I'm Dave. I have a million hobbies, which include: Building my own motorcycle, in a band, designing Crimson Crow, ninjitsu (4 years now), Tae kwon do, Jeet kwon do, Fencing, Archery, Kenpo, Bass Guitar (6 years now), and cooking. I like to learn stuff, and I can learn quite quickly. I took 2 years at a Technical School to be certified as an IT technician. I'm currently enrolled in a University to learn programming. I've designed a few small games before, but nothing worthy. I'm trying to learn 3D modeling as a side hobby, but obviously I have long ways to go. About me as a developer. I've been coding for 3 years using Torque, and quite a bit of Torque Advanced. I've done source mapping, Torque mapping, conceptual art, environmental props, character/weapons modeling, light animations, story-boarding, writing plots/dialogue, managing PR and a team, making textures, getting photos for texturing, UV mapping, sound recording/editing, some music creation (Digital and live)... and more.

It was midnight. At least, thats what it looked like. I was stranded in the middle of Gull City, right near a downed mech smashed into a wall.
I had no ammo. Faulty spawn I guess.
Josh (The mapper) was somewhere in the map. It was simply a matter of finding him, but he was expecting me to join.
He may already be aiming at me.
I sprinted to the nearest building and flew up the stairs. It was a dimly lit room with many windows and some torn curtains keeping out the cold. I peeked out the corner window. Where could he be? Nothing in sight. A destroyed bridge lay in front of me outside the window. I went up the next flight of stairs.
This floor was ruined. The windows were blown out and debris covered the floor. I hopped out the broken window to the bridge, I then got a message from Josh.
"Meet me at the grassy building."
The what? I guess he mean't the old corner building on the other side of the city.
I headed in the direction. Maybe he didn't want to fight, after-all?
He was hiding behind the building. Which makes sense, since the building was too dark inside. Poor lighting sources. Might need to fix that.
We knew what we were going to do. Instead of shoot each other down, he headed out towards the suburbs.
After running down the main street and onto the highway, we looked about for cars. Nothing workable, it seems. It was a long walk.
Screeches of birds echoed in the distance. It was almost eerie. Sounded like there was 100s of them.
I knew it was only an ambiance.... but still.
Fortunately I knew the map well enough. I took a sharp left and ran off into the forest. Josh looked about in wonder. Why would I run into the dark forest?
I wandered over the fields, and honestly, I was pretty lost. Until I tripped over a large cement structure. There was a house just due north. I approached the house from the south side.
I knew what would happen if I tried to take the north side... Its not worth it.
I jumped over a fallen chair and ran upstairs into a bedroom. Josh showed up not a minute later, he must have followed me.
The building was way too dark, so Josh threw 4 flare objects to lighten the room.
I smirked. All was well. The suburbs were around the corner. I knew what could be there. Then again, this map sometimes had a lot of surprises.
I took the sprint ahead of Josh to the suburbs. The old decaying houses stuck out compared to the stark black background.
I went to the house I 3D modeled, and took a glance back. Something was following me, and Josh went the other way.
I sprinted to the back of the house to run into a bomb shelter. It was a small cement room buried in the ground, perfect for defending.
Whats this? I forgot to open the entrance in the editor.
I ran into the grass field. New plan! Run like crazy.
I ran towards an abandoned house on a hill away from the suburbs. Josh saw me and followed.
Unfortunately the grass in that area was very thick, and after getting lost for about... 5 minutes, we finally stumbled upon two working cars. Near the old building.
Ok, we didn't find them. We spawned them there to make travel easier.
I drove mine for about 30 seconds, and upon speeding downhill, I hit a curb and smashed the vehicle into an old brick building.
Well, that was clever.
Josh, driving carefully, slowly drove down to observe the mess.
He hopped out of the car, hoping to figure out where I went.
Being greedy, I ran up to his vehicle and started driving it away.
I could hear the birds screeching again. It was very loud and kind of annoying...
(Maybe that needs to be fixed too.)
Suddenly something smashed the side of the vehicle. I was sent flying, and almost in a dramatic sort of way, he screen began to turn black as my vehicle rolled out of control.
The birds began to screech slower and deeper as suddenly all sound had stopped.
Suddenly all the sound slowly began to return. I was back at Gull City before I knew it.
Josh must have did something...
I hit the TEOS button. The HUD popped up, only to show me my character was pretty injured.
Hmph.
I suddenly noticed Gull City was turning to morning. The fog and sky turned a light gray.
Thats weird, I never coded that in.
Well, another playtesting match that worked, I guess.
Next one will be more interesting, since we'll be adding a lot more stuff.
Maybe I need screen shots and videos.
