I test it with Project Brutality 3.0. Looks super awesome. There are some rough edges though. Like when I try to crouch in the water the screen shakes. IDK if that's a conflict with PB, but grenades with this mods combination are totally useless. In the second level - I heard like hundreds of imps I haven't found on the map. When I finished the level I got 2% kills ;) Have I missed something, or there is "reserve imps room" inaccessible in the game? Anyway, this mod is totally awesome even unfinished, very playable. People say it's too dark - I don't have that impression, maybe it's a matter of GZDoom / Reshade settings. I'm totally testing it with Brutal Doom Platinum, at least grenades should work properly.

I wonder how to launch it. I downloaded the PK3, tried to run Doom with DoomRunner, using Ultimate Doom IWAD, Doom2 IWAD, nothing works, the PK3 file seems to not do anything except changing the game music.

IDK what to think yet. I played for like 30 minutes or so, but I have mixed feeling about this game. First of all - I remember original Wolf 3D, I'm that old I completed them all on original, unplayable (now) key bindings ;) Then I'm a huge fan of Brutal Wolfenstein mod. And that's where the game disappoints. Shooting and weapons. Another useless pistol? Well... Playing some more I found it's not that useless, however do not even try to aim for headshot. That game either doesn't have something like headshots, or the calculation for hits is severely broken. It just didn't work for me. I was super disappointed when I first shot some enemies point blank to the head and it didn't kill them.

Second huge problem are iron sights. They are present, but they don't work. I was totally frustrating not being able to score even one hit. Then I changed default crosshair (equal to "none") and suddenly the weapons started to work. More or less.

Then - shooting when crouching often gives "no hit". Line of sight is not equal to line of shot. Invisible barriers block the shots pretty often.

I'm puzzled. Someone put insane amount of work in level design which is very good. It's like Brutal Wolfenstein on steroids, or as it would look if the author haven't ditched the project. The level design is the hardest part of any game and mod. It's always like 99% of the work. That's why new maps and gameplay mods are very rare, and other kinds of mods are common. IDK how it's done in Brutal, but weapons work way better.

I miss secondary fire option. Like zoom, aimed shot etc.

One more thing. Have you played Doom 2016? What is the proper FPS start? SHOOTING! Let the player TEST AND SEE the actual game, credits, intros and other stuff can appear later. It's extremely frustrating when it takes too much time to get to the actual game.

I see the game has potential and can be pretty challenging. Yet - it's a little too frustrating to fight with invisible obstacles blocking shots than with actual nazis. Oh, and I definitely miss aimed shots, did I mention it? See Brutal Wolfenstein. It's not scope. Just iron sights and a little, tiny amount of zoom.

To people saying this mod is unfairly difficult: I partially agree. First - the mod is extremely tough and I love it. But there is one thing that just infuriate me: grenades. When do you use grenades? Usually in a small rooms with many enemies. MANY ENEMIES. Well, not in this mod. Many enemies - grenade is 95% likely to bounce of enemy's leg and get back to you. Using grenades in this mod is pure lottery. Either room cleared, or you dead.

I installed latest version, plus hi-res texture pack, using latest GZDoom, but I have broken textures, like big and blocky ones, like upper left corners of the textures for doors. What am I doing wrong?

OOPS, I used IWAD from Doom 1. I switched to Doom 2 and it works like charm. AWESOME MOD! And it's pretty hard even on "bring'em on". Well... It's brutal! ;)

Unfortunately unplayable for me due to graphics glitches.
First: all resolutions except full (in my case 4K) don't work as full screen, they all create a little normal or borderless window. The game itself cannot make itself fullscreen, unless I chose the same resolution Windows uses.
Then: from 60FPS the screen starts to flicker randomly. Sometimes it just turn black, sometimes it shows random glitchy mix of textures.
Sometimes I can play whole level with 60FPS with everything OK.
Everything else about the game seems to work. The sound is identical with GOG DosBox version. Game mechanics seems the same.

I'm so angry, because this cool port ALMOST works, but... it's totally unplayable due to the glitch. BTW, limiting to 30FPS partially fixes the problem, so the visual glitches are less interfering, but it's hard to aim with such low FPS.

I've just discovered "Realistic" skill in BD 20c and my dream came true. I played on Doom 2 iwad, from Doom 3 BFG.

It's cool BD is fast, loud and graphic. But the new mode is just the best. You can actually play tactical and defensive. Can you defeat 3 zombies armed with guns just with a chainsaw? If you can do it in less than 2 seconds, probably. But it's next to impossible. Zombies you barely see can take you out with shotguns. Good thing's the player can do the same. Health means almost nothing on Realistic. Armor 200 grants you live through 1 mistake. Can't find all the secrets? The game will be very tough.

