Proper nice work mate and congrats on your progress in the media world ;)... there are several gaming sites that name you and your mod. Hope they asked first!
Now just to remove that silly hitmarker and action notificator ;)...
I guess this download is the 2 combined or do I have to download the main DX10V2 files as well? Anyway, have to say awsome work, as a Alien-movie fan I`m glad to see someone getting this up to visual standards!
Keep up the good work!!!
haha, yea came to part last night when the scripting didnt work out so well, it crashed to windows what ever i did. hehe... I`ll wait for the update before i try sp again but some cutscenes where really hilarious!
well, have a bit better ping today so there will guaranteed be some servertime for me this afternoon
hmmm... just for fun i tried to click the single player button in main menu, titled "disabled" and the campagin opening video began to play, now i am pretty far within the campaign without a glitch so far, a little unbalanced, the npcs isnt a challange really but its F_U_N!
First of all, Reeeeally enjoyed the mod, tried it on the server the whole day, until my ISP thought it was a good idea to kill my internet (is moving from a apartment to another), so im stuck with this little mobile internet thingy that i borrowed from a friend, on a ping at 500 with 50% lag.
Sooo, SP???? hehe, no just kidding, will have my net connection in about a month, just typed to tell you guys doing the mod GOOD WORK, beats the **** out of Discovery and X-fire all together, will be a freelancoholic for sure now
