I have clocked more than 1000 hours on Oblivion (console & windows), maybe around 500 on Fallout 3 and 250 on New Vegas. Most of that time is in mods more than the actual games. Awesome, didn't make sense that you suddenly have thick concrete(?) walls immediately, looks perfect for the makeshift beginner walls. Although the gatehouse does look a little 'bandit' more than settler, barbed wire is fine and makes sense but spikes coming from the walls points more towards the camp being of an evil nature.

That's fair, I personally don't have much interest in soundtracks or artbooks usually, it's more because of lack of funds to spend than not being willing to help back the game, if I had the $25 while still being able to afford food I'd happily pay that much.

It was called the Andrasta, and indeed was also a Firespray. This model was likely one of the ones later built by KSE after the incident in which the prototypes built alongside the Slave I were destroyed. I don't claim to be knowledgeable about if this is the case of course, just using the information I've gathered about the ship.

The bit about them building a new line of Firesprays is about halfway through the 'History' section.

If you are going to get into terminology then you shouldn't be using dry-dock and wet-dock, as neither make sense in space being that there is no water. Although as far as I know there is no space version of the terminology...you could use air-dock and space-dock? air-dock being inside as they wouldn't need to worry about venting any air while repairing, space-dock being outside, in space.

I am sort of undecided about what races you can play as. Since you are still starting in the Skyrim world it would be a bit odd to see the likes of a Wraith wandering around with no explanation. I will probably make it possible to play as all of the added races which are still basically human in shape (so no playable Asgard unless someone wants to spend the time to model that with all the possible clothing and armour on them too).

Cybermen, and any other conversion based race will be playable but not from the start of the game, much like how you cannot start as a vampire. If you are to become a Cyberman for example, you would have to undergo the quest in which they convert you.

Oddly Stargate is the module I thought least likely to receive one, more worried about the Star Wars(Lucasarts) or Doctor Who(BBC), the BBC have been more than happy to throw a hissy fit over something very little before so wouldn't surprise me there. And well to put it bluntly, George Lucas is a ____ when it comes to what fans want (best example, original trilogy without CGI in HD).

Well when people (like me) have homes with storage containers numbering close to or into triple digits it becomes a bit hard to simply memorize what is where. I now have separate ROOMS for each block I can mine, food item, misc items and so on, some of which span a few dozen chests in whatever direction I made the room...

So in short it might be useful for hoarders like me.

Collision mesh won't make too much difference in this case (and they already are re-done when I change the model), the star wars speeders won't need to fly as they only hover slightly above the ground anyway and teltak is twice the size if not more of any of the ships that will be flyable.

too large, the ones planned to fly are all the smaller ones, this process is essentially swapping the model of a duplicate horse so I am trying to keep the size as small as possible to avoid clipping with walls and things.

Hehe, well then I might keep it as an alternate floor piece then, as it will be modular I might as well make as many variations I can. The walls aren't detailed here but that will change drastically when textures are added.

Forgot to note that the blue was simply for helping me set up how it might look, each wall section will be themed with blue, yellow, red, green and purple though, they will help with navigation as lines on the floors will be used to guide the player to different sections.

Thinking the colours should be themed as follows:
Blue - Security
Yellow - Living Spaces/Apartments
Red - Hospital/Clinic/Other Medical
Green - Bio-Domes/Laboratory/Other Scientific or Agricultural
Purple - Stores/Bars & Clubs/Other misc workplaces
Grey - Factory or Offices

These may change, just what I think would work for easy understanding of where to go. There will obviously be signs too but I hope to make the Tarean cities pretty expansive so you will probably need the signs and such or it would be quite easy to get lost in the thinner corridor areas.

It runs perfectly on Windows 7, 32 bit and 64 bit, I have a computer and laptop (64 and 32 respectively) The only thing you need to do is use a workaround to get the game to use 256 colours, either using a bat file technique which closes explorer.exe when the game is opened and then opens explorer again when the game is closed, or use compatibility options.

May not have installed it right, there should be a esp, bsa and another file all with the same name in your Skyrim/data folder. I have it uploaded on Skyrim Nexus too and they say its working fine. Could be a corrupt download I guess?

