just a little add on....
there is much debate over cs being a game or a mod. think of it this way, games; you have to pay for. mods; are usually 99.9% of the time free of charge. thus, cs1.5 and below are mods, but since 1.6 comes with a price tag, it is a game.

i remember when most of the 1.5 servers were chock full of yearning gamers. but then valve wanted everyone go to steam. so naturally with nearly everyone updating, the servers had **** all players if any, which lead to the shutdown of many 1.5 servers - i can still remember the disappointment...
btw, Counter-Strike steam is just another name for cs1.6, and is a game in itself and no longer a mod. 1.6 is basically the term meaning the next instalment of counterstrike, and counterstrike 1.0 for steam is kinda like saying a new instalment. so they've pretty much started a new game whilst at the same time carried cs onto a new level.

no offense or anything, but it kinda looks like a rip-off of medal of honor. i'll check it out. looks good anyway - i like my historic war games
