They use a special script that has all the races in one, we used the actual races and now have too much done to redo the whole mod :)
If it were a matter of not wanting to then we could be convinced by the sheer times that people ask us the question, we are however *unable* to because of how the scripts work.
You will still be happy with the results, trust me :)

You're right! That question has been asked before, and the answer is no, sorry, but the Era mechanic we're using precludes the use of any races that weren't there in all 4 Eras

At the moment the Federation have the most TMP ships in game, but there are not many canon ships left to draw on, so it might make the line up.

Looking online I can see that sometimes there is use of Probert's Ambassador study model for the Excalibur (I am assuming you mean the one in the books), we probably wont include that ship model.
These ships are all from Starfleet Command 2, the one above is a dreadnought :P
Actually there will be no Enterprise C in the mod (or A, D and J for that matter).

With HW2 it's hit-and-miss as far as new graphics cards supporting it and the shader 2 model that was developed for it. Have a look through the bug reports thread and see if anyone has a similar card to you, you can try down-grading your shaders too, that has fixed it on a few people's machines :)
Everyone likes to customise their ships, in the Star Trek Continuum mod we have varying degrees of colouration. The Fed ships only have little stripes on them whereas the Klingons and Romulans have heaps more.
I'm sure you will be able to find an appropriate balance too :)

To fit it into TMP it will be an experimental "prototype" in a similar fashion to the D'Talla Warbird.
We're going to put it forward as the first Federation ship with collimated phaser arrays instead of the double ball turrets like on the rest of the TMP ships.
I hope that one day you feel that the Free Mod 1st person script is good enough to release for other mods to use.
I know that I would love trying to do a mission in Continuum that used the script :)