Absolutely I am adding those body snatching monsters :D I am even giving the player the chance to become one, and then overthrow the system lords and become Supreme Emperor of the Goa'uld. Thats at the very least a couple of months away though :P, I will be adding a few races/factions from the shows involved so any race/faction you want to know if it going to be in the mod then it likely will be.

The point of the head of the ship looks like it would be much better, since none of the others were producing helpful options and just criticizing it. I think it would work either place for the visual appearance of it, but personally the dip at the point I think would be best.

I think it is to do with when you draw tactics you draw symbols to represent squads, for example you might use an Omega symbol with a 1 for a squad of marines, each marine in that squad would have the omega on the right shoulder and the one on the left. That's what I did when I painted mine :D Same with the tanks, troop transports I mark as an arrow like the one above.

Yeah the textures on the cliff are stretched, the editor works by stretching areas of a flat plane up and down to make hills/cliffs and ditches and stuff so it stretches the textures along with it, still looks fine that way, nothing can be done about it anyway really.

These are Super Battle Droids, normal Battle Droids are quite a bit smaller than them along with any human sized unit. It should say that these are dwarfed by their predecessors, and that the norml Battle Droids stand over their successors. Although the sizes should be the other way round, notices this a lot in this mod, although the original game wasnt exactly great, this mod is the only reason I got it.

Well u cant have! yet anyway, had alot of problems with the hosting company not giving what i need so Im setting it up to run from my home computer, an empty one with a hard drive just big enough to hold all the data it would need to for a couple million players, plus the site itself. That way none of my personal files may be accessed and I can add features at will without dealing with horrible site hosting that is worse than most free ones.

That engine was terrible and so was the game, I generally like games from Paradox but that one was like it was in a box for 10 years after they developed it before releasing it. This game on the other hand already looks and feels better than A Game of Dwarves.

Already have all the references I need, magazines are an outdated format in my mind, and almost impossible for me to use to get decent looking textures even with a good scanner. But yeah I have made a decent amount of progress on the console room since that render, the only thing I need to do now is wait to see the further in rooms which will apparently be in some upcoming episodes.

I'll have the console room in-game before then of course, I am dying for a new player home to use as none of the ones I have tried lately work for me.

I haven't used magic launcher yet, yeah Multi-Minecraft lets you have 'instances' of minecraft, which basically means it has installs in different folders which never interact with each other. You can set the version to any one back to a certain point, think it was one of the early beta versions, all the way up to the latest snapshots. It's also pretty easy to install mods with, but that's down to personal preference more than anything.

I use Multi-Minecraft to test out the newest snapshot, keeps the last stable version safe and totally separate. But yeah as long as they don't remove anything for 1.5 which is in the snapshot it should still work fine.

Looks like it produces a section of the map based on your position and shows the resources available in different colours. Seems pretty straight forward to me. I'm guessing building the appropriate equipment over certain areas allow for higher production than areas with less of the resource.

Considering all in the menu it seems the location the results are collected from surround the character used to prospect and their skill, possibly varying the area size and ability to find higher quality deposits. Water would be good for the water mill, fertility for the farm, stone for the stone mine and I'd guess the iron being separate means that iron will have it's own mine or option to mine it from the same building as the stone.

As I said though, just a guess.

Oh I know why you added TESO, it being a TES game is not a good enough reason to add it though, you didn't add Arena, Daggerfall, Morrowind or Oblivion so the only reason there would be to add TESO is to get a little more attention to the mod as more people would be likely to be watching TESO than the older games. Considering I already see ~100 updates a week on ModDB through things I watch, it just annoys me seeing something not remotely related to what it is I'm watching.

I didn't think to try out Crysis 3 codes to get rid of it, very nice, I've always thought motion blur is the worst thing you can put into a game to try to get it to look better, all it does is add more blur to the already realistic amount your eyes have! Quite frankly I'm very disappointed with the horses. For some reason I don't like them as much as any mod that has ever added horses. They just look wrong. The tail animation is pathetic too. I'll wait till the next update they add something worthwhile to the game, I'm happy on 1.5.2 with mods.

What part of procedural generation do you not understand? The terrain is simplistic because of the (I'm guessing voxel) system used to generate the world. The colours never matching...I have no idea what you are talking about other than the colours being completely random, which is probably part of the procedural generation too.

