Well, chaps, it seems as if my foray into the world of Indie games has led me here! As an avid Indie game player and supporter, I feel it is only appropriate that I take up your valuable time and space to write these words sequentially in a manner that should inform everybody who reads this (all two of them) what I think of the games I play.
My first entry into the world if independant games reviews is the Alpha build of Project Zomboid. I have been lamenting the fact that my games shelf (yes, a physical one with boxes on it) has been missing a zombie horror survival game and in my search to rectify this atrocity, I shambled upon PZ one lonely Summer night. To make a long story short, I purchased an Alpha copy of the game and have not put it down since.
My initial play through Project Zomboid was both confusing and bug-ridden. With this being a very early build, I was both optimistic and apprehensive that the devs would really get down to work and smooth out the kinks. As the months rolled by, the dev team improved upon the build and continues to do so to this day. As I await the next update (which includes saving, a new lighting system, and new AI mechanics), I can assuredly say that although the game is far from complete, it looks as if it will turn into a fantastic and unique horror survival game.
