Who is your model designer? Sry, but I doubt that such a good modeler works for a mod which isn't a highlight in optical composition. Sure this isn't from a content site?

No, mp is only a additon which wasn't primary planed. But its a good way to test game functions and integrate map ideas which do not fit into singleplayer.
The funny thing is I have a working flamethrower code and a selfcrafted model, but... I'm not satisfied with it. The engine has its limits, I haven't a particle system and my programming skills are low (in other words: I have no knowledge about programming..). But maybe I will make something like a flamethrower.

I planed to use the old models. The HD Models are nice, but they are not complete... and I don't like all of this custom HD packs. They have the same quality fluctuations because they are collections of different autors or they use stolen content from other games/mods...

Yeah, the brushwork is not complex but HL really don't like inclined surfaces... thanks to vluzacn's zhlt that make this still possible.

REQUEST:
Is someone interested to rectify a english text for me? I need a native speaker (best american english but not essential). Knewleadge about (us) military manners and the HL-universe are useful. You shouldn't be younger than 18. You will be credited by name of course! ;)

PM to me.

Yeah. I agree. Good intentions but i don't understand why you demonstrate entities which aren't very difficult in use. There are some good wiki's on web for that. A video tutorial isn't really necessary for such simple entities.

This code is more or less my code. The thing is, I never learned to program C++. I only tried to understand some parts in the goldscr-code and tried to use the existing functions to build this flamethrower. A good coder would see that this isn a smart methode to create a flamethrower in HL. It reach the engine limits very fast (too many entities error). At the moment its really more an experiment.

Yeah, 50% of the newer "mods" (or how they would call "superduper megamonster extrem detailed hd the hundreth"-modelpack) are using stolen content from other games and the folks celebrate these mods! Whats going on with HL-Editing Community? Is there no decency and ambition anymore? Its a shame!

No, its not part of Half-Life anymore since... many years? At least since the SDK 2.3 (from 2001?) Half-Life only use the egon_fire.sc and the egon_stop.sc. So it shouldn't be in the hl-folders, if your are playing under steam. Opfor based on a very old SourceCode (SDK 2.0 maybe?) and so they dont have the changes and "improvments" like Half-Life. Short, i only had a egon_effects.sc in my Opfor folder ;)

There are not all files included. I had to copy some more event-files from my own opfor folder. For example: egon_effects.sc.

Aha... and ripping models from games like Battlefield or CoD to use textures or modelparts isn't illegal? This has nothing to do with "dont agree about his models". Guys, what's your comprehension of law and order?
Use the free stuff from this many modelsites, but don't steal buyable content!

That's not the point! The problem is that you violate copyrights. And the desert chopper is the same like in Apache: Air Assault. You never wrote in the description that its from MoH.

Welcome to the reality!

You use content from a game you have to buy! I dont think that they gave you the permission to use it. So it doesn't look like you work with other and until now, you haven't credited anyone exactly.

Normally collecting stuff for a HD-pack works differently...
