Nice work, especially as it's for Portal 1
Its great to see original ideas still coming for mods in portal 1, this looks real interesting and I cant wait to play it, good work.
Thanks for the mention, this is where my P:A work lives.
yeah think so too and thats just a flat walkway not the Penrose stairs
if the tiles were smaller you could have clearer angles on the arrows.
Smaller tiles, more defined arrows
"Federal regulations require me to warn you that this test chamber... is looking pretty good."
A little addition to your sketch, what do you think?
Looks nice, good work.
looks amazing, great work guys
Looks good, i like it a lot always good to change things up a bit.
If those are new button skins i love them, if not, they are still cool looking
Yeah i like it, also like the look of the chambers, good work.
Part 2 to be expected next week, any comments and questions that people would like answering?
Thanks for reading.
A feature I'm attempting to create for this soundtrack is now here:
Great lighting here, good work.
Good looking mod, lots of original items, like it.
That looks really professional good work guys.
Looking mighty swish, like it a lot.
No worries guys, we're here waiting on your judgement. Keep up the good work, I'm sure the community here will appreciate your efforts.
Well many of the synth sounds originate various VST's starting with a basic preset and then arranging the oscillators and other values to create the right sound (metallic feels and such) then a variety of VST effects were used on top of those sounds.
In terms of a tutorial its doubtful i'll be doing one but i can let you know which VST were used and even share them but i wont be doing a tutorial, sorry.
Everything for P:A OST was made by me apart from a few extremely manipulated samples yes.
If your composer doesn't show give me a shout, i've just finished this: Moddb.com
if you are wondering what I'm capable of.
Thanks to everyone for giving this a listen the numbers have gone through the roof! Once the mod is released I should be able to get them up to download if that what people would want?
What is the difference between them? They look great, but just wondering what their purpose is.
Well well well, Awakening is back on, looks like i shall have to reinstate my musci hat to ts rightful position...on head.
These images are really impressive, were they for P:A if so then dont let them go to waste, i know lots of people would kill to play these maps, even if just the whet their appetite for portal 2
Actually really liking how stark and grim this mod looks, adds a really paranoiac and enclosed feeling, good work.
By far one of the most innovative maps i've played, pulling in the look and feel of portal 2 with extreme speed.
Look forward to anything further developed on this there, bravo!
Run, man, run!
Why isn't this hosted as a full mod? the time and effort that clearly went into it really should give it the proliferation it deserves
How is the game going guys need anything more from me yet?
Really liking the new textures to this mod, the buttons look great with the full colour scheme.
any chance of using this to update your previous portal 2 elements pack?
No way, reep this is damned amazing and infuriatingly good, when do we get to test it out?
Good to see music is an integral part of making any mod unique, glad to see the musicians getting their props.
Really i thought my news item about P:A Ost was stretching it, but i dont even know what most of this is.
Is this just an announcement to say you are making a mod?
You have a blog use it.
To me it looks great, the general idea is brilliant and very interesting. The overall look needs some work on textures to give that big impact when stepping into the open space of the TARDIS but i understand that its still a little 'blocky' with this being an alpha.
Good work tho, i'll keep this one tracked
That looks like a lot of fun, looking forward to the mod, good work!
Amazing, simply amazing, bravo on your originality and the effort put into the models
Woot woot! nice to see some more media on the lead in to the release, very excited now!
Looks great and the damage to the chamber is very realistic, good work.
Good to hear, and from the buzz generated it looks like you have nothing to worry about in terms of people being disappointed.
Keep up the good work and thanks (in advance) for providing us with such a great mod.
Nice melody but imo does need some fleshing out to make it fit to a portal mod better.
This is really nice there should be more outdoor work in portal mods, good work.
Love the lighting on this, good work.
Thanks guys, looking forward to it.
Wow, just wow!
I'd have to agree with this the mod is extremely well done in terms of the hours that have gone in for texture, sound, game play development and and all its other unique intricacies.
The problem being it is just too damn hard, I don't know if this is a product of being made by rather advanced portal fans (frame of mind being 'portal was too short and too easy') or whether you we're hoping for longevity.
Love the look, love the gameplay just wish I could enjoy it more.
