You know, I kind of agree with that. I mean, think about it. These guys are called the nomads for a reason, why not take advantage of the name? I think that would be pretty damn scary though. Seriously, what if you saw someone's entire navy just up and fly out of the water?
Now that I think on it, it would be pretty neat if the unit production facilities could transform into a mobile format, which while granted would make this race overpowered for base changing scenarios, but would still be awesome.
i have an idea, why not make a unit called "miner" that can "build/uncover" rocksto mine, but it takes a while, and requires energy? just a thought
this engine is quite interesting, but the real drawbacks come in the fact that resources are quite limited, being that gold,stone,and trees all run out, although that said, it is still quite an excelent game and engine, though im only speaking of the game glest, but i have to test some modifications to the game, i will tell you the state and personaly ratings of the modifications later

so then... is it concievable that you could show the view from say...a spaceship, and then enter the planets atmosphere, to compare it, to see the effects of evening reletive to the planets location and rotation from the sun?

i concur, as this is supposed to be a planetary engine, why dont the post a video of them being in a starship and transitioning from that to the atmosphere, so you could appreciate how the effects simulated involve the rotation of the planet reletive to the sun and how thick of an atmosphere the planet has. but still, we have yet to see if there are any effects of being in space while flying a cessna...so for all we know in this development stage a cessna could be used as a starship...
well, i find that this has striking similarity to a flight simulator, what with all the gauges and all, also, this looks impressive, it looks almost like a cutscene...but your playing...thats just how impressive this engine is.
so is it a cosmetic effect or is the blade actuallly spinning fast enough to blur, in realtime?

if you ever need of-the-wall ideas, you know who to ask, also, whatabout a possibility of an armour system where you could say morph a building that your only aloud one of (morphed or otherwise) and you get 1 tech from morphing it, like say unlocking a super mega unit that is uber, but super slow, and you only get 1 or something like that, also when your done this, and if you get a litte more experiance in scripting (no offence intended) perhaps you could design your own engine for this? or perhaps at the very least a map, or something special about this leading to something important (something like planetwars perhaps?) where there are say, there are X official maps, and on a server somebody records all the battles, and one battle per map, and the faction winner gets that map, and on a planet viewer screen it shows territory relitive to the maps won and lost by either faction. also what about a third faction that has say, 8 units (not including buildings) and the units are generizing but not good at the things that they do, but are all capable of cloaking, stealthing, and say, attaching a fiberobtic cord to an enemies radar buildings, so you can control their radar, look at it from your screen, and even send them ghost units, that until their real units take a look, or come into visual contanct with a real building, which makes them disapear. or say sapping the enemies economy buildings so that they get a small ammount of that export that the building makes, or taking control of a vital turret, just before an attack, or stuff like that. technologically advanced special op pirates basically.

i see what you mean, although i suppose its psychologically speaking, worse if you have the vanilla mount and blade since most people have version 1.011 and its annoying to see someone with a good looking mod for a different version, as its similar to almost beating a game, then falling a foot short when you are supposed to jump a mile or something like that.
to install mods first you unzip it into your main user directory (usually default) then you right click on the mount and blade desktop icon, press open file location, then you resize both windows to fit side by side, then just drag the zipped file of the mod into modules
i think the reason this is only v.0903 is because either some features were removed from that version of mount and blade, or the development of the mod has ceased

as much as we would like to believe that this engine is great, what if the devs are using some future computer that is currently only available to either the military and people with a really large pocket book?
well, i mean, anyway, could this game support a form of crafting system similar to say, minecraft or stranded 2? we have already seen the graphics and theyre amazing, i swear all the future games will use this engine until a new version of it is out with entire galaxies, imagine, a game i like say....spore, with full sized planets!

so....maybe later on...when your bored... done this for the most part...and want to do something more? or will you just make a game for this engine, stop working on anything online whatsoever, or what? it would be nice to know those details...
in case you didnt notice, there are 3 types of people who play games, those who buy it fairly, those who dont buy because they are greedy or frugal, or the small percentage that dont have access to a means of getting games due to financial issues or parents. be a little more open minded to that smallest percentage
hm, well i just hope that with all this progress they remembered to add a cecent physics engine, we will have wonderful detailed planets but we will be flying in outerspace (hopefull) dead. after all who wants to float in space with no gravity and still have to be alive?

ah, nevermind, anyway, i meant a second realease when you are finished conflict terra, where you could make a joke version where, say the weak spam units are actually super powerful juggernauts, or stuff with just funny names ect.
do you have as of yet any units that are capable of morphing into bases?i mean other than the supply things, like a unit that morphs into a laser defence turret, etc.
which faction will have more spammy units and which faction will have more tankish type units? and will the game be designed for each faction to be pitted against eachother or will the nkg have say a unit that could counter one of its own?
just how many contructors are there for each faction, planned or otherwise? it would really suck if there was just 1 type of contrusctor for each factory. im thinking of farks for example, fast assist and repair kbots, im thinking assistant repair units like that, or would they be considered obsolete in this game? will there be any super tank type units ( *coughs* experimental biomechs *coughs* ) that can dish out and take massive ammounts of damage and are huge? or will there be none like that? will there be and underground/ burrowing units? also, will there be any units designed to go against the player (hard to see camoflauge units that the computer easily spots but the player doesnt?)? and uh, what excactly are the odds of a linkable shield mech, like in complete anihilation? just a few questions, and suggestions to increase the workload
as in, the source engine has an automatic server hosting system, i guess thats kind of what i meant to do with servers, will modders have to hook up servers on their own or what is the deal with that?
agreed, maybe when you're done this engine, you could work on those vehicle physics eh? anyways, every game in the future when this engine is done will use the engine, i swear, they really will
what if you sold the liscence for a game to use the engine, so if they didnt have the liscence, you sued them, but if they had one, they would probobly spend say, a quarter of what you would sue the for, to "reccomend" that they buy the liscnece, but people who just want the engine to play the games, could get it for free?

so is the day/night cycle actually based on the planets location and rotation reletive to the star its orbitting? or are you just simulating the effect?
