The more comments added the longer it stays alive, keep it alive so it can suffer in it's buried state...
I still don't see enough differences to buy it, it's certainly not confusion, I do see the differences listed, I just don't think it's worthwhile when I already have 3079.
Well, I'll never be playing as UNSC...
You guys have some serious talent, of course you already know that, just thought it should be said yet again.
Looks good, although I won't be buying it, as far as I can see this is a simple grab for more money, pretty much an alternative appearance for 3079 and I bought that so I could care less about buying a slightly different game made by the same guy.
What part of procedural generation do you not understand? The terrain is simplistic because of the (I'm guessing voxel) system used to generate the world. The colours never matching...I have no idea what you are talking about other than the colours being completely random, which is probably part of the procedural generation too.
No need to be a graphics ***** if the gameplay is any good, making something pretty also doesn't make it good and Paranautical Activity is only nicer looking in one way, lighting. That game is in beta though, this is in alpha, so either way this game wouldn't be nearly as polished as it will be.
Yup keep mentioning the mod API as a future feature, I'll believe it when I see it.
Why bother? You can download it from Mojang's site.
1th? What's that? I always thought it was 1st...
I thought the exact thing they were doing is having it so you can land your ship on every planet with an outpost of some sort, then walk around a relatively small area for buying goods, ammo, etc. Since setting up a cool looking skyline for 100 planets would not take as long as you would think, being that you wouldn't be walking to them and just seeing them in the background.
Who the hell expects a Mel Brooks movie reference to get down voted as spam?!
Leave the TARDIS, Daleks and Cybermen in and I'll be your slave for a year.
HAH! Spaceball One! Does it transform into Mega Maid as a special ability?
Glad I'm not the only one who seen the APCs from Aliens then. On another more offended note, fracking April 1st...
Ah good point, it could still work with limited distance, just don't have a maximum limit, as in the city itself needs to 'rank up' by having a certain amount of people. That way it could potentially expand forever but only if enough people join it.
You could have it so the first portal is surrounded by a few rectangles of territory of it's own, enough that it cannot be built inside a city and a city cannot build too close to it. I don't imagine it would be possible to completely stop someone from coordinating their city around the territory of a portal no matter how far out it goes, if anything a larger territory could cause some interesting conflicts over territory control.
I do like the idea of population factoring into expansion, if you look at the player city system that was in Star Wars Galaxies, they basically had to place a town hall, and then entice players into living there, the more players that moved in made more options available to build as the city grew in status. I cannot remember if the actual bounds of the city moved but this basically forced you to make the city in a great location along with making the buildings packed in nicely with the space you had to work with instead of expanding to ridiculous distances to make it bigger.
You might want to simply have it grow to a limited distance too, like you start with 1 block adjacent but can only expand to say 10 blocks for example. This might stop cities from growing too big and give people good reasons to start their own cities elsewhere.
Really liking the look of the game so far, keep up the great work!
You clearly do not understand what smoothing groups are, they are in fact applied to that model and cause the weird shadow effects.
Going by the little alternate doodles at the top I would guess he just does it all through graphics tablet into photoshop or similar. If my tablet wasn't so terrible I'd do every sketch or drawing through PC only, shame I can't drop £1k to get a decent one.
Exclamation points? Haven't seen those since the days of Morrowind :P Those are missing models not textures (although could be both), missing textures simply make items purple or occasionally invisible. I had that problem early when the CK came out, it fixed itself during an update so not sure how else to fix it. Maybe the CK isn't loading bsa archives?
Awesome, will buy as soon as I get my funds from TF2 items :P
Odd, same look as the Kenshi beds, the textures are identical, only difference is Kenshi has single beds.
Different alpha, the Realms alpha is separate completely and is not technically an update yet, far too many people would have access if every Minecraft buyer during the alpha period of the game was allowed in.
Star Citizen, and plenty of others. But yes Kenshi is better than most AAA games in graphics and gameplay.
It also depends even more heavily on your own personal skill in modelling, texturing and everything else. If you have never modeled before then it will obviously take a good while longer than someone who has done modelling for years.
Well it is on steam...so...
Read the very short summary.
One does not simply 'remove' Herobrine.
Words cannot describe how awesome that looks.
