Bow is going to be a stealth-centered weapon:

It has slow firerate, ammo is rare(very) but it DOES NOT DECLOAK player while shooting, plus it has enough power to nail combine to a wall
(only in difficulties normal and below, on hard and ultimate player needs to be in Max Strength mode to one-shot an enemy)

I can make an addon pack that'll enable default hl2 weapons (maybe some custom attachments for them?)

I can't make animations for picking stuff like you have in crysis, but I can at least add some kind of animation for "telekinesis"

As I must agree with you about availability, and the evolution of the mod, but there's one thing that made us take such decision:
Valve update of SDK 2006 that broke Lua code.
And now SDK updated again, and broke vpk.exe making Smod:Standalone
not playable/installable for most users.

If you want to re-download the mod, id suggest geting beta versions: Bsnooch.com

As soon as vpk.exe will be working again, I going to remaster 1.5.8 on a standalone engine. to make it slightly more enjoyable, and bug free.

this is 0.3 version, there's going to at least one more release of SMOD Stdl before Crylife 2.0.
Most of SMOD tutorials can be easily adapted for SMOD Stdl anyway

Not In a official release, currently there's too much work done on current models to suddenly switch to new ones and re-do everything from scratch.

Crylife 2.0 will support addons, so it'll get probably released as an addon/replacement of stock weapons

That's because of missing precache in mapadd, you can copy-paste the mapadd files from the lates beta to 1.5.9 version. it should help

yes, edit system/core_graphics.cfg
and change "r_motionblur" "r_vectorblur" and "r_smod_bloom" to "0"

Please note that the versions of crylife starting from 1.6.0
allow disabling or enabling of those effects via options menu ;)

First of all,check if you have downloaded "Source SDK Base 2006"
Restart steam after downloading it.

Also check for "double folder" (sourcemods/Crylife/Crylife)
it should be: sourcemods/Crylife/gameinfo.txt

I'm sorry but I can't think of anything else :/

The weapon modification will be present in this mod,
in similar way to CryLife, but completely redone and with more options.

There "might be" some ester eggs like unlocking the NHEV... but shhh...
