The ''release'' news is processing, and they just put up a release trailer. Download will take time to process and traffic will be horrendous. It's Moddb taking their sweet time.

I'm quite sure that's a G36K, the barrel and handguard are too short, and the barrel should extend farther away from the hand-guard if it were a G36/E.

I've seen Mercs that look like Loners and Bandits, and I've seen Loners that look exactly like Duty, Freedom, Military, Bandits. That aspect of the mod needs some reworking I think.

This is exactly why I keep saying that Owl and Beard should not trade the same things at all. It frustrates the player having to figure out who will buy what for more, and leads to exploits such as this. I do not see a logical gameplay reason for them to sell the same things.

For example, Owl will pay more/less (can't remember exactly which way it was) for a tarp than Beard, yet Beard will pay more/less for a camping-mat-thing than Owl. Also, again, I don't think Owl and Beard should buy/sell the same stuff, it doesn't present a genuine game-play challenge, just annoyance for the player who has to constantly run between the two checking the price difference...I have enough of that **** to deal with in real life, buying groceries and supermarkets, it has no place in STALKER ;)

Otherwise great work. Started a Recon save with the new patch, waaaay easier to hunt humans than mutants and pays way better too.

Jokes aside, this is beautiful! Only critique is that it's on safety :P Not much you can do about that though, I'll have to live with it like I have to live with vanilla pistols not having their hammers cocked...

I thought the same. Apparently it's because the Sniper is a hunter, and therefore would be better with shotties. I think Sniper should be good with double-barreled shotguns (hunting shotguns) and that's it. Also the sniper-rifles should be buffed so that it doesn't take 10 rounds to kill a Flesh. No hunter in the world in their right minds would want to get close to their pray in the Zone.

The economy/traders are broken IMO. Owl and Beard sell practically the same stuff and buy the same stuff. I think this is really silly, as you have to constantly run back and forth between them to see who will sell the same item for the cheapest. If it were ''realistic'' they wouldn't compete like that but rather sell different items to suit different niches in the market.

Also, the prices they buy items for is just plain broken. Owl gives me more money for mutant parts than Beard, and owl gives me more money for medicines than the Doctor would. There is no logic there. There is no set type of gear that one trader buys off of you for more money than the others. Owl will give me more money for one particular piece of camping gear, then Beard will give me more for another piece of camping gear.

Make the economy challenging, but have make sense too. Running between traders, two of whom buy and sell the same stuff, to see who sells/buys the same thing for more/less is just bad gameplay.

There was a loner who looked identical to Military. It would be AWESOME if they had parts of military outfits, but to look exactly the same (with ranks and patches and all) is silly.

It's a little silly that one looks like a proper Merc, one a noobie and one a bandit...Also the random Stalkers that look exactly like Military, Duty, Freedom etc. Diversity is great, but making one faction look like another for the sake of it is lazy and breaks immersion.

Had an odd one today: I loaded a quicksave near the gas-station, all the mercs inside instantly attacked me (yeah I know, engine problem). I ran like hell, them throwing frags at me and flanking, just being clever in general.

Next time I came back for some revenge, I head-shot two of them, the rest point their guns at me and strafe, go into cover. I flank, shoot one in the head, he doesn't die (even though I'm using a Mosin Negant which should go right through armour...maybe due to it using the wrong caliber as it does IRL) and he doesn't react. Shoot him a couple times and he finally dies. His other body is less oblivious, we duel and he dies. All the while there was one Merc right next to me without me realizing, however he wasn't facing me and didn't react to me whatsoever.

So it would seem that the AI in this are either aim-bot gods who throw grenades across the map, or they belong in a creche for the deaf, dumb and blind.