"Doom metal" setting seems easy now. Now I have to play Doom AGAIN.

That's the way to go for FPS games: 1 shot, at least one kill ;) In Doom 1 and 2 most enemies wasn't bullet sponges, but the player was. Not anymore. Shoot first or die.

I love using 2 machine guns at once against imps. As messy as efficient. 2 imps, 1 chainsaw? Nope. Imps kill on contact on Realistic, and are a little bit faster.

If anyone misses this super cool mod because crazy, unfair and frustrating game balance, here's the solution making it THE BEST:

Find mod directory, then def directory. Find weapon configuration scripts. They are named similarly to weapon names. Open with any text editor, look for "damage" word. Find the number nearby. Multiply times 3, for chaingun x4. Remember to do it for EVERY weapon, or the game balance would suck.

Play on Veteran skill. The game will still be very hard. Stand still for a second and you're dead. But this time YOU ARE ARMED.

Bullet-sponge enemies were totally lame idea. I know, there's too much ammo in the game, but making all enemies bulletproof is idiotic. It defeats all the fun. With the weapon efficiency multiplied by 3 it's fair.

It's important to give the chaingun more punch because it was WAY TOO WEAK. You can experiment with 2x/3x for more challenge, but come on, bullets kill ;)

Well, the difficulty of this mod is way to high in ROE. I play on Marine setting and I have to save every minute - I die so often. Is it really a matter of skill when the enemies are teleported right behind you and kill you in 2 seconds? And it's only one kind of enemy which does it: the one similar to imp but shooting cyan projectiles. I understand I have to use the artifact to slow the time when they attack from multiple points, but I can do it only after loading a saved game after dying. IMO it's a bad balance. Also chaingun and machine guns are way too weak. The only thing good about the game balance is stronger shotgun, however I don't see double barreled being significantly better than the regular one. Maybe if it was possible to fire both barrels at once.

Nevermind. I changed antialiasing option to one mentioned in readme file. My fault. Works as charm. BTW, slow rendering was caused by invalid generated files. They were generated with older, incompatible version of NVidia drivers. After installing latest NVidia drivers I had to clear all generated files with cmd file. Now the mod runs smoothly without any issues, the graphics looks beautiful (ugliness was caused totally by the old NVidia driver and lack of any anti-aliasing). The games crashes roughly once an hour but it could be my PC, original Doom 3 used to crash from time to time too.

I have a problem with no anti-aliasing on NVidia GTX 960. Games looks really ugly and runs slower, why is that, what am I doing wrong? BTW, my driver version is 384.76.

No, not that one. The one for 0 RUB ;) "Sold" by Sid and Barkeep. I thought they were useless, but I "bought" one and now suddenly I can run all the way even without sparklers. Maybe it just subtracts ammo weight from total weight allowed, that would make sense.

I hardly ever sell any vests because they are mostly too damaged to be sold. It also makes sense, because to kill the guy in a vest you most likely must seriously damage his vest.

I once had an exo repaired (from like 50% of damage). It costed more than a new one ;) Now I'm happy with Ecologist suit, as long as you don't wrestle mutants or play Rambo with enemies it's pretty decent protection for the price.

Bandit exos are cool if you don't intend to run in them ;)

ad 4. I noticed mono guy raising shortly after being shot. I was sure I must have only wounded him. Can they just become zombies?

ad 2. Barkeep sells 16ga ammo and Winchester 1200 can be bought at Sid's. I haven't tested it yet though.

ad 6. Sparklers allow me to sprint the entire map ;) I guess they can be found near electro anomalies.

This and tactical vest. I was wondering what purpose does it have beside "ammo counter". I noticed I can run indefinitely carrying maximal weight. Without it I could run as long only carrying under 90kg.

About radioactive cars: I noticed lately all cars suddenly started to be radioactive. Is it patch 4.7, because I started the game without the patch, then installed the patch?

Is there a way to make cars not (less) radioactive, or to protect player from the radiation there?

It seems like cars radioactivity bypasses my current outfit resistance and artifact modifiers. I have radiation resistance above 50%, which allows me travel most radioactive areas in game (except radiation anomalies) without sucking radiation. I even bought this green artifact from Yantar scientists for 45k for additional +15% protection. Also Ecologist green suit.

However all cars became useless. I'm sucking radiation fast whenever I get in to any car I previously drove without problems.

