Actually he can do with just the Release Beta installer, no need for the Hotfix before installing this patch!
There are 4 phasers and 2 quantum launchers on the integrated Prometheus, and there are the same on each of the parts of the ship. You do the math :)

You'll find more non-canon ships where there are holes of that nature to fill, for example the Federation is the only race you can expect to have mostly or all canon ships simply because there's enough of them to fill out a fleet :)

There is an AI, not a very good one but one that works on at least all of the mod team's computers...
Try adding "-windowed" to the shortcut, Homeworld 2 tends to display an error message (if any) only when the windowed function is enabled. It might help diagnose the problem.
I just finished playing through the beta, just a couple of quick games.
It's pretty solid for a beta! I especially like how you can keep the normal Zero Hour in the background! I wish more mods were as flexible :)

How have you gone about the balancing with the vanilla races?
I'd imagine it'd be UNSC ≈ Higgarans ≈ Vagyr and Covenant at about 1.5 to 1.7 of their strength.

I really like the concept for Iridium... does the whole skybox rotate around the map to make it look like it's spinning? Is it fast enough to be disorienting? :P

Here's a story idea, an experiment with some sort of temporal device (or something from a crashed alien ship or ancient device~ etc) causes a rift somewhere and draws through all sorts of historical characters but mostly dinosaurs. You'd need to either simply escape before a final collapse of the device and destruction of the remote location it was in or try and get to it and reverse the rift.
Depending on the storyline you take you could have an entire range of foes and allies, tools and weapons and sundry at your disposal. From primitive to futuristic, terrestrial to interstellar.
It would be interesting to flesh this story idea out for you guys if you like the airy concept that I just came up with :P

Is there a way they can simply add in the existing ships? I'm sure as an add in to Freespace 2 what's been done would still be wildly appreciated.
Can we get a bigger version of your scale chart? The next time you release one I mean. The size difference between the largest and the smallest ships is so extreme that the dinky picture up the top doesn't give it all the *umph* it should have.

I 100% reccomend incorporating the Star Trek: New Worlds units in the mod for your next release! Phaser or Disruptor hover-tanks blasting the SW walkers to bits would be great fun!
Instead of incorporating new races I reccomend you add ground troops to existing races before you proceed. You can of course do what you want but that's my advice anyway!
Unless you have an "Orbital Bombardment" option and can have laces of torpedoes and phaser fire raining down from the heavens as the Trek unit's ground presence :P
