WAIT! Don't upgrade to Windows 10! Mental Omega doesn't work with Win10! You'll also find that Win8 crashes significantly more than Win7 while playing Mental Omega.

Hmm. It seems I've hit yet another stump. Playing the game solo, is a go, or at least it was at first. None of us can get the game to work if we click the play on CnCnet option. Nothing happens, and when I check in my task manager, it shows that gamemo is running, but nothing happens, even if I let it sit for 20-30 minutes. I've changed all my settings around, ran in and out of every compatibility mode, 16 bit, 8, 32, turned off my firewall and anti-virus, but no go. Any ideas? Windows 10. The game only runs in WIndows 10 mode in 16-bit windowed via the singleplayer "launch Mental Omega" option. Comparability modes don't work for it.

It would seem the constant crashing was because we all used Windows 8. After some tinkering, we managed to get it running on Windows 10. Oddly enough, setting the launcher to run in any sort of compatibility mode actually caused the game NOT to work at all. Just running it in normal Windows 10 mode with it set to 16 bit pixel depth got it working in windowed mode. The game runs a little slow though. (we're talking a laggy 2v2 game against easy level A.I.s) I downloaded the Windows 10 compatibility patch for Twisted Insurrection, and that fixed my lag problems for that mod, so hopefully you guys are working on some kind of Windows 10 optimizations too.

Wording fail. It's a full crash then. We all use the same copy though... So MO isn't supposed to crash constantly then?

So I got MO working multiplayer wise, but, is it normal for the game to crash 10/10 times? We always make it about halfway through our multiplayer game, and then it crashes on somebody's side, sending us back to the menu to try again.

Hey Speeder, is LAN supported by MO 3.0? Or do I need to get the Westwood shared online components and use the MO guild thingy to play this game with my father in the same house?

I can't select past tier II for Skirmish matches? Is this intended? If so, it's pretty hard to play without a radar... Should have made that tier II then. I can't really play the mod in this state.

Hi, I don't mean to be another of "those" ********, but, since the latest release is from 2010. Any time frame on a new release? Nothing specific, maybe even within years. Think you might have something for us by the end of 2015? Just tried the mod out, and it's shaping up to be my favorite one so far, and knowing you have all of this extra material sitting on your computer I could be messing with... :P

I think I may have the problem. Hey ThatOneBullet? You were saying something about integrated graphics cards having problems because the mod is so high end, right? Well I have a laptop, from 2006, mayhaps that's the problem? Republic at War, Stargate: Pegasus Chronicals, and Rise of the Mandalorians all work fine on my system. No graphical glitches at all. Maybe I'm missing something hardware/software wise like some opengl 3.0 shader or something? 'Causing all the errors?

As long as the save feature makes it one day! Mission 4 would be easy with a save feature. Without it, it's a pretty grueling process. You require all 7 of your rocketeers, and both marines alive for just about the entire mission, but a single miss click can land a Tsivil chasing after your marines, or a stray flak trooper killing one of your Rocketeers off screen. I say that you need all of your units, because at a certain point, unless you have both marines, you can't get past the turrets guarding an entrance, and if you have too few Rocketeers, they won't be strong enough to out damage the repair tick on the turrets guarding the bases. Marines are supposed to get the flak cannons, so that your Rocketeers can get the sentry guns for your marines. Some spots require very tricky, and painstaking killing/sneaking. Like, at one point, two anti-air tanks are guarding a road, and you have to position your marines just right so that they can take pot shots at them until they're dead without gaining their agro, which takes a while. As did killing that one Warminer in the lower left hand corner of the map. Too many Flak Cannons for the Rocketeers to get near, so I had to do the same, take two shots, fall back, heal, hide around a wall, take two pot shots, the Warminer leaves the ore field because it's under fire, wait for it to return, etc. Was very frustrating slowly picking off units one at a time like that, only to miss click once, and have a marine get too close to a sentry gun, and be killed almost instantly by it. ... Or worse yet, even though your waypoint was nowhere near the sentry, he still decided to run straight for it, and then turn at the last second for your destination...

The mission however, is very well done I must say. Once it gets a save feature, it'll be fine. Felt like I was playing one of those old Commando games!

Curious, is 1.2 out? Or is the 2013 upload the latest one? Also, experienced players, which is better, this, or Stars Wars Clone Wars? Both are big downloads, but in the same time period. Is one or the other particularly better than its counterpart? Which should I be downloading? Both rank highly on the main page.

Well, you've certainly made the new campaign hard, I'll give you that. 15 tries, and roughly 12 hours later, and I have yet to reach objective 3 on the 4th mission of the Allied campaign. A single miss-click, and it's all over. Restart the entire mission. I really wish Mental Omega had a save feature...

Are we supposed to have 2.5 installed before installing 2.6? I've tried over and over again, but every time I install 2.6, even when done manually. I spawn with no space stations, missing units, no skins, etc, like I didn't install the full mod...

Is it because I have the Gold Pack version of the game?I re-installed everything twice, still looks like this. Even after a manual install. Used to look like that with the old Rebellion too if I recall. Maybe I'll try without patching the game to 1.1. Or maybe you guys use some kind of new program that's too new for my old system? So nothing is displayed right? What did you use to make the mod? Maybe I don't have some fancy 3.0 gl shader thing or something in my graphics card.

Okay, new problem... I have everything installed, the game managed to launch the mod, but. Everything in the mod is without textures, or the textures are all messed up like someone pulled the cartridge of out an old games console. That's not intentional, is it? Is there a fix for that? Should I just manually install then? Or?
