Starting from the second chapter, the mod blooms like a flower. I like urban design: some curved streets, small yards, modernism-style block buildings and cute trams.
In terms of beauty and design, atmospheric everyday scenes, this game reminded me The Citizen 2. Not about citizen, but about common CP officer.
Unlike The Citizen, UPRISING shooting gameplay is more dynamic and fun.
IMHO: i think it's fair to say that this is more enjoyable that Entropy:Zero. Cool level design, interesting gameplay, nice scenes. I recomended this mod.

Sometimes soft locs, most puzzles are very easy, but in general, i satisfied by this mod. Glad to see that someone doing nice stuff for portal 1.

Its really avangard of modern source-modding, people waited it and get it in quality that they wanted.

Sure, lever-art is visually not surprising, however, other is very cool, especially, gameplay. I think, E:Z2 is the best gameplay in hl2-modding.
It will surprise you with many features applied in shooter gameplay, weapon usability, new NPCs, interaction with your allies and new enemies behavior features. You won't be bored playing it.

The only problem is level-art. Many places that look worse than the original hl2. There are fewer beautiful locations, but they exist
But I won't lower the rating because everything else in mod makes up for it.

This is a huge gift to the community and authors deserves a bunch of respects.

Finally, mod about modding community meta. Actual drama, topical issues. Some author's view about small inclusive communities that can be full of filth inside. I guess, author already persona non grata in some ideological literary club masked as digital-art community.

Also, i have no idea how author made this hotline-style effetcs, letters, dynamic neon gradients on level background. It is beutifull shell for story and gameplay. Gameplay: so hard! And required try-try-try again, but tecnically, levels are not many and you can finish mod in single act.
Oh yes, be ready to ragequit when your dance of dead will be broken becouse door is too narrow.

Glad to see that this mod is not about "this is just recovered beta maps", this is recovered beta ideas. Some author's content looks so authentic that it make feel like i played Valve's missing content.
Also, most landscapes are fantastic, this huge spaces looks like represent of concept arts.
Nice attention for some small details, this is reputable.

In gameplay i had problems when i had to leave car and go down on rock ledges. In other time mod was understabable and interesting.

Nice gloomy grey art, good level design, nice scripted scenes,
but sometimes aggressive balance make you empty when one "arena" changed with next "arena" without resupply locations between.

Wow, this mod surprised me.
I started playing thinking that this is low-quality mappack that help me spend this boring evening.
But when i started playing - i couldn't stop, mod immersed me in itself.

Maybe it looks not very attractive, but level design, game design, gameplay innovations gave me wonderful hl2-mod expierence.

This is one of those mods that needs to be judged by gameplay, not visual. This is collection of unique features, not too intrusive humor, complexity of gameplay is honest to player.
If mods Like Lost Under the Snow and Below the Ice are interesting for you - this mod will be too.
