I'm a game programmer trying to get into the industry. I'm working on several projects at any given time. I play and review mods all the time because I love to see user made content.
I can't wait for the 7th, prepare to eat my disks of steel! I'm here to shoot disks and chew bubblegum, and I'm all outa gum.
Cool story bro, except that it's nothing like a silly flash game off the web. It's an actual game that runs on the Xbox 360 or PC and can be played with a friend. It's not some crappy makeshift project it's a full fledged project.
This does look ******* epic
You're almost there.
I'm gonna play this ****, it looks awesome.
I saw this hours ago, I was wondering when it would show up on ModDB!
It looks so ******* sexy.
It's for global banning on all servers for people that hack. Instead of banning them from one server and have them just change servers they are banned from all servers and it must be done by a PVK Admin which is my guess.
This probably isn't doable by each individual server admin so don't worry.
Uhg, I don't think I like those pirate balances. The key to pirates is the fact that they were so fast I especially don't like the fact that the lung ability was nerfed since it felt perfect. Especially since it took more skill to use for the most part since unlike all other specials you had to stand in place and lunge in a straight line. Most newbs failed at it.
Oh well, I'll get used to it. It's just making it easier for newbies. :O
I vote #2! It definitely matches the game feel and it looks the best in my opinion.
Looking forward to playing The Haunted as well as some Empires. Empires brings back good memories.
I'm a programmer but I don't really utilize home row and I can easily type 120 WPM with a decent keyboard. I'm just too lazy to utilize home row.
I love the overall style, good job.
Neat, I've been playing a lot of Starcraft since the announcement of the beta so I may give this a shot if I find myself taking a break from competitive matches.
I'll see you all tonight, dead of course.
You've done an amazing job, I look forward to purchasing your retail version.
Congratulations and I hope we'll be seeing this come to steam and other outlets int he future.
Because good sir, I am poor. Buy me another computer to run it on. ;) I do plan to do this when were ready to start hosting for real but at the moment I can't afford the investment.
Ilol'd at Kingdoms Collide banner. I'm looking forward to the Golden Eye Source update.
"They call me Reference, Null Reference."
I support this, I'll probably pick it up. It'll just be strange keeping track of games that aren't on steam.
Neato. I'm loving the latest release. It's also fun being at the top of the score board every game because there's so many new comers. I've been playing the Gestir only when I play Vikings and he's almost over powered. The only problem is pirates using pistols rape you. =\ Keep on keeping on!
It's just as awesome as the mod.
I built my own of course, and have my own. Let's turn this into a bragging post. Post reply with epic specs go!
Mine: 2.93Ghz Intel Core i7 | Nvidia GTX280 OC | 6GB DDR 1.6 Ghz
This is pretty short notice, but epic none-the-less. I'm pretty excited.
Looks well polished, nice parallax backgrounds.
Looks good, man. Also the profile now looks good at higher resolutions. The top just doesn't match as well with the red. ;)
Also, rofl at the little kids who down voted my comments because I criticized the aesthetics. I'll remember next time not to criticize. You sure taught me!
I'll be playing it as soon as I get home from work.
Oh god, I just read insomniac's article on frame rate. Are they serious? What a ******* ****** company that they would lower their standards because main stream reviews don't talk about frame rates. That's not because people don't care about them but because console gamer's have lower expectations and accept it which was actually explained in the article! I lost all respect for insomniac as a development studio.
The whole "Better frame rates don't sell but graphics do" argument is so ridiculous it makes me naucious because their analysis is totally off. They are however dealing with console gamers and console gamers are inherently stupid so they won't know the difference I guess.
Great article, and I don't see how anyone could disagree with you. I personally believe there's no reason ever to strive for lower standards. People that push for lower standards are just lowering expectations and poisoning the market. They themselves are the venom that is slowly killing quality in the industry.
Mr Kadish, I believe the article was arguing his point independent of developer inadequacy.
I absolutely will be doing those things. Right now the servers are down because I'm working on a huge feature which will be featured in PokeCast 3 so the servers are down for rapid testing and development.
