There was a loner who looked identical to Military. It would be AWESOME if they had parts of military outfits, but to look exactly the same (with ranks and patches and all) is silly.
Why do the Mercenaries now look like any random Stalker? It's a little silly that one looks like a proper Merc, one a noobie and one a bandit...Also the random Stalkers that look exactly like Military, Duty, Freedom etc. Diversity is great, but making one faction look like another for the sake of it is lazy and breaks immersion.
Yeah man, Eotechs are so fragile, that's why there are thousands of them being used by the US Army and Marines...oh, wait.
Had an odd one today: I loaded a quicksave near the gas-station, all the mercs inside instantly attacked me (yeah I know, engine problem). I ran like hell, them throwing frags at me and flanking, just being clever in general.
Next time I came back for some revenge, I head-shot two of them, the rest point their guns at me and strafe, go into cover. I flank, shoot one in the head, he doesn't die (even though I'm using a Mosin Negant which should go right through armour...maybe due to it using the wrong caliber as it does IRL) and he doesn't react. Shoot him a couple times and he finally dies. His other body is less oblivious, we duel and he dies. All the while there was one Merc right next to me without me realizing, however he wasn't facing me and didn't react to me whatsoever.
So it would seem that the AI in this are either aim-bot gods who throw grenades across the map, or they belong in a creche for the deaf, dumb and blind.
A few issues I noticed:
Mosin Negant is using the wrong callibre, it should use 7.62x54 NOT 7.62x39 which is an assault rifle round used by the AKM/AK47. That's a little silly XD
Also binoculars are useless for Sniper: with the added zoom from this class, the Mosin Negant's scope has higher magnification than the binoculars, making them useless.
Also, the texture for the scopes' glass (not-zoomed in) is awful, please change XP

Just a word of advice: go to Configuration and then to ''game'', turn off ''hardcore ai aiming'' (or whatever it is) and turn off ''infinite NPC ammo''. This stops you from being shot in the head from 2 miles away :P
Problems: random CTDs, stuttering (probably need more RAM), and I can't get subtitles to show up. Though I've played COP long enough to know what NPCs are saying anyway.
It lags like that when A-life is going from offline mode to online mode, as in when the game loads the NPC models. Due to MSO, this will happen a lot. I think one needs a lot of RAM to be able to play this smoothly (I only have 4gb)
Will only take me 2 hours to download if I'm lucky :D
That's all really cool and all, but why the hell would the sniper be proficient with a shotgun? Surely it'd make more sense for Assault to be good with these.

But not gameplay :P Vanilla BF2 is a mess, but Alpha Project has better gameplay than BF3 IMO.
Only complaint is that the hammer isn't cocked. Noticed this with the vanilla weapons, feels like I'm carrying around an unloaded weapon. Bothers me so much O.o
Dipping bullets in poison, really? Need anyone even mention how that wouldn't work?
Finally, being pedantic and anal may have paid off!

I'm a Grammar Nazi, and I keep noticing many grammatical errors in your comments and posts. I do not mean this as criticism, but if you would like a competent native-speaker with above-average grammar to go through the text files from the mod, I'd be more than happy to do so :)

But how come the Standard and Customised versions (presumably same model) look fine?
Hate to be negative, but what's up with the lower receiver on the Neglected, Modern and Sniper versions? Looks like the magazine is clipping through, or the texture creator decided to make it look transparent. From handling the real thing it just looks really wrong and take away from immersion :/ Otherwise great work, it's my favourite RS rifle :)
They haven't, because they do not know when it will be released. If they gave us a release date, and didn't meet it, you'd be here bitching about it. If they gave you a release date, slated for 2 years from now, you'd still be here bitching.
So, in short, quit your bitching and let the lads finish this mod/game in peace and positive/constructive chatter :)

Lost Alpha is about recreating the old, lost STALKER (hence the name). 3rd parties (modders) can come in and add his-res, high-polly content once it's released.
