You can post your technical difficulties or other questions here if you like, and I will do my best to answer them. Please do not post the following: spam - yes, I don't want any question about the release date or mod progress - I'm not allowed to comment on such things, so don't ask. suggestions - We have plans, we'll open up a suggestions thread on the forum if we need something. Beta tester slots - We don't randomly hand out Beta Tester slots, we only give them to respected community verterans and people we knoe in real life. Even then, only the higer-ups have the power to do so. Praise or critiism of the mod: Post this stuff on the mod pages, not here.

We're sorry, but no blog posts were found here. Boring yes, but as confucius always said - if you have nothing good to say, why say anything at all? Check back later, perhaps something exciting will pop-up and be worth blogging about, like season 3 of the teletubbies.
Speak your mind, rant about games, mods and the development scene, it's simple and who knows maybe someone will read it and agree. It will feel right!

Will the Armour, Salvage and Special Weapons generals work with AI in 0.952?
the new general's AI (as well as fixes to other general's AI) have just been made, but have yet to enter the internal testing phase. Also, 0.952 is turing out to be bigger than expected, and thus has been changed from a patch to a full release.
So I guess to answer your question, no there will be no new AI for 0.952, because 0.952 no longer exists. =P
The next version is now 0.96, and I don't know whether or not it has AI or not. If it comes out soon (as in shortly after the release of Rise of the Reds in December) than probably no. If we have more time to work on it, than there's a higher possibility of the new AI being added.
I hope you saw my message of feedback for the mod. If not, here it is again:
I have been playing shockwave 0.95 and the 0.951 patch for a while now. Both seem to lag a lot more than the regular zero hour. All of my friends suffer from this lag.
I don't like start units, so my friends and I disable them. This however means to other people online also on 0.951 of shockwave see the games we make as a different version. This is because start units are default for the mod and not many people would change it to no start units. I was just wondering if you could make it the other way around so 'no start units' was default.
Best mod I have played so far. Seems to be pretty well balanced too.
However I feel the 'Siege Soldiers' (Mortar Men) for china are a little over powering and sort of hard to kill. A lot of the unit pictures (when you are in the war factory etc) - Seem a little over crowded and complicated rather than just showing the unit. (Unlike official Zero Hour).
The new colours are cool (Dark Green, Dark Maroon, Brown) however I think they could be used to an unfair advantage. Green, Orange and Cyan are camo enough on grass, desert and snow (Harder to see on the mini map, never mind dark ones). Black would be cool, white or grey wouldn't work as they units would look neutral.
It's a shame the new army AI's don't build and that there are no current missions but the game play and new units really make up for it.
I'm highly addicted to the mod at the moment, if only it wasn't so darn laggy and slow.
Looking forward to the '1.0 patch' - thank you shockwave team.
There are areas of improvement and it's a shame map hack works online with it. Nice to see the bugs such as 'micro glitch' and 'scud bug' fixed.
I give it a 4.5/5* rating.
Sorry for taking so long to respond; I don't look at my profile, and I only really respond to questions I see on the main page. (Or ones that I deem relevant).
The lag may be caused by our new AI, as it is more advanced than the orig one and uses more processor power. Otherwise, I really don't know, as I and most people on the forum seem to not experience this problem.
Most people online (at least the ones that play in the official and semi-official Hamachi servers) don't use start units. We may change no start units to be the default in later versions or remove it all together.
SW no longer accepts suggestions, as we are beginning or at least trying to finalize the game. Don't worry though, because the next version is a Super Ultra Balance fixer; probably 2-3 stats of every single unit in the game has been tweaked and fixes a lot of the balance issues. (such as Ironside and Fai being really damn powerful).
There was a discussion about house colors and whether or not some of them should be banned, but in the end, we thought 'hey, if you choose green on a forest map, than good for you!' It's only mildly tactically relevant.
AI doesn't build because there is no AI. We disabled the mission \s because 0.95 changed the game so much that most of the missions were broken. The General challenges also tends to randomly crash a lot. All these issues will be fixed in time.
Hope that helped.