There is a issue here, because the efficient ammo against mutants is 12ga shot. Sold only by Adrenaline in Agroprom, also by other traders in exchange for dog tails (trader in the Garbage) and quite rare artifacts in Bar and at Sid's. Anyway - you got mutant abundance past Wild Territory. So it's a rather long walk to Adrenaline for anti-mutant ammo, but it's a cool drive. The radiation in cars breaks it. A sane stalker wouldn't suck radiation if it's not necessary. BTW, the trips are frequent. A pack of tuskanos and snorks, a couple of chimeras, and I used my shotgun ammo, and going deeper into the zone without it is insane. One "special expert chimera" can consume all my shotgun ammo, since those are real bullet sponges. Since Monolith appears you can't waste rifle ammo for mutants because it's inefficient and VAL ammo is the most effective against armored human combatants.

BTW, is it a special use for "Francis" gun? I tested it against mutants and it seemed to be far less effective than Protecta or Saiga. I also expected it to be a unique weapon, but I got 2 of them. I sold one for a good price. The rest of the unique guns I just collect. Most rifles seem to have weaker stats than my AN92 or Protecta. For fighting any humans I found the VAL is far the best. The only downside is ammo being a little hard to get. However one AP bullet is enough to put down a Monolith soldier. This seems to make the game balance not optimal. I mean having a VAL means you have the best gun in the game, no need to be excited about all other guns. The guns with high ROF maybe are good to take down this one expert guy, but consume far too much ammo to be used daily.

Again - AP bullets seem to be too superior than FMJ. 5.45FMJ is next to useless against soldiers (even bandits). I can empty a magazine and still fail to take down my target. AP does the job. You can beat entire game using AN92 or even AK74. Makes other guns less desirable. G36 was my favorite for all Stalker games, here it's still a very good AR, but not as much superior than AN92. And the modern Russian assault rifles: they are far more expensive, but they all have weaker stats than the older ones. Is it realistic? Is AN92 or AK74 really that good? Considering Adrenaline sells the ammo for it dirt cheap it makes it the most fit gun for the whole game. But then - why better / unique guns? I can surely sell them, but then again, what to do with the money? Buy more special artifacts? I thought stalkers would rather sell them.

BTW, I'd be happy if there was a little more bandits and mercenaries respawns (but having a little more ammo on them). Once they are eliminated the areas seem dead, only mutants there. Or maybe I should sleep more to see more respawns? From the other hand - soldiers right before Adrenaline shop are super annoying. Why do they keep appearing there? And it's always just ONE guy in exactly the same place. This looks like a bug to me.

Is it possible to make loners faction friendly instead of neutral? You can join Duty or Freedom (making new enemies), but you obviously can't join loners. You ARE a loner if you don't join Duty or Freedom. In other Stalker games some groups of loners became friendly (marked green) if an important quest was made for a local leader. It seems to be no leaders here. Friendly status could be useful to get better barter prices.

I'm sorry for the "wall of text" but I addressed all issues from 2 weeks of gaming marathon.

OK, there's one last issue with the military: X-18. When getting back from there there is a squad sent to kill the player. The confrontation seems unavoidable. There's BTR outside, there are troopers all the way to the gate. Does it affect later military faction status? Or is it a way to avoid this battle? I think it's no way to exit X-18 without being noticed. I found the only way not to get killed there is to shoot first.

BTW, taking this course would make getting 5.45x39 ammo way harder ;) Oh, and the beginning of Mole situation - there are stalkers massacred by the military at Agroprom. I think it's obvious the player should help the loners. It's the only way to make this area controlled by loners and for the Adrenaline to appear there. Or isn't it?

Is there a way to fix my relations with the military? I was attacked in Agroprom, I killed every soldier there, then in Cordon there is no way to approach Kuznetzov at the bridge. They also attacked the bandit base. They are patrolling whole area like crazy. If I shoot any of them, the military helicopter appears and attacks. Then they attack the rookie village. And about this: is there any way to prevent it?

Kuznetzov is unkillable. This seems like a bug, either there should be a way to make him non-hostile or just kill him.

BTW, I've done the mission of stealing the documents from the base, but I went stealth, no shots fired, no alarm triggered. THEN I got the mission from Kuznetzov to deliver 20 bottles of vodka to Agroprom base, but at the base they opened fire to me, so I cleared them. Now I have problem at the Cordon.

I have a question about X18 - how to prepare for it? There are super-tough monsters there. It's no biggie to kill them if I only had unlimited ammo. I have AK-74M, 200 rounds with me, 80 rounds of 9x18 for MP. Not much, those bastards take 2 magazines or 2 grenades for one. No chance. Is there any weapon particularly effective against monsters from X-18 and how to get that loads of ammo? I tried traders, they hardly sell ammo and if they do, mostly incompatible with the guns I currently have. BTW, after clearing the laboratory I expect army to come, with BTR or something, I will need all 5.45 ammo for them. And of course some grenades for the BTR. Army is a good enemy because they usually have plenty of ammo with them. But the monsters? I don't see a way to clear the X18 lab without some cheating. What's the proper way of doing this?

