I play games, and sometimes, when my ADD isn't acting up, I study programming theory, algorithms and programming languages. I like breaking everything down from learning about extending programs, all the way to (attempting to) learn about the core of it. That's just how I am...

Ah, there's already an alpha out for it. Just bought it, can't wait to play it after I get back from a party!

That's great! Shame I never got many multiplayer people together though, 3079 was always like a potential MMO to me with its chunks system and the fact that you'd never know how tough someone was until you tried to hit them. Can't wait to see how 3089 will turn out!

Bleh, the game itself is good, me having played it on Steam, but since it's multiplayer only, it faces the same issue every multiplayer-only game faces: It dies out when the peanut gallery gets bored or forgets to wake up to play. Last I played it, there was almost NOBODY on it. Game's fun if you can find people to play with though, IF.

A good solution to training dummies is beating bandits, healing one and carrying him somewhere far from towns and patrols, waiting for him to heal while having him picked up, and then save and drop him. If he doesn't get up, even being fully healed, just save and load back, he'll be up. Whack the crap out of him. Heal again, rinse and repeat. Be warned: His skills increase, too. Just kill him for good once you're done with him and look for another. There's your training dummy. :)

It's a shame I was too late to buy this. It's an amazingly addictive game, despite repetitiveness. They don't make games like this anymore. I hope the devs. got a lot of money off of it, it's quite a treasure. Glad it's free now though. :)

Eh, yeah, I'd be careful. The last game that took 8-10 years to release ended up terrible. (DNF)

Course I have faith in this game, but by 2 years I'd forget the game exists. :P Well, do your best, the game so far introduces great ideas that I really like.

You can also beat one of the bandits, and then bandage them up quick and pick them up, wait until he heals. Once he does, drop him, and if he doesn't get up and attack, quicksave and quickload, and THEN fight him. Good one-on-one training, because the bandit will also improve on his skills as you fight him, so it doesn't eventually get too easy to beat him. Just an idea if you're having trouble staying alive in fights, and need to practice on a single bandit using multiple people.

As long as you'll get all the skills finished in the end-product (Martial Arts, crafting skills, Athletics fixed, etc.), I'm fine. I never personally cared much for building, but maybe it'll become quite interesting when the crafting skills are done.

Good game, except for the oddish issues with interface interaction with the mouse (sometimes the interaction freezes, and mousing over and clicking things won't work for a few seconds, something like that, happens A LOT.) Besides for that bothersome thing, I'm glad I picked it up quite a long time ago, and now picked it up on Desura as well, after losing my old copy. :)

The graphics were never an issue to me, I actually like the look a bit.

The keybindings were annoying, but I got used to that.

The problem I had with this game, is that it's too easy. All I have to do, literally, is hold the mouse button to attack, while holding still. They can't hit me at all when I do that. Most of these enemies should have come close to killing me, but because of the delay of their attacks, and the stagger from being hit, they can't lay a finger on me. THAT is game breaking.

There are also some translation issues that are irritable for English. Not really that major, but do get on my nerves.

Despite for that big bug mentioned above, I'd say the game is pretty good, if you're just looking for an RPG. The engine runs nice and smooth, gives you a Quest 64 kind of feel, and there's a nice variety of ways you can develop your character's skills or spells. Hell, I'll buy it. :P

Athletics doesn't seem to increase by running. Is there a different way to increase it, or does it take a long time? I've got the Alpha, not the demo, so it isn't any cap that's stopping me... it just doesn't seem to increase at all.

I have the 32 bit, and I crash, no stutters.

I have the latest Java version.

I installed it directly on my drive.

Windowblinds.exe is not running, and I don't recall a process like that existing on my computer.

I have no other games in the background.

and yeah Phr00t, the window just closed. I updated to the latest version you released. It does this in single player... it appears to be random, no specific time it occurs... I'm unsure why it's doing that. I'll see if an overwritten video option is causing it, which is possible.

I appeared to have a random crash to Windows after dying a couple times in a very short time period on wankercraft.org server. No error messages were given at all, caught me by surprise. Are there any areas I could check for a log of that incident, or such? I'm about to test it in single player to see if it only happens in multiplayer.

Sorry for the vague info, I'll attempt to get more useful information on the crash.

I was playing the demo, and typically, I was beaten outside of town. I cannot appear to get up or heal myself. Any suggestions on how I stand up, or recover on my own?

Hm... true, although coming by night visors is very difficult for me.

Maybe an option to lengthen the time it takes to shift to night, or shorten?

and yeah, I thought the Java update fixed my problem, but soon enough, the freezing returned. :(

Ah, actually, after updating Java, the freezes have seemed to stop. :)

But I do have another question: Do you plan on putting an option on the "Select New World" action, that allows for night to never cycle or occur, like you put for 3069? It would be a really handy feature!

I appear to crash every... 5 minutes, about. This appears to happen after dying and possibly transitioning to new chunks after rebooting life support. There are no crashing messages, the game simply freezes and I must end the process. This has not happened in earlier versions of the game. Any suggestions as to what it might be, or how I may obtain more useful information for you to debug the issue?
