Last I checked you can install the mod the same way on the Origin client; make a Red Alert 3 folder in your "My Documents" folder,make a "Mods" folder in "Red Alert 3" and then put the paradox files there. You'll then have to run from the command center which is the catch on Origin, if you have Windows Vista or Windows 7 you can right click on RA3 in the generic "Games" menu, but past that I don't know where to find it.

It's not too hard to install the newer versions manually without Desura. I'd recommend it as the mod seems to work on a different frequency than Desura. There are tons of comments on forums of how to help if you need it, worst case you can comment here or PM me if you have trouble.

Make a new profile, that should fix it.

Paradox will only work on the most recent patch. If you are alerted you can patch the game, you will need to do that before playing Paradox.

The minor factions will be playable once you capture their base building, but none of them are released yet. The ARNV and the Vietcong will be coming out with the Apocalypse minimod that is currently waiting on voices. I'm not sure when that will be out but there you have it.

I think the Certaman will use a gauss weapon akin to a megabuster for megaman, I think this was in the article somewhere.

That's unfortunate, I really enjoy playing though I have problems with bugs every once in a while. By the way is there some trick to making multiplayer work or am I just SOL?

yeah, one faction is done (relatively) but the rest are in development.

Ok so there is a file called the skirmish.ini file that basically ruins skirmish because Paradox has four factions but it can be fixed. All you have to do is make a new profile for paradox and you'll be set to go. I guess you could also delete the file but that's a little more difficult.

There is a file called skirmish.ini that screws things up (based on Red Alert having issues with four factions). Just make a new profile for Paradox and you should be good.

Some people have had issues with steam, but we had varying levels of success. I don't have it on steam (I find steam very frustrating) so I can't really help, but I have heard some people figured it out.

The full game may be quite interesting as it will be very easy to tell what was a paradox addition and what was an original. This quality will stick out like a sore thumb among other allied structures.

In the full release, Paradox will edit the existing factions, and it has edited them already with the Allies in particular. The mod is currently incomplete so further editing is planned, it just hasn't been done yet.

As far as I know, Advanced Aeronautics got the axe and is no longer in game. It did not fit with the new protocol system.

At this point you should open the Red Alert 3 Control Center, this is done when the CD auto-runs. You can also access the "Games" menu and right click on Red Alert 3 on a newer operating system. I personally right clicked on the shortcut clicked on properties and added a " -ui" to the end of the target. When you get to the Red Alert 3 control center, you should go to Game Browser. Then from Game Browser there should be a tab with "Mods". Under that tab you should see Paradox. Click on that and hit launch. You should be able to tell if it worked pretty quickly.

Ok so I'm having trouble understanding exactly what is happening currently. To do this you don't want any special programs running, you are just moving files around. If you are using Desura than it should put the file in the correct place, but you still want to play by using the game browser. Otherwise you will be able to play when you can put "Paradox" (keep all Paradox stuff in a folder) in "Mods", and put "Mods" in "Red Alert 3".

Hmm, it is very strange that you are not able to access your documents. If you have Windows 7 or Vista you can try opening documents by clicking on the windows icon and it would be on the right side. Otherwise you may want to try accessing my computer and going to your documents from there. If it gives you a notification letting you know why you can't access your documents, please post it. As a further notice, the only files you should be moving are paradox files everything else should stay where it is.

Ok, try exiting out of your window and opening explore. This can be done by right clicking on the start/windows icon. Then see if you can access documents. Once you get to that point see if you can find Red Alert 3.

What folder are you in currently?

Under your Documents (or My Documents) there should be a Red Alert 3 folder. If it is not there than you can make one and it should work. In Red Alert 3 there should be a "Replays" folder, but to play a mod you have to make a new folder called "Mods". Put Paradox in this folder ("Mods"). I don't know why EA made it this way, but that's how it is.

First of all, no one is payed to do this and there are not people on all the time who can answer your questions. Now on to your problem, you stated that you put paradox in the program files? You should have a Red Alert 3 folder in your documents, not your program files. Then under Red Alert 3 you should make a mods folder, and put paradox in that. If you do not have a Red Alert 3 folder in your documents, make one. If you don't have a mods folder in Red Alert 3 in your documents, make one.

Usually you will have to go to the C&C RA3 control center, which can be accessed from a number of places (I just added a " -ui" to the shortcut under properties). The RA3 control center will look like the autorun with play in the top left box and game browser in the top right box. Click on the game browser, and look for a tab that says "Mods". The tab should be just above a large white box with any replays you have saved. Click on "Mods" and if paradox is properly installed it should appear in the white box previously mentioned. It will be named something along the lines of Paradox and the version will be 0.9.2

The easiest way is just to make a new profile just for playing paradox. You can also search your Red Alert 3 game files and delete the skirmish.ini file in the file named after your profile.

I don't believe any supposed deity decided to make us so we can make mistakes. Even if God was omnipotent, does that mean he wouldn't try for the best. I know I am going to die someday, does that mean I should just commit suicide and stop living? Just a thought that even when we as people know the outcome of something is going to be unpleasant we still try to make what we consider the best decision. Lots of things suck in this world, but there are times when everyone feels good about something.

Another idea for everyone to think over is this: say you have a favorite color, do you just want everything to be that color? I personally like blue, but I don't want everything to be blue. There would be no depth perception, or even real sight everything would just be a plain blue. If everything was good all the time, than we wouldn't be able to tell the difference. Perhaps people being imperfect is so we can tell what is good and what is not by finding it out ourselves instead of someone just telling us.
