I play video games, occasionally mod them. I am decent with Photoshop, Paint.NET and Autodesk Inventor. Currently a Mechanical Eng. student.
I modded GTA back in the day. Haven't really done anything serious with it.
1. Free-Play is still in a beta stage ;)
2. Yes, in fact there are more items in v1.2. For weapons we are going to add another 2 or so. Too many new weapons defeats the originality of the game...
3. In 1.2 weapon damage is much higher, less ammo is available and smarter AI.
But we still stuck on the fixing crashes in the red forest, so 1.2 is far from finished. I am busy uploading the v1.2 alpha for those of you who want to get a peak of whats to come...
Ok first of all there is a prefetch tweak inside the mod to decrease the loading time. I'll check up on the other stuff
It must be installed into your stalker root directory, the folder name must be gamedata, it is created...

Go to "gamedata\configs\environment\ambients" and delete yantar.ltx you will still be able to continue the game, one warning there's another crash in the red forest, update fixing that is nearing completion...

Ok, in gamedata\configs\weapons\ammo. The file "ammo_357_hp_mag" is probably not there... Were there any errors during installation?
Have you got any stack traces that could identify why the problem is occurring? Refer to the "Bug reports" header for info on how to submit a proper bug report...
I've made a workaround that should fix the problem, I am going to upload the next patch (v1.1.1) this weekend. I'm to busy now to finish the compile.

The case I am modding is a gigabyte setto 1000... By default it has setto written in the front. As seen in the drawing.
The bandit base can be reached and conquered by the loners.

Directly after crashing, is there any crash log data on the clipboard?
Should be just fine, I would recommend using Enhanced Full Dynamic Lighting (Dx9).
Also check the pdf for details on setting the mod up for DX9.

The mod is still WIP, as of now we are still building the core structure of the mod. I can't say when the release will be.
The Faction Wars will be much more entertaining. The renegades can be defeated and bandits take longer to spawn. Duty and Freedom will have proper skirmishes with each other...
