Welcome! I come from Croatia, small but proud country in the Balkans with big, traditional and rich history full of national pride and heroes. I love post-apocalyptic,sci-fi and mix of horror and survival games. My favourite games are Metro 2033 and Metro Last Light, Warhammer 40k Dawn of War, Stalker, Killzone, Resident Evil (not the new ones, oh GOD NO!), Dead Space, Bioshock and Company of Heroes. Navik on živi ki zgine pošteno!
Metro 2033 is a post-apocalyptic horror shooter based on famous novel by Russian author Dmitry Glukhovsky.
This piece of art was made by Ukrainian studio 4A Games.
In 2013, global nuclear war ravaged the planet. Americans launched nuclear strikes against Russian Federation and Russia retaliated only minutes before first nukes hit the Russian soil. People in Moscow mostly hid into the metro system. During next years, vegetation and animals began to mutate into blood thirsty monsters. You play as Artyom, male survivor whose mother was killed in attack by first generation nosalises who mutated from rats. Your station, VDNKh, is under constant threat from Chorny ( Dark Ones) - humanoid mutants who are towering a head over a tallest man. Any contact with them drives the man insane, which in the end leads to death. Your station is visited by Order's most elite and skilled warrior - Hunter to see how to deal with Dark Ones. Just before he goes to explore tunnels, he gives Artyom his ranger dog tag - writing Sparta, and wants Artyom to promise him that if he does not return, he must go to Miller at Polis station and tell him the situation. Hunter does not return and so our hero's journey begins... After fighting through the mutants, crazed fanatical Nazis and even more fanatical Soviets, and even reaching what remains of Moscow, he reaches Polis. He makes contact with Miller and so the Council is called up. They decide they will not help Artyom and his station. Miller, frustrated from the decision the Council made, decides to help Artyom personally. After going through city library and meeting face to face with scariest creatures, the Librarians, he finally finds military archive and the documents concerning the famed D6. D6 is a huge bunker built by Soviets to stockpile weapons and food in case of nuclear war in Cold War. After making everything work, you must climb the radio tower to install laser designator which will pinpoint the location for the missiles, which will destroy the Dark Ones. After he mounts the designator, he gets haunted by hallucinations and visions of Dark Ones. They understand what you want to do and they are trying to explain that they are trying to help and make contact with humanity, not destroy it. Artyom, now realizing what Dark Ones true intentions were, sits down and cries as it is too late. Missiles struck down and destroyed the Botanical Gardens where the Dark Ones once lived. It is a mistake Artyom will never recover from....
