I'm NoX. I'm mapper on on Eternal Silence. If you want to join the project, send me a PM here or contact me through www.eternal-silence.net. Looking forward to hearing from you!
And thank YOU for awesome testing and website management!
You will, will still be around, mapping and participating. Just not managing :P
Decrease lighting just a little bit will also help the transition from walls to floor.
I prefer trailer 2, as well. But you should make the "introduction sequence" in the beginning lighter, as it's hard to see the characters. Great trailer, otherwise!
I had to double-check to make sure it said Quake engine. That's amazing! You should consider updating the stock sounds, though. The difference in quality is huge.
Congratulations! Will be watching for the release!
Not a whole lot of people, which is our main concern at the moment. We're working on helping new players ease into the learning curve, which should make it easier for new players to keep up with experienced players. We've got a lot more than that planned, too. We're expecting to be ready with a new patch in a few months.
This must be Neo Terra...
How do they handle?
That's impressive. How will it support other planets?
I like for the green, as well. It looks horrid(in a good way), and is a nice contrast to hell.
Also, those forges/melters are all tenso!
Sounds like a plan! Have fun, guys :)
All work and no play makes Jack a dull man.
Hacking our teammembers' accounts, are we? :)
I recall someone from the staff calling the game "pretty much done". I don't remember who it was, though, but that's what's been imprinted on me - quite traumatic :) I'll edit the blog, I don't want to put words into your mouth. Or however that saying goes in English.
This is what we're hoping to remedy ;)
Thanks, me too :) They're awesome to fly, so it's nice to finally have a setting where they fit in.
Awesome stuff :)
Steam updates your installation automatically :)
Classic319 You're talking about cockpits?
I don't think our player shortage is due to lack of eye candy. Our analysis puts the blame on the very steep learning curve, which our tutorial should smoothe out.
No, we're aware of the major issue of the steep learning curve, and are currently working on an in-game tutorial. We hope this will smooth the learning curve and reduce the number of frustrated quits.
In the mean time, I strongly recommend Skull Squads tutorial videos, in particular mr. Waffles' tutorial(http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LZGBplCdZWY)
Thanks for the votes, everybody! Much appreciated :)
Eternal Silence, yay!
Hahahahahaha! That dude is mad!! Can't wait to ruin everybodys realism experience by charging and screaming like a madman :P
Hey, peace be with the whole thing, it's still beneficial for both parties. My point was simply that the Orion team possibly could've gotten more out of the deal.
Your goal is, as you've stated yourself, to get ppl playing it. Making it fileplanet exclusive, however, is not helpful in reaching that goal.
It's all negligible, though, as it's only for a week.
Money is probably involved. If Orion is not getting paid for this, they've been cheated.
If this works as intended, Fileplanet will cash in a great deal of revenue from sponsors etc. due to the increased traffic. If all they've offered the Orion team in return is to host their mod (unlikely), then Fileplanet is going to laugh all the way down to the bank.
Looks cool :D But imagine if you could put it on a zombie: "Braaaains... Braaaai... huh?" *SWOOSH*
Hey, nice with some friendly comments :) BlueDrake I've already replied to your application ^^
Rukus don't worry - the next update will feature a user-friendly tutorial, explaining all that stuff ^^
I don't think we'll be porting to any other engines soon. It requires a lot of manpower, that we don't currently have, and time that we'd rather be spending on improving the game.
Single player? We'll see what'll turn up :)
IMO they should just "port" to L4D. They'd get the AI effortless, saving months of frustrating coding. Their choice, though...
Haha shake that ***!
