I'll have a look into it. Having some bullets in the weapon instead of the every guns fully loaded will have a big impact (in a good way) to having to scrounge every little bit of ammo. Inflating the bullet price (not to insane misery level) can be done manually so that's not really imperative although it would be nice to have.

I believe having every single gun looted as empty would be quite bad and unrealistic. I'll go check the file to see if i can tweak it somewhat.

I haven't heard of Devolution. Is this another merged mod that you make? Or is it going to be another update for this merge mod?

That's great! I can play around with the value as long as it is there, I guess. Would you be able to give us a sneak peek of the new features/weapons? Also, in playing AO for CS, I found some weapons have questionable texture work and/or animation. Did you by any chance update some of the texture or animation for the existing weapons?

A few questions: I got this bug where all the stalker guards over at Skadovsk goes hostile to me even though I didn't shoot anyone. I was actually helping them killing some wild boars and bloodsucker in front of skadovsk. After that, I went to help a stalker kill bloodsucker and he shot me as soon as he saw me coming, weapons holstered/drawn.

Another one: Can I actually tweak the bullet drop rate in the weapon upon NPC death? I found that I'm swimming in bullets way too soon as every gun have full ammo.

Thanks! Great mod so far.

Really can't wait for this! Any update as to when the new version will come out?

Also, will it be possible to include feature (or whether it will be available) so that the bullets will be more difficult to find (or more expensive to buy from trader)? Would seem nicer so that I'm not swimming in bullets in the first hour.

Any idea when the update/next version is planned to be released? Can't wait for more weapons and better texture/animation! Loving it so far!

I'll take a screenshot and PM you with this. As for Les Mis, it is very likely the changes with the weapons are overwritten as I put in your mod last after Les Mis. So far it is fine.

The only thing I'm a bit concerned right now is if you could make the new weapon distribution (in trader and npc loadout) more progressive as to give sense of weapon progression in the game (no high end stuff in Zaton)?

Lastly, any idea of when the next version will come out?

Understood. I actually managed to somehow merge this with Les Miserables, as I only put in the values that pertains to what changes I want made.

Either way, I saw the white IMI Galil in-game (the first scientist dropped this), and the texture looks weird, honestly. I was just specifically thinking about the beginning weapon (the Mosin Nagant) as the texture really is wonky. You can perhaps replace some of the texture and/or animation from the OWR or AO (as credited in your mod already). I'll have to check some of these in-game once I get my hands on them.

Final question: When do you plan to have the next version out?

Dang, thats too bad. I might give it a try anyway, however besides putting in new weapons, do you have plans to replace all misery weapon textures/models? Some of them really are atrocious.

Hi,

I would like to try this add-on, but was wondering if this add-on will work/compatible with the Les Miserable 'unofficial' patch for Misery 2.1.1? Thanks and hoping for more retexture of the Misery weapons as most of the weapon texture from misery are, well, miserable...

Heya E.Nigma,

Could you tell me if some of these weapon models (and animations) are shared between you and the OWR mod (the new one maintained by jketiynu)? Would be nice if you can also import some of the weapons from that mod or collaborate to make some super arsenal weapon mod for CoP (and CS). Really can't wait for the mod to come out!

Also, is there any update for Pripyat Reborn that will be compatible with the next version? If not, can we still use the beta version with the next version? The PR add-on adds a lot of dynamics and enhancements that I would like to see in the game.

E.Nigma42, do you know if 2.3 will be balanced in terms of faction loadouts as to give a sense of weapon progression? Seems weird to have the best weapon a few minutes into Zaton. Also, any chance of repair kits?

Sometimes it works and goes to the selection (where you want to either play Faction War or story mode), but then the screen just went black and CTD.

If it is something to do with Lebedev's dialogue, do you know what or where I should investigate? I'm not sure I know where to get the crash logs for CS.

No go for this one. It crashed after Lebedev tried to talk to me the first time I woke up. I found the death_generic.ltx in the gamedata/configs/misc folder instead. Maybe I'm missing some other files? Followed the instruction to the T.

Thanks, I'll give it a try. Do I also want to modify the rank file so that the npcs will carry the guns from your mod? Also the trader will carry these guns? Or will this be taken care of automatically if I don't overwrite the files from AO?

