Why on earth couldn't they put serious time, effort, and most importantly love into a Halo RTS that could be awesome? This mod is exactly what I and probably others wanted, but there won't be a massive online community to play with for it. Ughhh, Halo was originally going to be an RTS in the first place.. So why can't Bungie go make a decent RTS for us console gamers? I can't find a single good RTS game for XBOX 360 that hasn't had it's servers shut down...

Use notepad to edit the "Factions.xml".Press CRT-F and find "Unit_Cap" and change every value to the cap you want. Make sure you are under the faction you want to change the Population Cap for.

The cockpit seems to have very low visibility for an aircraft with that fat canopy structure, but as a whole it looks amazing! I think it was like that in Reach anyway though.

I honestly don't like Brutes. They just don't seem very Halo-ish to me. It makes the Covenant look less orderly when there are like 20 different types of units you can build and a third of those have completely different color schemes. I like the simpler Halo: CE type Covenant with about three different vehicles (I'm throwing the Scarab in there), two aircraft, and three races of infantry. But I suppose Brutes deserve to be in this anyway because they are pretty important in the story line, even if there weren't any on Halo (Installation 04) in the first place.

I'm glad to see that this is how this game is going to be! Co-op will be amazing too, but what happens when someone dies? Can the player no longer do anything but watch as his friend uses one of those 12 gauge shells on his head?

It'd be REALLY cool to have to worry things like finding survivors, hunger, sanity, rest, fuel for electric generators, fatigue, and structural integrity if you locked yourself up in a little house with a basement full of canned beans and a 12 gauge shotgun. All that would set this game apart from all the other zombie games I've played for the better. I really would love to help you with this project, but I'm a somewhat mediocre modder. All I've ever done was edit other people's meshes and textures as well as edit a few lines of script to meet my own ends. I also know NOTHING of Cryengine 3.

Anybody else think the ODST sniper unit needs a spotter buddy (a guy with a BR by his side)? It gets pretty lonely out there on the field with no one to talk to except for your rifle. Oh, and I guess you have a slight tactical advantage with a spotter to cover you when it all hits the fan. (To balance this you could give a Jackal Sniper a spotter with a Carbine as well)

Infantry won't shoot at air on their own (at least marines vs banshees).

The field of view is very small for most units. (everyone else may for some reason like this, I personaly don't like it because it's very unrealistic)

I think the AA wraith is well balanced in that it takes up so much population. With only a unit cap of 9, you can only have three and no units to support them.

Although I really wish the population cap was a few points higher. Massive grunt assault anyone?
