Shortly means when I've finished adding in the fixes for things people have noticed since release, also possibly one other thing which I didn't have time for. I am not waiting for the Gearbox Tools though, don't need them to release on HW2C

This is caused by the logo, the new HW2 is essentially not compatible. You'll have to wait for our release on Steam

This is an issue with WinXP apparently, we have a launcher which (with .Net 4) can run on XP. This will be released shortly.

Alternatively you really should upgrade, XP has not been supported for almost a year and is a huge security risk for you
