Wow, I've been looking at this games news a lot and finally tried it out! Wish I would have sooner it's fantastic. I plan on buying it but am having troubles with connecting to servers. Firewalls not blocking it and I run it as Administrator but usually can't connect to any of the servers (I did once it was a blast). Anyone else experience similar issue before? Thanks.

Oh, well that is good :) I would love to start a big project like this, something with replay value and a strong community base. I'd think it would be a grand resume builder (If you are going into the industry). Can never find graphic artists though :P

I'm surprised you felt that you could not learn anything from this. Assuming your next game is still in 2D (since you mentioned same engine) I would think that you could still implement knew things into this project that would help you learn. I've been learning a lot of SDL and SDL_Net on my own time and it seems that anything no matter how useless it might seem when your done gives you great experience, practice, and forethought for the next implementation. PokeWorld seems like it would be a great learning experience even after completion, the concept is very popular. I'm looking forward to the post-mortem to see what you thought you weren't doing. Best of luck.

No I'm not French, I was clueless on a SN so I figured eh, I took 3 years of French and developed the name "PierreWillRockYou" but when I start playing new games I use "PierreOfTheFrench" just in case I don't rock you :) Je connais un petite francais mais je habite USA dans NY (Yes I'm sure its flawed)

Looks good, for some reason it doesn't look completely real to me. But maybe its because of the rendering background setting or the rotation its at in the rendering. Maybe its the legs looking a bit thin to me. Anyway, don't mean to be too critical, looks great really looking forward to the mod :)

I really enjoy its tactical game play along withe the sci-fi feeling, its a very well made mod that is extremely fun and very well done. All the effects look great, weapons, level detail. The only tiny thing that I noticed is that the character models seem to be a little low poly. Other than that minor detail, great work! 10/10 Haven't seen a great total conversion like this in a while.

Great work. I remember getting this mod when it first came out and playing it over LANs since there were not too many servers that were played on. Since then you've come a long ways. Everything looks great keep up the great work.

Complain about the stupid stuff like when a mini-mod (skins or models) are posted like 7 times in a row on the main page... not for things as epic as this. :)

I watched the Curse incident and yes many people may over reacted, but it wasn't the release date being pushed back... it was the fact that when it was "released" it was not released for several weeks... without any news from the devs... and it was said "On this date watch Fileplanet for the release" and many people who were excited constantly refreshed fileplanet all day just to be dissapointed. People were upset about the absolutely terrible PR, not as much the actual date.

I think that releasing a L4D2 at full price may be a little inappropriate, if it were released for 30 dollars I would be glad to get it since from screens it basically very similar in terms of graphics and mechanics an such. 30 dollars would give them good revenue and still be affordable (similar to Crysis: Warhead)

Grow up? I think it is completely 100 percent understandable to push back a release date (Perhaps indefinitely) when its still TBA date or even weeks before release. However, in this case, the mod was delayed several times than finally given a release date in which it would be released on. The release date was not made and NO news was given until 2 days after I believe. I can understand the push back if it needs to be done, fine, BUT to not give a public statement on it's delay or anything of that nature is somewhat disappointing especially after all the support the members here have given it. Also, it's still shown as released May 18th and I don't know if it is somewhere but I've been unable to find it. I agree that complaining might not speed up production but the community voicing its aggravations I think is good, it can lead to higher standards for mods. I don't know just my opinion I guess. I'm still looking forward to the mod I just won't think so prestigiously of it as I would have if the PR was handled better.

Edit: I don't know why this comment posted here, it was supposed to be a response to AlbertFish >.< lol