No need to be a graphics ***** if the gameplay is any good, making something pretty also doesn't make it good and Paranautical Activity is only nicer looking in one way, lighting. That game is in beta though, this is in alpha, so either way this game wouldn't be nearly as polished as it will be.

I do intend on having it able to be summoned, but I haven't decided on the actual mechanism for it, I only know it won't be a spell. I will probably do it with a 'Tardis Key' object, I'm not sure how the effect will be done either as I haven't reached that yet.

I'll be at least trying to get the proper effects but I can't say for sure so it might be the standard conjuration effect with the Tardis sounds.

Those swords would be perfectly usable in battle, swords you would think of when it came to medieval ages would have been about that in length and only half the width, they were like that to be able to produce great weapons with the least materials. The weight of those swords was pretty light compared to what you would expect and being double to triple the weight wouldn't make you much slower at all.

I actually haven't decided where to actually host the next version, ModDB is always going to be a host for downloading the mod though. I've hidden the file on Skyrim Nexus because of it being still worked on yes, I only recently hid the file because I was getting too many PM's about it.

I probably will upload it to Skyrim Nexus and several other sites but no matter where it goes two versions will be available when it is finished. The first version is just the mod in it's entirety which can be installed manually or using any mod manager, the other version will only be able to be installed through mod managers which support the scripted install (NMM, ModOrganizer and Wrye Bash I think all support it). That version will be able to install the mod modularly, basically a choice of which TV shows/movies/books you like and which you don't. I'll be making it near impossible for a conflict with other mods, since the only location in the vanilla game which will change is a door/boat/ship/something to take you to the new areas added by the mod. Bit of a long reply but hopefully that answers your question :)

On a side note I notice majority of ships use an aerodynamic design, surely that would be pointless in the void of space? For smaller ships which can go in-atmosphere I can see the reasoning for landing and taking off on planets but other larger ships I don't see the reasoning for it in design.

Not yet anyway, a way eventually crawled out for Oblivion but they made the model code for that disappear int he latest version of .nif that they used for Skyrim. There will be a way eventually since there are models that have the appearance of animated in vanilla skyrim.

I wasn't accusing outright either, it was more a statement that he should have the latest update if he obtained the game legally, as stardock and steam both distribute the updates and cannot be obtained elsewhere.

The red is ridiculous, I have never seen anything more than incredibly thin lines (probably veins) of red on the super hive in any of the reference images I could find, including the one linked to. The model and texture apart from the red looks beyond amazing, I saved the images and removed the red to see how it would look without it and it looks a million times better.

Then you have a conflict with another mod. Or you are using a version lower than 1.4.27 which the mod was made for, 1.5 update should work fine.

Edit: If you are using Nexus Mod Manager then it may have Skyrim.esm in grey, this means it isnt actually ticked, I have this problem often and fix it using Wrye Bash to tick the file, it may also be fixed in Skyrim Launcher but I havent tried it.

Simplifying it to 1 Scripter, 1 Modeller, 1 Texturer, 1 Animator and 1 sound maker, still would be really hard to find. It would be able to, I'm guessing they are made using a standard 3D model printer in which case they would print exactly what you want it to, in this case it looks like they just printed that to show what it can do. Cave systems in a block would be a bit pointless unless they were made specifically to make it look good when made like that.

Its a cheat mod, it being a mod means nothing really its more of a hack than a mod. I use InvEdit simply for making my multiplayer server as I require a lot of wood/brick blocks, cheating isnt bad if you just want to use it to make a cool map and its not hurting anybody obviously.

@Darthlex You seem to take that rather personally, if you dont like that he used a mod to make a map then dont bother commenting and go look at the other maps.

The only normal pyramid ships I seen in stargate had four corners unlike the hataks with three. Otherwise the normal looking ones wouldnt have been able to land on a egyptian style pyramid.

There are no private servers for Guild Wars as the game is free to play online and nowadays costs next to nothing, I have searched for private servers on many online games (as some are actually legal if you look into the T&C) and Guild Wars is one that hasnt been done, along with Star Wars Galaxies (One exists but STILL doesnt work anywhere near full power).