I'll try the others. Thanks again.

E.Nigma42,

I would like to merge your mod with the Faction War or Faction Commander mod for some freeplay action with your mod. Do you know if this is doable or whether you would be willing to help or giving some instruction for merging it? I won't request a merge patch but if you can do so, that would be awesome. Thanks!

WW2 bolt action rifles? If I may make suggestion and if you want to have a modern-era bolt action sniper rifles, you could also put these in since they will fit the setting:

- Russian SV98 (http://www.snipercentral.com/sv98.htm) - no need for new ammo type, sniper looks like TRG to be honest
- Czech Varmint rifle (http://www.snipercentral.com/cz527.htm) - no need for new ammo
- Czech CZ700MI or CZ 750MI (http://www.snipercentral.com/cz700.htm) - no need for new ammo

Seems like you can take the models from different snipers models, modify a bit and you have it.

Just feels it a bit more of an 'upgrade' with a more modern bolt action rifles.

I'm going to try this but would you be able to do a complete feature list as to what mod you put in here? A list of new weapons, items, armors, and the like will be great too!

I was hoping you could also put in Arsenal Overhaul weaponry and make it so that rookies wield more traditional/old weapons and expert wield newer/modern guns as to provide a sense of progress in the game.

Either way, great mod and curious to know what's included. Thanks!

Awesome news! I'll be eagerly waiting for the latest version then. Mind telling us whats the weapon additions (bolt actions and other guns, besides vikhir) that you are planning to add?

Finally, will it also have all the additions that you are planning to add from the beginning (enhanced AI, npc looting, npc models, etc)? I'm looking forward to merging this with Faction Commander/War for freeplay after I finished the story mode :)

Thanks and keep up the great work!

Awesome looking mod so far! Just a quick question: Will there be a plan to include any more weapons? I'm specifically talking about bolt action sniper rifles (Since the list I saw under sniper rifles just the usual SVD and SVU)? More rifles will be great as well!

If you are planning on adding more quests and items to balance the economy, that will be great too!

Quick question if there are any plans to add more weapons (because some of us never get enough of more guns)? I'm requesting specifically (if possible) to get more bolt action sniper rifles, and just sniper rifles in general. OWR has SAKO TRG, and some other mods has Walther WA2000 (I understand its not bolt action), M24/M21, and PSG?

Thanks and awesome mods! The Pripyat Reborn economy rebalance just made it much better too!

Yippee!! :) This is exactly what I want to hear. I do not care much for weapon variations, but you likely have more new weapons in your mod that I know (maybe a bit less than SGM?)

I think would be better to customize the loadout of items that vendors have so we can see some kind of 'progression' in terms of weapon availability. Of course you can kind of 'cheat' a bit if you kill and get a sweet loot from a difficult NPC early on. Seems like you already kind of implemented this in your current version, so that is nice.

What I meant by harsher economic can be more expensive bullets (and scarcer when looting) so we have to conserve bullets (although not to the Misery-extreme). More expensive weapons and armor would be good too, but I know you already have that in mind.

jketiynu,

Thanks! Much appreciated response. I understand that you do not want to go Misery route (especially with the reception it is currently getting), either way I think variation of food items (instead of just canned food and diet sausage) would make it much more alive in the Zone. As for weapons, the only thing I can think of besides silencers and scopes(for new weapons) are stuff like red dot sights, expanded magazines, and so on.

Can't wait for Swartz 2.0! Hopefully you'll be bringing in new weapons with faction ranking system holding best weapons when they are high-ranking (just like what you have now), minus the radiation system.

Harsher economy would be much better. You could also (as a suggestion) limit what kind of weapons are available per zone (or by trader) so that you can keep the higher tier weaponry for later areas, aside from stashes...

Either way, keep up the great work!

jketiynu,

Glad to see you're making an update to this great mod of yours. Some questions:

- Would there be some kind of an updated/overhauled economy system to make it harsher?
- Is there a plan to implement some kind of weapon repair system? We can self-repair broken weapons (as to make it usable/sellable) at a high cost (1 repair kit = 2 repairs, or something like that)?
- Are you planning to add more food items, junk items, or items in general (could be unique attachment to new weapons, etc)?

Thanks!
