Wow... You guys have really done it with this mod.

The combination of the realistic environments and the gut-sinking background music make for an experience that slowly gnaws on you. It's very well-done. It's scary not just because of things jumping out of the dark, but the whole environment makes you feel unwelcome, uncomfortable. It truly captures the feeling of being awfully, painfully alone. This game somehow manages to be immersive past any other game that I have played.

And there is the GoldSrc engine thing where model props suddenly appear fullbright from a certain angle, but it actually fits here—it's like walking around in the dark, and something normal suddenly catches your eye for no reason, becoming urgent...

Going through the game, no matter how heavily armed Simon becomes, it always feels like you are intruding on something, you are somewhere you should not have gone, and your next step can be the one that does you in.

This thing looks like it could really blow someone away; it reminds me of how in WWII, soldiers would wrap metal wire around the wooden furniture of their rifles when using them to launch grenades, because the force of the grenade's propellant could cause the stock to crack apart

I think a big part of why it's so noticeable is because the clouds are moving so fast. If they were set to move at a more normal pace, I'm sure it would look fine.

besides, having internal magazine shotguns in games tends to be a balance thing, there are plenty of external magazine shotguns that would be faster to reload but they don't show up in games as much

I'd say their groins are too low, by a little bit less than one head length (their entire bodies in proportion to the heads are about right, but the legs should be about 1/2 of the body, or maybe a little bit less)
