We'll last longer than we will against that Death Star! And we might just take a few of them with us!

My favorite space battle of all Star Wars movies.

Same. Speaking of which:
1. Would it be possible for you to recreate it in another image?
2. If you use map editor with all the units in the Mod, would it be possible to make a Battle of Endor to the last detail?
3. With the balance you're New Hope Mod will have, who would win realistically?

1. Yeah sure, I may do it when I show it on the mod.
2. I´ll try.
3. A. Is Rise Of Hope.
B. This is going to take some time:

The SD will win in most common situations, because of the fact of having the double of weapons, but it wont go out totally unharmed. Mon Calamari ships will always have a pretty good shield, the MC80 has the most heavy ions cannons on a ship of its size and it carries 2 squadrons of X-Wings and Y-Wings and 1 of A-Wings besides 2 freighters (Still to be decided what model will use for it) which totally outgun TIE Fighters and all of them carry something to fight larger ships (X and Y-wings carry proton torpedoes and A-Wings carry missiles), but besides those obvious facts, it will ultimately depend on you and your situation.

So an MC80 alone wouldn´t be able to destroy a SD without some sort of reinforcement, but it will hold its ground and heavily damage the Star Destroyer, obviously... there are exceptions some times.

Gotcha. For #2, I was speaking hypothetically.

So with the mod's balance, if Death Squadron's 30+ Star Destroyers, plus the Executor, faced against the whole rebel fleet, who would win?

To be fair, Death Squadron was only the Executor and 5 Star Destroyers, but Vader could assign ships from other sectors to its fleet as he saw it fit so that´s what we saw at Endor.

That´s relative, as what we saw at Endor couldnt be all the ships the Alliance had. We know that at least 25.000 SDs were made for the Empire but we cant know how many ships the Alliance had actually. So I cant tell you exactly that but if you told me, the rebel fleet that participated at the Battle of Endor then well, for that ROTJ exists.

True. I read somehwere that the rebels had a fleet equal to about 7% of what the Imperials had, and were worth around 15 sector groups. Consider what we saw on Endor the majority, at least. For specifics, this what I'd say is most accurate: Tiger887.tripod.com

That´s really specific, saying that 20% of the entire Rebel fleet maybe have been destroyed on Endor is very unlikely at least for me. We would have to count all every detail in the film and ships that may have died offscreen. But well to be fair I can tell you that in my mod and in the SW universe, the Empire would win, the only motive I see of why the Empire losed on Endor was because of the low morale, the Death Star was destroyed, Vader and Palpatine were presumed (and they were) dead with the DS destruction, the Executor was also losed in the battle, etc.

Obviously in the mod, I wont put +30 SD, an Executor-class and the Death Star all together to wreck you in mere seconds.

Yeah, the rebels really got lucky. Even then, however, before the emperor's death, the rebel fleet was still holding its own and even got a few sd's down.

Indeed. What would you consider a perfect rebel fleet to take on a lone Star Destroyer? What about a good fleet of them? (5 ish)

And for the future space battles, could you add some GR75's and fighters in there? Feels more complete with them.

1. If you mean with what I have in my mod, I would use a fleet consisting of 3 or 4 MC80s, 5 or 6 Nebulon Bs to act as bait for them, 4 CR90s to act against the fighters and with all the fighters deployed from the MC80 I can deal with those SDs.

2. Yeah, I just wanted to show the ship there, I did it on the new article of the mod and GR-75 are not ingame yet, and I may have to change the one showed as it was to much resource eating for a ship of its size.
