I have a lot of interest in Half-life and S.T.A.L.K.E.R. modding. These are two franchises that sit above anything else in gaming. Also interested in M&B Warband and Deus Ex modding, among others. I'm a really huge fan of these franchises, as well as franchises like Metro, Mass Effect, Tom Clancy's games, The Elder Scrolls and Fallout.

Really hope it is something in the style of Shorohov Valley and Spatial Anomaly.

The fact that it unfolds in only three locations is a plus for me, because I think it helps a better and intriguing story that doesn't drag on for too long. It's more focused.

The author is definitely not a very good english speaker. He works alone, and I bet the rooms were in fullbright for the sake of testing.

I think that weapon bobbing can only be implemented through a script. You should search OLR for that, or maybe even speak with the author of REBIRTH 2.0 (he initially had a small mod for weapon bobbing).

You could also try contacting the Lost Alpha devs, as they could help with these features, since the SoC sourcecode is now open source.

Yeah, PR seems to be inheriting some of MSO's qualities.

I too would rather MSO as a whole, but, truth be told, that mod isn't known for it's stability and there are some glaring glitches in it.

I follow this. Pripyat Reborn really helps the game a lot. Jack seems to have put a lot of work into his current version PR (he seems to have ported some MSO features, or maybe just the spawns).

Anyway, just to say that PR (with Jack's developments) should actually be the base of Arsenal Overhaul 3 from now on, IMHO.

Also, I think you should implement a simple upgrade system, like in Shoker. The vanilla upgrade trees are nonsense and sometimes just destroy the weapons or make them really overpowered.

Well, you're the developer, but I think that ultimately this is the kinda of thing players would love as an option, and not a definitive feature.
Having the option to start from a certain mission with random conditions or saving/reloading our own game.

However, I don't speak for everyone, and I'd actually like to see the other fans' opinions to know what ideas they share with us.

I think it would be more interesting to have something like the system in Splinter Cell: Chaos Theory.

You'd start the mission with your coop friend, and you were allowed to have one and only savegame from which you could reload from. I don't mean that you can only save once in the entire mission, but that instead every savegame you do will replace the previous, but you can make as many as you want. However, if you did a bad save, after you've done something that would eventually turn out wrong, you would have to restart the entire mission, even if you were at the very end. This also implies there would be a checkpoint save after each mission completed.

I think that in a game like DX, your progress is your own, because the game gives a lot of importance to what you do/choose as the player. I don't think it should ever be randomized.

I think that there are very few reasons to remake/reboot Portal. Of course P2's engine will bring a sharper look to the game, but as you're planning on actually reimagining the original Portal (and that should also include using P2 testing elements), I think you should use other ideas too, like the overgrown theme. You should really go further.

I would personally love to see the Stalker ranking from SoC back into CoP (I think it fits into the more PDA properties :D ).

Also, what do you mean by weapon hud collision? Is it weapon sway like in Lost Alpha?
