I'm sure they'll find some way around it, Middle Earths Bane said they'd be releasing all the assets that were created.

I bought a finished one :P Also, I have a quick question for the Epoch Games team: do you plan on having races? Like elves, dwarves, and men? Or just one race?

Yeah, but I for one am relatively new to PC gaming. Skyrim was only my second PC game :P So the Epoch Games team will have to lay out a real elaborate, step-by-step tutorial on how to install it for noobs like me ;)

So it's a game?! That's great news! And here I was thinking it was just going to be a mod the entire time :P

Will the Epoch Games team be planning on releasing it on Steam? Or is that even going to be allowed?

So let me get this straight: Lays of Althas will be on an entirely new engine? So Skyrim is out of the discussion?

Me too. Even if he doesn't have modding experience, he could at the very least be granted some sort of spot on the team. Even if it's just being an official Epoch Games member who spreads the word. I don't know, something along those lines.

RA, you are truly the unsung hero behind MERP. Although you weren't on the team you really spread awareness and really kept MERP alive during its darkest moments. So thank you RA.

I feel the exact same way. It's a tough pill to swallow, that's for sure. The best thing you can do is remember MERP and try to have the same attitude towards Lays of Althas.

I wouldn't worry to much about that, the Epoch Games team will surely be paying attention to realism. Have you forgotten everything MERP stood for? ;)

MERP team, Maty743 and I have been wondering if there are any unreleased armor mods the MERP team created before the C&D? If some of these mods are released independently, then there isn't really anything wrong with it (seeing as there's already many LOTR armor mods).

So if you have any content containing Elven armor in specific, please get back to me. If you'd prefer it be private, then just shoot me a message.

You know what, there's actually a few things I would like to say.

How ******* dare they. How DARE Warner Brothers do this. A beautiful, breathtaking mod just taken away because it made their piece of **** games look just that. This ****** me off beyond comparison. Throughout me supporting MERP, I was always one to say "don't trash Warner Bros." or "calling them names gets us no where" but I just don't ******* care anymore.

I've tried keeping a cool head while I read through all the ******** Warner Bros. threw towards MERP advocates. I've tried being calm while following the MERP team. I am sick and tired of letting corporate greed killing off any good modifications that fans bring to the table. This is complete and utter horse ****.

You know, I've been thinking about taking up modding lately. For awhile I've wanted to create my own LOTR-inspired armors and this has just inspired me 10x more. Anyone who would like to join, get a hold of me be it through comments or message.

Warner Bros, Paul Zaentz, here's a big **** YOU. Paul, Gimli put it best when he said, "Ishkhaqwi ai durugnul! (I will spit upon your grave!). Oh, hold on a second. Was me using that line a copyright violation?

This is a ******* joke. Warner Bros, go suck on a throbber. You'll NEVER see another dime of mine.

Although there's many things I would like to say, I believe a scene between Sam and Frodo put it best.

"Frodo: I can't do this, Sam.

Sam: I know. It's all wrong. By rights we shouldn't even be here. But we are. It's like in the great stories, Mr. Frodo. The ones that really mattered. Full of darkness and danger, they were. And sometimes you didn't want to know the end. Because how could the end be happy? How could the world go back to the way it was when so much bad had happened? But in the end, it's only a passing thing, this shadow. Even darkness must pass. A new day will come. And when the sun shines it will shine out the clearer. Those were the stories that stayed with you. That meant something, even if you were too small to understand why. But I think, Mr. Frodo, I do understand. I know now. Folk in those stories had lots of chances of turning back, only they didn't. They kept going. Because they were holding on to something.

Frodo: What are we holding onto, Sam?

Sam: That there's some good in this world, Mr. Frodo... and it's worth fighting for."

Long live Epoch Games. I will follow it avidly and can't wait to see it.

First off, I'd advise reading my post because I gave three ideas.

Make a YouTube video (like mine or RecoveryAnonymous' for example) detailing why you'd like MERP to happen or just shedding light on the subject.

Discuss MERP on various forums. For example, RecoveryAnonymous has MERP update threads on the Hobbit Movie forum and the Angry Joe Show forum. I've even gone on my MMA forums and discussed MERP (even got a few signatures out of them).

Just refer it to friends who are interested in Skyrim and/or Lord of the Rings. Pretty simple.

It's really not hard at all. If you guys want MERP to happen, actually do something.

Seriously, why hasn't anyone made these? Or at least taken initiative and tried another way? Everyone says they want MERP to survive and the C&D to be lifted. Well then DO SOMETHING. You're going to have to do a little more then sign the petition and send a letter. If you really want MERP to happen, then start doing things to help. Don't just sit around trashing Warner Bros. YouTube videos, forum threads, or just referring MERP to a friend are things you can do.

C'mon people, time to start taking action. I'm sick of waiting around and nothing happening.

You're right when you say Warner Bros can't stop all LOTR mods. I agree with you there. However, they can stop the ones that really matter, such as MERP. The fans need to take their attention away from ways to illegally release it and pay more attention to what the MERP team think is best. It's their mod, let them decide what action is going to be taken.
