TO GAME COMPANIES: First of all - thank you for your work and contribution to the world of gaming. As mentioned before: You are the Easter Bunny. We (the modders) are simply painting the eggs. But we are actively engaged in projects of serious game improvements. Mind that we are doing this in our spare time for zero ecomic benefit. I strongly encourage you to consider staff candidates from the Stalker modding scene. This is likely to be one of the best places for you to find motivation and dedication for a professional development environment. Several active modders are well capable of taking part in an actual and professional game development process. And if you choose not to I wish you the best in development and hope that at least some inspiration was found here. Thank you N.Aaroe The modding community

This is posted to gather ideas if any of you have better ideas for such symbol.
Do mind though that the symbol/icon has to work well in this micro size ingame.
I remain open to input...

The right one is better imo. Its more "original" and fresh. The left variant is too "vanilla".

Left one is vanilla.
Right one is what MISERY 2.0 uses currently.

This looks really better. I didn't like the arrow and the new icon is much better. Good job :)

Definitely the right symbol, it means that the weapon is 'customized' not 'better'. For example, if you have an AKS-74 which is upgraded from 650 RPM to 800 RPM, but without any recoil-lowering parts, is it then better?

The right one is better, but can be improved. It's something one can easily look over and miss. Making the gear a bit brighter, and/or fill in the center would probably help it.

Isn't much of a big deal honestly, sure there are downsides with some upgrades, so I guess the right symbol.

Isn't there anything with more concern?
Surely there must be.

Hey, like the Gear symbol, and i wonder if it would be possible to maybe make it so that the colour of the gear changes form copper to silver and then gold if the weapon has upgrades in 1st, 2nd or 3rd tier?

Description

I never really like those arrows saying *this weapon is improved*.
For quite a long time I have wanted to edit the symbol to something saying *customized' instead as many so called 'upgrades' have downsides also.

And also I think that a symbol for 'change' is needed instead of the arrow symbol which only states 'better'.
A customized weapon is not necessarily better but may have pros and cons when compared to a standard issue model
