Since when did you need episode 1 to run the mod?

Amazing model, but his ears are way too small.

The models are way too blocky and the background image needs a serious overhaul. Of course this mod is still in its infancy, so those will probably be fixed after a certain amount of time.

since you guys are releasing it for halo 2 now, will the models and textures be redone, or will it just be a straight port from the original halo version?

well remember guys that valve went up to him and made him an offer to make gmod 10 commercial. It wasn't the other way round.

I drew a lot back when I was around 9. I was really good at drawing copies of TV show characters like vegeta from dragonball Z. I stopped though when I wasn't able to draw a certain picture of vegeta that well. I might pick it up again when I go into the planning stages of my mod late next year. I'm currently a modeler/animator in training and maybe if you could provide a tut or something that would be great!

hey man! sorry about the whole old thread thing, I hope all can be forgiven. I saw your art on deviantart and I must say it seems really good. When did you start doing sketches? Because if you started recently you can really improve by great lengths. I also saw you 3D renders and they look amazing. Especially the imperial cutless of searing!

Garry's mod isn't stand-alone just to tell you guys. Also any animosity I had towards garry and Gmod is now gone. No thanks to the people who were trying to flame me and didn't know what they were talking about, but to people of other forums most notably the headcrab union. The reason I hated Gmod 10 is because I thought garry just decided to make some money off of a mod that wasn't stand-alone and charged for it and later he went to valve to set up his game on their service. Through the HCU I found out it was the other way round and that it was valve that approached him. Now this I completely understand because I would have done the same thing. It helps get your foot in the door for getting into the gaming industry. Since I know what really went on I no longer have any sort of hate towards Garry's mod. I actually hope all goes well for him and his mod.

It's funny because none of you guys attempting to flame me can answer any one of my accusations I have made against gmod 10 please feel free to post again when you can actually make an answer instead of running around all of my statements. and madgernader the fact is, is that gmod 10 is a normal mod. it's not stand-alone. To even play gmod 10 you need to have CSS so the $10 price tag only applies to us who have HL2. Anyone else has to get the bundle valve is offering: Gmod 10 + CSS for 24.95. So he shouldn't even have chraged the game in the first place. This is the whole reason I'm complaining. If everyone is okay with Garry charging a premium price for a normal mod I guess it's okay all mods cost money?

lastly funny-popsicle how is what I said selfish. It's pretty damn fair considering the game is a NORMAL mod. Meaning (like I said before) you need HL2 to play it. That is how the price should have been in the first place.

Thecheese33, you hate people like me because all I'm saying is the truth? lol. And Mikeh I have no idea what you just said right there. I said that even though CS went to retail people who had HL1 could still play the game without paying. I'm saying that Garry's mod should do its payment option like CS. Free for people who own HL2, HL2: DM and CSS, while making people who don't have the game pay. It's what made the community in CS stay strong(along with the great gameplay of course) And right now Garry's crappy pricing model is what is splitting it in two.

As I said before did CS charge people who actually owned half-life for their game? No. Was it released to retail for other people to buy standalone? Yes. Garry is really trying to rip people off by charging people who already own HL2 for his mod. If CS, the most played and most likely the best online FPS allows players who already had HL1 to continue playing their mod without charging there is no reason for garry's mod to do different.

The fact here is, is that he's ripping us off. Plain and simple. I don't care if he made it one dollar. He's ssill making us pay for a mod that should be free. CS allowed people who still had the game to play for free. Unless this mod is head over heels better than CS(which it isn't) there is no way I'm paying for this mod and it's a complete rip-off

looks really interesting, but the graphics really have to be improved on. And why won't you make another version?

this mod is really in a sort of pre alpha stage. YOu basically have to access everything through the console. And at this stage this mod is truly amazing. with some more additions this mod could truly become something insane.

oh and phat please change the single player level design or at least make it easier! I mean the custom maps are hard, but the single is almost impossible to finish by yourself@

you need a source based game to play Gmod 10. Since CSS is made on the source engine and uses the same SDK as HL2 you can own CSS and be able to play Gmod 10.
