Is it possible to have something like a 'wreck model' for each capital ship? Once it explodes, it transforms into such a burning wreck until it finally explodes completely after 'x' minutes. After all they're 'Capital' ships. Would quite add a bit to the atmosphere :P

But I think that would be a bit too much work. All those new models and hitboxes xD I'm happy with how it is at the moment.

I thought having different sized players is impossible in the BF2 engine. This means you can either have deer sized playermodels OR human sized playemodels but not both at the same time... Am I wrong? And good luck with the animation of the deer lol :P

Now what would make those stations look 10 times better are good shadowing effects :) Since it's space, the light shouldn't be diffuse.

I loved it how they made the saving mechanism in a fairly old game called 'Outcast'. You took some sort of stone with you and if you wanted to save, you just activated the stone. You were encicled by an aura and it saved. This whole procedure took some time to finish.

I think, this was the best save mechanism I've ever seen in a game. It prevented you from saving during a fight and thereby kept the fights intense. It was always a pleasure to see the very beautiful particle effects during saving. Also, it was somehow put into the story.
Absolutely the best way to do it :)

Most older games just have more love put into them than most of the new ones :(

I thought about achievements for excellent performances during missions. For example accomplishing all secondary mission objectives. So more 'unique' achievements.
Medal of charity for ruescueing all villagers or whatever :D