All tracks from Portal: Awakening: OST are now available in this news post:
as a stand alone player, enjoy!
Portal: Awakening mod available here:
Loving the textures on this, would give a mod a very original look.
And this is all done for portal 1?
This is looking great for a P1 mod bravo, will download and play very soon.
Looks good, don't understand it but it looks great!
Is that a melon?
That rug really ties the room together!
I'm so goign to die trying to cross this.
These are some big *** chambers
Awesome I always wanted a portal mod with more outdoor areas.
I fully support new assets made for mods, any show of originality can only make a mod stand out. Just creating a simple test using the elements provided in Portal isn't going to cut it in terms of having a mod recognised and enjoyed for the effort that went in.
I personally like the look of this door keep up the good work.
Very dramatic, i like it
I like how modern this looks bravo
These rooms look nice, well done. nice to see something a bit different.
I think you need more differentiation on size of tiles to add a little visual interest
This is also an awesome shot, looks like production on this mod has really ramped up.
The lighting here is pretty sexy!
Glad you like it how is the development going?
A choreographer? Is there a dance sequence? I hope so.
Nice, looks dark and moody, sinister almost. I'll have to get on with some tracks that reflect it.
Good to hear, looking forward to seeing some new 'stuff' soon.
Love the tardis mod any news on continuing it?
looks good whats it for?
Good track, look forward to hearing the final piece.
A tip tho, if you upload this to the 'videos' section of your page people can preview it direct as opposed to a download which wont get as many hits.
Would love to see even just this one room released.
Nice to see some of the ascension elements carried over.
Shame this was shelved, loved the original look of 'Ascension'
Looking good, liking the big space in the chambers
Well this is curious?
Liking the nice clean looks good work.
Liking the slow ebb at the beginning of this, needs a decent reverb though.
Warzone final tracks are now (and will be updated in the future) on last.fm
Please follow the link below and enjoy.
Any of the warzone team keep a copy of 'warpath v.2 - WIP' I have lost me copy and would like to host it to show progress?
Let me know, thanks.
A little tip from one composer to another, get yourself on www.soundcloud.com and learn how to use their HTML set embedding.
I've used it a few times, its real handy for posting whole soundtracks/albums here on moddb.
The Portal: Awakening OST is a good example of it.
Good luck and keep up the good work.
Love the way that this pic hints at the content, good work.
These images sum the mappack up brilliantly, really like the focus used.
What other cubes do you have planned? Is that the jist of the name?
Downloads now available in the player above, enjoy!
This is a good looking mod, liking the appropriate use of HL textures
This is awesome, i am so looking forward to this, keep up the good work.
Nice lighting, is this for any mod in particular?
Like the roof breaking effects, looks like you have some good ideas, nice work!
Cool, looks like you guys are striving ahead, let me know if you need anything.
Love the outdoor mapping, something thats been kind of missed out of most portal mods, bravo!
Lasers and steps, nice work.
Looks like an interesting puzzle!?
The lighting looks great in these screenshots, hope it continues to the actual mod. good work.
Like this box dropper, i can already see myself trapping my head in it, damn!
Sounds good, really looking forward to this. Intrigued to find out what new game play elements are?
These cubes are pretty sexy, well done.
Really like the look of this pic, the lighting is brilliantly atmospheric, keep up the good work.
Nice, no matter how unique a mod, i always find the lift to detract from it by its lack of originality.
Problem..? I have found this to be one of the best mods/maps out there, sadly it's not here on moddb but thought it deserved a bit of limelight.
These comparisons are pretty sweet, liking the bloom, keep up the good work.
Like this a lot, great looking textures and plenty of interesting game elements, keep up the good work, i'll look forward to seeing/playing this mod
No idea, i hear time constraints but either way the music still stands and was created with portal in mind, so if you know anyone who needs some original tracks send them my way.
I have no idea what that video was meant to show, 2 mins of compiling data and loading screens aren't going to get people excited.
Although those portal textures are quite cool if thats what you are showing off?
Wow, wonder what's through there?
This looks really nice, i was just thinking that the rest of the images looked a little murky, good to see some expansive and bright spaces to add variety to the mod.
