This is less a review, more a first impression.

Do not download this mod if you value your sanity...

I've played a half-dozen games in GC as the republic, and every single time, the Confederacy has access to no less than 6-10 capital ships.

These ships are armed to the teeth with hangars that would put a hornet's nest to shame.

Needless to say, this has led to some frustrating, and frequently cheap, defeats on my end.

And on top of that, the computer performs with designs on your man-salad regardless of difficulty setting. The half-dozen attempts I made were on *EASY*!

Until the difficulty is given a serious overhaul, I cannot recommend this mod to anyone but those crazy enough to go into a Korean Starcraft tournament.

That is not to say that the mod is *all* bad. The audio is top notch. The graphics are pretty (but then, what isn't these days). And the new GC maps are HUGE!

Final Word: Your mileage may vary, if you are skilled (or crazy) enough to take on the hard-setting from base game, check it out. Otherwise, avoid if you don't want to suffer an aneurysm.

EDIT: I've gone back in as the Confederacy to figure out how they could possibly pull so many ships out of their mechanical *****...

Thing is, THEY SHOULDN'T!

Craft prices are scaled appropriately for both side, meaning that either the Confederacy is pulling the extra ships out of the ether, or the AI design is in desperate need of work.

They are working to patch the aforementioned balance issues.

But in its current state my previous statement stands, avoid if you value your mental state.

Mod is fantastic! What Battlefront 3 oughta be! (If lucasarts would quit AXING the damnded project!)Handles great! On the ground AND in space! Wish there were more mods like this!