Oh come on, I did as you advised, I even got this map with a path to Strelok hideout marked. I followed the path. Went to teleporter. Got to the tunnel where the right teleporter should be, but no joy. Nothing there except electro anomaly. I ran those path both ways a couple of time, but something is wrong, the teleporter doesn't show up. BTW, the controller is dead, Spetznaz outside eliminated, Mole is alive and waiting at the entrance to Agroprom underground. How to trigger the teleport? Is it timed quest, so if I run fast enough after being teleported I could actually make it to the second teleporter before it disappears?

## OK, I got it from the video. I had to visit each furthest point again, then it was triggered. ##

Thanks, I'll try it again a couple of times. BTW, thanks for the good balancing of the mod. Now it's perfect for me. Hard enough, yet fair and very playable. I can still use 8x18 ammo in Agroprom and survive most of the encounters. I love using pistols, now I can and it's fun.

Well, I'm in Agroprom underground, and there's that teleport. I remember it was a huge problem. So... It teleports me to the staircase. Oh, I know where is the other teleport that teleports to Sterlok's stash. WRONG! It's not there. I mean near the entrance. BTW, I got no messages like "NOT THERE" and "YOU CAN FIND IT". I've seen them on some videos. Is it a bug in the mod, or is there something else?

Hi. I played previous version on my old PC with Radeon HD5970 with hardly any problems. Wonderful game, and I really loved the huge (well empty) maps. After some tweaking with cars fuel consumption cars were great fun too.

But I've replaced my old PC with new ASUS ROG laptop with GTX760M. I know, it's not exactly a gaming daemon, however it's NOT SLOWER IN C.O.P. benchmark! It's even faster. But Lost Alpha? It's completely unplayable on my laptop.

I don't get 60FPS even on minimum details settings. Not to mention the game looks like **** on such settings. With medium to max - I get 12FPS. BTW, game settings have very small impact on FPS. With or without HDAO - almast the same. DX10 didn't work at all with HD5970. It works with GTX760M. But at 12FPS. So I switched to DX9. And got whopping 12FPS. So I'm heartbroken. And how it's possible the same chip can produce 60FPS in C.O.P. with DX11 (Ultra) settings?

Is it no-no? Or something could be done to make it playable on mobile graphics chips?

Please help. I've downloaded this mod, installed it with FOMM, and... nothing. When I select "New game" all I get is old Fallout New Vegas, not even a trace of this mod.

So I've installed Nexus Mod Manager, uninstalled PB, re-downloaded the mod from Nexus, reinstalled, still - NOTHING.

What am I doing wrong? All files are extracted in game data folder.
ProjectBrazil.esm is checked on data tab. Archive invalidation is on.

I've played a lots of FNV mods and they all worked, no matter if I just extracted the files, or installed them. This one just doesn't seem to work. Any clues?

1. Game crashes way too often. Really. (I mean compared to vanilla.)

2. Radios plays nice tracks, but there are too few tracks. It gets very annoying over time. Then there is a bug with the radios in bars. They play their usually 2 (or 3) tracks at once. It's almost unbearable to hear. It would be better if they could be just turned off.

3. Chimeras are way too weak. They should do serious damage on successful attack, but they don't. I can't imagine how could they kill an experienced hunter.

4. Quicksave and quickload cannot be assigned to keyboard shortcuts for long. The shortcuts are removed each times a save is loaded.

5. The special Predator shotgun could look a little different. And it could do a little more damage. It should kill mutants fast and painless. It doesn't. It's that efficient against boars and flashes, but bloodsuckers, snorks and dogs need several rounds to fall.

6. What about mutant parts? Are they valuable? Could you sell them? I've tried to sell some of them to the scientists, they refused to buy. And the bartenders offered ridiculous money for them. You can eat them, if you like radiation poisoning, but the normal food is so cheap I don't see the point in collecting the mutant parts.

7. Waiting for the each weapon upgrade seems not the best idea. It would be better if you could order all available upgrades and then wait. Or - this feature (waiting for the mechanic) should be optional and possible to be disabled.

How far are we in cash from releasing the game? I think it's time for some serious donations, but I'm not convinced to do it unless I see how it works - let's say we're 0,5M $ from our goal. Let's donate and see the counter go. Please, take kindly our money and please release :)

I don't want any gifts or credits, I want the project to receive the glory it deserves before it's too late. And it WILL be too late in 2016. Of course I'll buy it, but it will be like playing Doom now. (I play Brutal Doom from time to time.)

The amount make you laugh? So be it, name the price, and we'll try our best. But now - L.A. is a kind of Wish Granter...