Any protection you put on games to slow down pirates(yes slow down as you will not and cannot stop a pirate) will just annoy people who actually paid for it in the first place, I will happily admit that all my games are legal, although I have resorted to pirate cracks etc to be able to play without requiring internet connection and sometimes without disks so I dont need to trail around with all the disks. Steam is far from uncrackable, such as fallout 3, use the fallout mod manager and it doesnt require steam to be running to launch the game with FOSE.

Back to my point, dont bother with anti-piracy, if they are going to try to pirate it, they will and if they were going to pirate it they probably wouldnt pay for it in the first place. You will just end up making the paying customer hate you for it.

Maybe ;) Yeh its going to be used a few times as a gate room, Ive kinda chopped off the bottom and using the top as a separate building which holds the gate and the jumpers for travelling around the world or to the worlds moons.

Not only would the amount of lag put people into fits of histerics I really dont care for building a whole city. I do have several Atlantis models I can use for LOD purposes, like on the Alteran world when you visit the main city you could maybe see Atlantis in the distance on the water. But no, nobody has done it for oblivion because it would be rediculous to even attempt it.

If you mean file size then I havent got a clue, well over 100MB anyway, and thats without the mass of textures I will need to use.

On the other hand if you mean in-game size then I have a rough idea, probably the size of cyrodil, but split into 10-15 planets, maybe more.
Although there wont be nearly as much quests, not to begin with anyway, The first stage is just getting all the main file done, everything after that will separate add-ons which you can choose what you want. For example if I add asgard, goa'uld and tollan planets in a file each, and someone doesnt want goa'uld, then you dont need to download that one but the other 2 will still work fine. That should reduce the file size a bit at least.

Also the Doctor Who, Star Wars, Battlestar Galactica and spaceship expansion are all going to be optional too.

Im planning on a couple (as I say, the sontaran battleship), quests are a must of course, a mod like this needs them, not to mention my unique way of aquiring the TARDIS to begin with (being kept secret so dont bother asking lol). I was thinking the Dalek ship interiors would be easy enough to do too, if the models do what I want them to that is.

Keeping in mind this mod is based in an alternate universe not only for stargate but any other series in the mod, this gives me much more freedom to use things and bend information with other things, I will try and stay canon with most things (The Time War for example), although doing this means I can also use things from the show in a different way, like the Pandorica (will definately be in the mod as a quest).

Well luckily Ive already thought through all of those things, and the symbiotes werent there when the human population was growing and advancing. Keep in mind that the Goa'uld in SG-1 were small in number and all wanted to be gods, but there were also another faction of them, the Tok'ra, all basically good and were able to live with a large number of others without a problem. With that, I thought itd be cool to see what would happen if, I dunno, a ship crashed on the planet? And maybe this ship had cargo of several hundered thousand symbiotes?

And about people not noticing, Im not going to explain fully yet but think of the episode where a whole town had clones of symbiotes inside them and not one of them had a clue.

Plus, this isnt much of a canon mod if you havent noticed lol, the only things that are staying the same so far are technology and the races. Im not even sure if Im going to make the entire population goa'uld, maybe just the more important people, like the Prime Minister (yes I live in the UK so its going to be that instead of president). Whichever I choose will still have the same basic story to it so I can decide that when I start.

And as a little clue to the story, goa'uld used Unas before humans as hosts...

Glad Im starting to get more feedback now :)

Yes and I also ONLY have 100-120 models to create, texture and convert to .nif files so without help on even the simplest things like the symbols on the new gate then this mod wont be finished any time soon.

Just so everyone knows, theres cyber punk images in the gallery because there will be some cyberpunk things in the game. This saves me alot of time making two games which are practically the same, and saves me money as it means I wont have to pay for another domain name.

The cyberpunk part will be pretty much optional, since it will just be on a separate planet from the others which will all be steampunk.

I admit it is difficult, go to vivec, hall of justice, its next to the hall of wisdom under the floating moon thingy. there is an office somewhere there with 2 ordinators in it and a trap door half under the carpet in the corner of the room, theres only 2 or 3 rooms this cud be so jus check them till u find it, the trapdoor does have a lock on it AND a trap (hence trapdoor) if u dont want to risk dying u cud use the console and type in tgm for god mode, then turn it off after if you want. the book is on the table next to the door as u walk in. The next thing is much easier to find :) hope that helps.
