Very interesting, I really like the games direction. I really liked the trailer released last year, especially the music. Can't wait for the demo!

Looks awesome, I'm glad there was more than just 'point to point' generic melee attacks with several different weapon models, it's clear that this is going to be a fully featured game instead of a derivation of another but under water. Can't wait until there's something playable out through preorder or something! Best of luck.

Although I've been playing around with developing my own, I think that engine licenses now are very reasonable being a lot are royalty free to an extent making them very accessible to low budget titles.

I just like the freedom of having access to all of the source code to tailor your own engine exactly how you want it :)

Looks great, I definitely think that the problem of vegetation disappearing in the distance is extremely annoying. I remember this being a big problem with BF2. Keep up the awesome work guys!

It's always much easier to re-create things, you never have to start from scratch once you've done something once :) I bought Project Zomboid on Desura a few weeks ago, can't wait to see you guys get back on your feet it definitely held a lot of promise!

With that said, reddit/twitter was seemed like a pretty big PR disaster... It seemed like a lot of people were trolling as expected so, but I think that could have been handled a bit better there was a lot of back and forth on twitter until the account was deleted. I think that should have been handled a bit more delicately and not just a volley of insults.

Anyway, best of luck guys, maybe you will catch a break and recover the stolen property.

Man you guys are pumping out updates! Sounds and looks really great, I would LOVE for situations where you are running low on ammo and need to forage for weapons/supplies off of enemies or teammates. I don't know if it's what you guys have planned but keeping frontlines supplied and not just blowing clips of ammo on bushes or holding fire until you get better shots would be a big refresher than the constant pray and spray of most modern shooters.

I think it's really great of you guys to have jumped into full on community news after your public annoucement and especially because I know in the other posts, you were kind enough to read/respond to comments. For being such a veteraned dev team it's really nice. Games looking great, can't wait to try it out!

It's a key that will give you access to their alpha build so you can test it much like a beta but one step before, you should know this! :)

Looks fantastic! Hope I can snag an alpha key myself :) Played Battleground Europe for a bit but couldn't get anyone to play with me because of the graphics.

I read an interesting article called "Write Games, Not Engines" and it was really great read. I play around with development and this really rings true. It is much easier to write specific custom elements than to try and make a system accessible so that in the future you can add those elements. I love modders don't get me wrong!, but I tend to find it much easier to develop with specific features in mind because you have the ability to manipulate the source code with ease.

Wow, I've been looking at this games news a lot and finally tried it out! Wish I would have sooner it's fantastic. I plan on buying it but am having troubles with connecting to servers. Firewalls not blocking it and I run it as Administrator but usually can't connect to any of the servers (I did once it was a blast). Anyone else experience similar issue before? Thanks.

There were several games exactly like angry birds long before it came out... I have more respect for Notch than the angry bird developers, for me, I'm more interesting in seeing original awesome games like Frozen Synapse and Minecraft than games like angry birds. From a business perspective angry birds made the money but it seems for the most part people are here for the love of making games, not money. Just my two cents.

That's great to hear! It's been a while since I've seen a true indie game coming out that the developers seem interested in the community. Best of luck with development guys.

A little off topic here but the university you guys are from, is that anywhere near Göteborg? A friend of mine is studying abroad over there so just curious :)

Looks great guys! When I first looked at the screen I thought it looked a bit steep of price also but after reading through / watching all of the media I feel like it is certainly a reasonable price. I might pick up the coop pack, was never a huge tower defense buff but enjoyed Iron Grip and this looks very in-depth.

PierreOfTheFrench Jan 6 2011 replied:

I think the ammo system is fantastic, you wouldn't want it to drop the type you have selected because what if an ally needs some different type of ammo you have? I think from looking at it for the first time it might seem a bit complicated but in time it will probably just become second nature to drop certain ammo. I think it adds a lot more depth to the game great job guys!

This is fantastic! I really like how it's like a moddb/indiedb condensed with downloading available which makes it much easier to download and maintain games. Looks really slick too guys great job. So this will not be a replacement/competition for steam? From the vibe I get and what is mentioned games like CoD will not be sold through Desura?

In a single player game I doubt there is any networking code at all, at least it would be pretty useless since sending packets to only 1 machine being the machine it is running on has no purpose.

Lag is network based.
FPS is rendering/computation based.
