I strongly encourage you to consider staff candidates from the Stalker modding scene. This is likely to be one of the best places for you to find motivation and dedication for a professional development environment. Several active modders are well capable of taking part in an actual and professional game development process. The idea is that these three stalkers all come from the same background as M.Deg. But they have different specializations from that team background: personalities, performances, starting gear, names and portraits ingame depending on who you choose to play. Beta testing will show me if anything in the storyline is to 'ruin' this idea.

Those are not names but specialization/backgrounds. You can choose what uss type you wanna be in your game (select your character - displayet in one of the earlier images)

I understand that these crashes are unacceptable and they would be for me as well. They are somehow unique in the sense that they haven't occured in the testing versions at all.

Few have reported that their saves makes CTD's but none in the way that yours are. Others solved the issues by avoiding overwriting saves but this is obviously not the solution in your case.

Is your installationen of the mod manipulated in any way?
Try googling the issues if no insights are posted here.

I could double their speed and melee damage but that wouldn't give us a serious dangerous mutant in my opinion. The pigs are just dumb and tormented and I think that I will leave them that way. Just feel sorry for them Kaboodles and take care when other dangers might be around

My thought exactly :) To me the standard Flesh more looks like crossover between a frog and a spider who has just given up on life. This one is mad and just wants to bite you for its misery!

What you see here is my first attempt to redesign "The Flesh" mutant so that it somehow replicates a real pig even more than the vanilla design.
It has a large snout and is less freaky mutated as the standard Flesh.
My goal is to have the animal look infuriated and tormented at the same time. (it has new sounds to accompany the design).

Right, the only thing that's a barrier here is the fact that some skilled programmer would have to make notion to the engine that:
- 'X thrust animation'
- 'triggered by X key (with X item attached)'
- 'deals X amount of damage
- 'in X radius'
The rest could easily be done in my opinion. But I am aware that this engine hack is close to impossible (at least with my knowledge that is).

I will leave this idea here. If anyone thinks that they are capable of doing this you are more than welcome to PM me.

A bajonet would be an item like the silncer/grenade launcher. My biggest mystery there would be how to tell the engine that "now the weapon tip is dealing melee damage with this attachment when you press this key".

Thank you Nasha. Well, we will consider this, but the cards are physical products and make up the far majority of production and shipping costs in this regard. The cards are higher prized than the average retail common deck, but they are also very rare. The website host shut it down due to traffic overload. This is out of our hands unfortunately.
But now we have both the UPDATE and the FULL version being uploaded here at least.
And both of them fit within the max file size limit.

I just wonder why the uploads are sooo slow because we have a potent bandwidth here

Oh it is definitely possible.
We did extreme variation for weapons and NPCs - who knows maybe someday the same expansion may apply to mutants also. They can have diverse looks, attributes, sounds and behavior.
People tracking closely actually do know that we already have 5 distinct looks for PseudoGiants.
We just haven't utilized the designs

MISERY is designed for FIRST PERSON only.

Not every mutant kill generates lootable items as some of them are too infested to be worth anything. But most does. Sniper class has hunting perks and will be benefit more from mutant body looting. The diversity of lootable mutant parts is huge.

The sun tint looks a bit too overly yellow/greenish to my taste.
It doesn't look that well aligned with how the sun would tint in your eyes in this situation.

It sure does look better ingame but the blurry feel is intentional. When your eyes focus on vicinity a visor scratch or crack a few centimeters from your eyes would be very much out of focus (hence the blur).

We actually only did a single open crack in one of the helmets and that is at 5% condition...
A wide open crack would indicate a very certain eye injury (or worse!), so I think we increased immersion by the removal of those big cracks.

This is a prime example of why we share and promote the mod content here with such passion. You guys convinced me that the NR-40 would have to be in the Zone somewhere.
A lot of good inspirational photos was provided to me and this is the result. It is not perfect but I think that it lives up to our standard and ambitions.

I am quite happy with this addition as it adds a lot of character and depth to this certain knife - which is a weapon and tradeable item of version 2.0.

I see the aspect of knives completed for now.
Now, there are some other aspects to attend to...

The performance impact of this feature all relies on how the sfx files are formatted but even more related to their size in KB/MB. If Daemonion keeps these sounds at a lenght common in SDK there should be no impact at all.

Trojanuch did loads of tweaks to the whole system so it is worth going back to this display once you have entered the Zone in MISERY 2.0.

The top image reveals a new helmet HUD design by Dorian23Grey that has been included in MISERY 2.0.

I know about typos in the texts and I will see to them and update the display.

Exploring the Zone as a Sniper class soldier seems like the safer approach in Zaton and Jupiter which are very open environments. The undergrounds and center of Pripyat is a different matter though. Keeping your distance might save you alot of rubles from medic and general wound treatment. But arms dealers are aware of these preferences and preferred Zone advancement. This is the reason why they can get away with increased prices for long distance weaponry in Zaton/Jupiter and close range weapons around any type of underground.
So the Sniper class might save funds on medic equipment but only to spend this on more coveted and expensive long distance weaponry, scopes, customization and ammunition. Every shot and every miss costs him more. Every class has his pros and cons.

