I thought Dark Troopers were Droids? How is there an infected version?
Don't you just love when the devs of a mod just fall off the face of the earth with no warning or reason as to why they quit a mod?
It's all in the caliber and the parts. M16s and similar rifles have many smaller moving parts that make it to where most of the energy created from the gas building up in the chamber goes into cycling the weapon, it also fires a small caliber compared to many other rifles (some people call the .223/5.56 round a "****** off" .22 which is not far from the truth). An AK47 on the other hand has very few parts, that are also large. The most prevalent of these large parts is the huge bolt compared to an M16's, which when it's pushed back from the gas tube only adds to the recoil caused by the larger 7.62x39 round. I personally haven't used many 5.56 rifles in AO3. I prefer my souped up AKS-47, but no 5.56 weapon should function as chinasolier described unless all the parts are loose and do not fit properly which if that was the case it would be extremely unsafe to operate, IE a STALKER would be more likely to have a part fly out and through his hand or another body part than he would be to shoot a Bandit after his loot.
The Holographic Sights are either not working properly or not working at all.

A real deal surplus Russian SKS cannot take T-63 magazines. A Type 63 is more like an AK with an SKS body as far as how it functions as a rifle. Personally I'd like to see both a good 'ol Tula (or the rare Izhmash) SKS and the Type 63.
I've been waiting a long time for a mod like this. I've been playing this game since it came out and I never got tired of it. The only reason I quit playing it was because of newer incompatible hardware. But now with this, I'm definitely going to find a way to get it to work again. Thank you for putting your time into one of my favorite games of all time.

Some of the optic sights have no reticule or zoom, such as the Marksman M14.
I love this mod. It'd be nice to see some Kel-Tec weapons added.

So does this mod just enhance AI and make some kit tweaks/modifications or does it add bots to maps that are only playable on multiplayer as well?

Meh, both visors from either game look 99% similar but I think it is originated from SWRC, because as you look, you can see the rim that is under the glass/plastic part of the visor just like in RC. Just google the inside of a republic commando helmet ingame and compare this one and the one from the other game and they both look very similar but one has alot more hardware.

Or heres another thought. Considering 99% of the time when people curse to express their "opinion" it means they hate something, or does "strongly dislike" sound better? If someone wants their opinion to actually be considered, they can state it without being asinine and showing a little bit of common decency will get them a long way of being heard. If some one curses about something I automatically dont take them very seriously depending on what it is. And in this case I wouldnt take them seriously.
That hud is from Star Wars Republic Commando :p The shape of it is very distinct.
But either way it IS very cool and like the armor chart.
Once you find a Wrenched(or any anti rad type artifact) and a Koloboko the game becomes substantially less difficult as it may not heal as fast as med kits, it allows you to roam without having atleast more than 2 (those two just to speed up the rate of healing if need be) and a few bandages.
I think the addition of the Kel-Tec KSG would be very nice in any future patches or addons ;)

Well, I can see why Sniper and Recon are the most popular. In RL I would definitely be an assaulter due to my build. But my favorite is still Sniper because of its blend between Recon and Assaulter. Also Recon is good due to its speed and medical application prowess. Honestly, in the zone your not going to last long if your slow and bully, high endurance or not. You can play many different roles in STALKER, as it was made to fit many different types of play styles for people that have their own personal preferences. But as stated before you cant be slow in the zone. Im sure some people will be able to use the Assaulter class very well and be good with it, but all in all Recon and Sniper are your best bet for getting through the treacherous Zone in one piece with any kind of ease there is in this mod.
The GL? Yeah, if you modified the mount to sit lower, or actually fold in the bipod (or both) then I could see it being useable. But other than that in RL it would most definitely hit it and bounce off.
