NO FLAN NO
Alright, I'll clarify some stuff here. These reports all seem to be about crazy variants yes. There's a lot of work going behind the scenes which select people can access including the development of a campaign, challenges, multiplayer, game optimisation and gameplay mechanics like wingmen command and countermeasure systems. As TS said, the next reports may focus on making these mechanics public.
Also, Vector Thrust is slated for a Q2 release on Steam.
It' just ingame, and is not currently capable of VTOL.
VTOL hasn't been implemented in-game yet. That being said we discovered some pretty funky hovering when using AoA mode with some aircraft.
Check the Screenshots Thread for some goodies (VT and (un)related?)
The game is currently in closed development- there was an Alpha open for purchase a year ago. That's the reason behind the downloads.
First quarter, son.
From what I've seen from the UI, it resembles 3DS Max more.
There is an dev edition currently on Steam, only available to people actively participating in the game's development.
As for your proposed model, any 3D program capable of exporting to the Ogre Engine will do, provided you can model the aircraft. TS uses 3DSMax, which you'll have to buy if you're not a student.
Also by your statement in regards to the rest of the designs: "but don’t worry, their addition is something to look forward in future."
Does that hint at more releases for the runner ups?
Congratulations to KnX! His design was one of the major contenders, in my opinion.
I'd also like to see a tally of the votes for each entry, that'll certainly be interesting for feedback.
Development has progressed immensely P:
If you want a better looking HUD, I released a add-on a year ago that gave it more of an Ace Combat look. You can check it out in the Downloads section. (I should really release the 2.0 version I've been working on.)
Indie of the Year.
Most likely the F-22, from the stuff I have been getting >__> descriptions nearly killed me
The game is currently close for decvelopment. It will be released earler 2014, and you can't get in unless you bought the game earlier.
please fix bomb aiming :((((
It's just some fluff I wrote up :P
Not the one I'm looking for, I'm afraid :(
Hey TS, was wondering where that Aircraft list went. I'm on holidays at the moment, so I have a lot of free time.
Hey man, sorry for bringing up an old topic, but remember your old Ukagaka thing you pulled up named Kaori? I've been screwing around with her and I'd like to know where I can edit the speech.
I see. Carry on then.
Requesting a status update on the in-game (gameplay) cutscene system and how to use it if it has been implemented?
Can you give us a description of your error/issue?
We'll probably be getting a steam gift code or something.
pls teach )):
So do you have a totally "free" reign over game development and design? It's important that they do not limit your freedom to develop the game how you choose. Good luck with getting everything on track and published nicely.
While the art style is going to remain the same, please remember to update the graphics and afterburner/explosions, etc. effects- they were one of the things that the Greenlighters didn't like.
Also remember to include landing/take-off, Anti-Submarine Warfare, Infiltration-Reconnaissance, MOAR SUPERWEAPONS for us to use in our campaigns, and GUI and Hangar updates. Remember to stick the F-14 in there too >:0.
If you're stuck on Multiplayer gamemodes and stuff, the Forum Section has a ton of great ideas. Here's hoping for a unbuggy and well-optimised multiplayer.
Finally, if you need any descriptions for new weapons/aircraft, you can grab me here or through my email.
I think requesting a demo is perfectly justifiable. I wouldn't like shelling out $12 for a game I couldn't run.
@V300 I think he means system requirements
Spark, I think just about any self-respecting desktop computer would be able to run VT. I have integrated graphics, and I can run it on Very High :I
In the vector-thrust root file, there should be a folder named "Objects". After opening that, head to the "Aircraft" folder. Once inside, you should be able to see all the current aircraft in the game. Inside every aircraft folder, there should be a .ini file. Open that up in Notepad, and set the HP to the desire amount. I'm not sure how much damage missiles do in game, so you'll have to do a bit of experimenting. As for your ammunition issue, there should be a section where the available weapons for that unit are outlined. Just reduce all the ammo counts for the weapons to the desired amount.
Though all in all, Vector Thrust and Ace Combat are 'arcade' flight simulators, and I'm sure you know that it's been a staple of the series to have aircraft carry 40+ missiles, even on the harder difficulties. :)
I don't think porting a map works ):