You will find that also ammunition supplies are well balanced and logic throughout the whole game.
I will not answer your question directly but I can ensure you that this aspect is well managed by trojanuch who is in charge of game balance in MISERY 2.0

This is actually a redesign of the well known 'artifact slots' for each upgradeable armor and suit in the game.

These are no longer look upon as solely artifact related but as general 'Attachment Modules'' that can be installed to your suit. You can then apply whatever armor attachment you want to that 'attachment module'.

I think that you did well here. Too bad that these textures don't blend with outlines but have designated areas with sharp borderlines.

You could blend in green or earth colours with your track textures to compensate. Afterall the track base is likely to be less clean than what it is now

We made it so that it is all up to the player to choose how much metal he want's to travel with.
So the light recon class can choose to carry several kilos of ammunition if he wants
- but he will be burdened alot more than the heavier assaulter class will in such setup.
The sniper class is the golden middle way in this regard and if his 'type' is role played to perfection he will be equipped with more types of 'special' ammunition but only in small quantities.

So we did this gameplay mashup teaser for you.

In MISERY 1.1 all zombies must be killed with direct headshots.
In MISERY 2.0 you can kill a zombie effectively using your knife, thermite (fire) grenades or direct shots to their heart, head or spine. They don't respond to shots directed at any other part of their body.

But we did more than that. For MISERY 2.0 we tweaked zombie awareness and firearm accuracy letting you sneak up and stab their heart from behind. And there is no more sniper accuracy going on from their side.
Many of them have dropped their weapons and just stare at you. Their weapons and inventories are all reconfigured and diversified. But beware: in large numbers they might surround and choke you like in this teaser.

This is a typical danish soldier look: Google.dk The funny thing is I actually do have a tendency to favour the lush green camouflage (I can relate to it more).

And of course there's the more global look Hjv.dk which is easier to relate to for more national backgrounds

Well, I have no doubt that 'camouflaged' and 'personalized' profiles will be debated the most.
I chose my camo inspiration from this: Jaybe-militaria.co.uk
and I could have chosen a thousand others.

You are of course welcome to edit it however you like yourself but I went with this one because it has this gritty/custom made feel that I like as the weapon design touch for the MISERY arsenal. And moss is exactly what I wanted for it.

It's a funny thing this weapon design. There will never be a design that everyone likes. To my experience the preference of camouflage designs heavily depend on your national background.

First of all I must congratulate you on this absolutely sexy heavy armour commando look. The details are great and colours desaturated.
I think that this is a well fitting look for a well trained, well equipped soldier with a special task at hand. I can't think of anything that I would like to see changed. Seeing his eyes is so cool and adds atmosphere.

This one is all Photoshop work and I spend a good amount of time on it. This may be my favourite hobby and with practise the abilities grow. Don't be harsh on yourself and just have fun. That's the main thing.

That Metro model on the right hand side is a design that I could fall in love with.
The details are there and the color scheme is great also imo. Personally I would remove that red logo on his chest though. The texture work is top notch not much else to say really.
You could make a green design also and have soldiers use that. The design is not far from Spetznaz (well, from what I've seen) -so that means that it is realistic to see such uniform design here.

There's now an even greater variation in the arsenal used by NPCs.
Stalkers and bandits use pretty much any weapon including some of the newly added common weapons like the AKM, SKS and the FN FS 2000. See them here. Moddb.com

You will find that some rookies may only be equipped with a standard pistol and a few rounds in terms of armament.
The more experienced have found their way to a proper firearm but may not even have a secondary backup weapon.
The veterans are well equipped with quality weaponry. But all NPCs carry a minimum of the expensive ammunition required for their objectives and survival.

Factions like duty, monolith and mercs are well armed by standard.

Zombified stalkers are also less well armed now. It is no longer an advantage to spend lots of bullets on taking them down as the loot simply is less attractive now.
There's also a big risk involved in trying to overcome a group of zombified stalkers.
I suggest that you help equipping your group members with quality weaponry if you want to be safe in The Zone.

NPCs might carry stuff like rotten food, protein bars, cigarettes or joints in their backpack.

Staker novices now wear easily obtainable camoflage jackets like this J5-pl.nazwa.pl instead of the very bright grey ones.

And so do I. This is a great presentation and I think that you are all doing really great on this mod. Weapon kicks seems fair and cool at the same time and I really like that last kill in the end where the guy is thrown back by the impact to his chest. Almost went through the window there :)
I am aware that this is not the focus but the environmental textures are also really nice.

It looks very good! In my opinion melee weapons should be local instruments that would be around anyway i.e. metal bars, tools (hammers, pikes, screwdrivers), aluminium pipes, etc... Looking forward to video insights! Hopefully guns will have alot of punch to them!

- Would it be a small portion of much used and unique eastern weaponry that's been smugled in by stalkers?
- Or clean military weapon types right out the box stolen from the military?

I just don't know how to correct them and I know that it happens for BuffaloBoobs also as commented in the mod profile. It's a sad error as we all should be able to enjoy freeplay as well.
