The concept was interesting but I have'nt enjoyed the gameplay.
Yes I know that I can't just say it sucks , because the modders put a lot of effort in it and the result is relatively good considering they'r amateurs , but I think it lacks something to this game. Anyway since it's free just try it and make your own opinion.
Trem is older than NS, and both games borrow from Gloom. As for the game, if you would bother to play a little more at the beginning of a game, you would find that if you got good enough, the aliens wouldnt camp at the doors.
One problem we always have on Trem is that the aliens are where the good players go, and so the humans camp.
