It's brand is MPC, and it has an ATI Mobility Raedeon 9700. Runs EAW and FOC great, and most mods. This is the first one, where I'm having a lot of trouble.

As long as the save feature makes it one day! Mission 4 would be easy with a save feature. Without it, it's a pretty grueling process. You require all 7 of your rocketeers, and both marines alive for just about the entire mission, but a single miss click can land a Tsivil chasing after your marines, or a stray flak trooper killing one of your Rocketeers off screen. I say that you need all of your units, because at a certain point, unless you have both marines, you can't get past the turrets guarding an entrance, and if you have too few Rocketeers, they won't be strong enough to out damage the repair tick on the turrets guarding the bases. Marines are supposed to get the flak cannons, so that your Rocketeers can get the sentry guns for your marines. Some spots require very tricky, and painstaking killing/sneaking. Like, at one point, two anti-air tanks are guarding a road, and you have to position your marines just right so that they can take pot shots at them until they're dead without gaining their agro, which takes a while. As did killing that one Warminer in the lower left hand corner of the map. Too many Flak Cannons for the Rocketeers to get near, so I had to do the same, take two shots, fall back, heal, hide around a wall, take two pot shots, the Warminer leaves the ore field because it's under fire, wait for it to return, etc. Was very frustrating slowly picking off units one at a time like that, only to miss click once, and have a marine get too close to a sentry gun, and be killed almost instantly by it. ... Or worse yet, even though your waypoint was nowhere near the sentry, he still decided to run straight for it, and then turn at the last second for your destination...

The mission however, is very well done I must say. Once it gets a save feature, it'll be fine. Felt like I was playing one of those old Commando games!

Yeah it launches, but looks like this -> I.imgur.com In this game, I was graced by the presence of a space station after resetting a good 10 or so times. I have also completely re-installed my game 5 times. Have also re-downloaded and re-installed the mod the same number of times.

Well, you've certainly made the new campaign hard, I'll give you that. 15 tries, and roughly 12 hours later, and I have yet to reach objective 3 on the 4th mission of the Allied campaign. A single miss-click, and it's all over. Restart the entire mission. I really wish Mental Omega had a save feature...

Is it because I have the Gold Pack version of the game?I re-installed everything twice, still looks like this. Even after a manual install. Used to look like that with the old Rebellion too if I recall. Maybe I'll try without patching the game to 1.1. Or maybe you guys use some kind of new program that's too new for my old system? So nothing is displayed right? What did you use to make the mod? Maybe I don't have some fancy 3.0 gl shader thing or something in my graphics card.

Same thing, but if I left the names alone, then it launched, but the textures are all sorts of messed up... Not sure how to fix it. Tried a manual install, but still didn't work.

EDIT!: I found the error fix. The 1.1 patch launcher cannot find the FoC directory for the "Gold Pack" version of the game, because it's the wrong name. Go to your FoC folder, and find the file that is called "LaunchEAWX" and re-name it to "EAWXLauncher" and it will then be able to find your install. It's that simple. That file is right inside of your FoC folder, can't miss it.

That 1.1 FoC patch, it says that it cannot find my install? I even placed the file directly into my FoC directory, and it still can't find it. How can I fix this? I tried to launch the mod, but it fails on some kind of error, I suspect it's failing to launch because I lack the 1.1 patch.

When I play, the easy A.I. doesn't even build anything, and the normal level A.I. completely steam rolls me in the first 15 minutes of the game... By the time I get my first tank out, (An APC no less) they're coming at me with 7-8 squads, I barely even have my two starting capture points built onto yet... I have to play with at least one other ally A.I. to beat a normal level A.I., but it's hard to do that, because my frame rate tanks down to 1-7FPS when I have more than 1 A.I. in the game.

Okay, after some digging around, and messing with files, I figured out what was causing the model error on the capture points. That's solved now, but the very small issue of the scattered loading screen still remains. To my knowledge, it doesn't seem to be inhibiting the game in anyway. The only inhibitions I see, are random and sudden frame losses that go from 90-100FPS down to 1-5FPS for like a second, and then jump back up at random. Probably something on my end though.

I just completely removed Soulstorm, and reinstalled it. Then I ONLY installed the base 1.7.3 UA mod, no patch, no Tyranids, just the one 900mb installer. The game is doing the same scrambled pink mess for a loading screen, and when I select UA from the game manager, it says that it has failed to launch the requested game. Am I missing some kind of patch that's required to make UA work or something?

I have a couple of small problems with this mod. All the capture points are pink squares that say, "BAD MODEL! CHECK THE LOG!" all over them. The power station points look fine though; but the strategic/critical/relic points are all the pink boxes. Any way to fix this? Also, the loading screen looks like I pulled a cartridge out of my NES mid-game. (You older people out there will know what I mean.) Did I install something wrong? Also, I have ALL the race mods; but the Tyranids are the only playable extra race. Is it supposed to be that way?
