1. I suggest you use GZdoom, it has better graphics combined with Brutal Doom
2. put the wad under the styles folder
3. drag and drop the custom map on top of GZdoom.exe (or maybe putting the custom map in the styles folder as well)
how did you get the dubstep soundtrack? the sound mod is just rock (which is still really good by the way)
Yeah, even the HD 4000 has trouble handling tesseract perfectly smooth. If you can there are ways to have external graphics cards on some laptops so maybe you can get that to work.
I actually wouldn't benefit right now with the expensive reflections because I only have my notebook, but I'm sure others with faster computers would appreciate it.
Also I suggest combine all the metalheart and just shoot games into one game so all the games can use the sauerbraten.org server (I noticed all your servers are down)
I like that you have smart water reflections that not only look better than sauerbraten, but use less GPU as well. The only problem with that is when you go up to an object not even close to the water (like leaves on trees on map hallo) it reflects things wrong. Could you include an option in the setting to choose expensive or cheap reflection. Also why is reflection still red, now it doesn't impact performance at all.
Try it and find out for yourself. Also, check with GPU-Z that nothing else is using the GPU (shouldn't be a problem on Win8)
C&C is avaiable for free legally, as EA is giving it away. Unfortunatly it's in an iso file, so you either need windows 8 or extra disks. Compactiongames.about.com
Windows 8 x64
Please help, my new laptop says "Tesseract Win32 Exception: 0xc0000005 [0x3c4]" when I join a game
How old are you now?
Put the RC version on Desura now, the graphics are better than ever (for this game).
In the game, go to community test chambers and look around there. Mods are pretty flexible in terms of API. (I think, I don't have Valve Hammer, in game editor is sh*t)
Could you have wall-runs, double jump, crouch and maybe jetpacks and grappling hooks, more than 2 color teams and colors are fixed (you CAN be red) like in Red Eclipse? Also maybe have vehicles like cars and Helicopters.
The most important things are before "and maybe", those are the things I want most and are probably easiest to do (except for wall run, that might be harder)
How would you know how many guns there are if you haven't downloaded it, there are more guns than shown in preveiw pics.
Horrible Graphics, not a good game
There is an extended version now. It's called Cube: Metalheart
Why is there a demo if full version is free?
Xonotic is just like this (concept wise). Nexuiz was completely modified quake 2 engine and Xonotic pused it even furthur.
I have to say, Xonotic is much better than Nexuiz and Nexuiz is much better than Quake 2 (graphics wise).
ID is not generous anymore, they don't make shareware versions, only paid versions and they don't release source code. Right now, ID is "Just another company"
Also, can you add mutilation to the options so the players can explode if a powerful enough hit occurs.
Also, for editing, is it possible to enable the Tesseract engine for dynamic lighting and not have to redo lighting while editing? Here's a link explaining how it relates to the Cube 2 engine: Strlen.com.
There needs to be more music variety and a better shuffling metod, sometimes, when the song is finished, it replays the song and that gets annoying after a while.
A good example of this is here: Youtube.com
Also, can you add portal-like warp zones and better bump maps like Xonotic?
Also, if the game comes AFTER Red Eclipse and is using the same engine, it should have all the features of Red Eclipse too.
If you're going to make another game based on Sauerbraten, add a ton more levels and put them into a seperate folder so I can find the NEW maps more easily. I want these new maps to take advantage of the dynamic lights
Make a DEMO. Then I'll try it and possibly buy it if I like it.
Actually, It's pretty well priced (not for an indie game but the quality of the work is that of a fully comercial game) many games cost $60, and a few cost even more.
